Author's Note: Sorry to everyone who's been waiting for this next chapter, I'm really sorry that I had a late update, it's because I have so many things to do since school have started, and I'm still also doing my other stories here, I haven't been updating at my old one, sorry guys. I just hope PrincessNamine23 will still be reviewing.

Ch 6: The first conflict comes up

It's been a while since Sora and Roxas has left the kingdom, they are now in an unknown place where heat surrounds the air and a couple of dust left on their clothes.

They are now in a dessert and were trying to find a better climate than heat.

After a couple of minutes of walking around, Roxas finally spoke up, "Where do you think are we, Sora?"

"I don't quite know," Sora answered.

He stopped for awhile to inspect their suroundings, squinting for something or someone that can help them find their way to the waterfall where the queen had told them to go to.

"I have a feeling that we're kinda lost, I don't even see any signs of rivers or waterfalls around here," he continued to say.

"Well, how could we even SEE any water stuff here?" Roxas complain, "Can't you even see we're in the middle of a dessert?" but Sora just rolled his eyes at him, trying to ignore his complains.

Just then, he noticed and recognize a small forest-like figure just far away from where they are.

"Over there!" he exclaimed in relief.

Roxas saw what he's talking about and nodded as they started their way towards the forest.

When they reached it, they could finally hear the sounds of birds singing and other animal noises.

Both of them look around first, then, went on their way.

During their search, a scratching noise suddenly came in coming from behind the bushes. Roxas flinch by the sound and turn around to face it. He stop walking to examine the unfamiliar kind of bush that just made that noise.

Once Sora realize that Roxas is not following him, he too, stop and turn around and glance up to him telling him to go, and a little annoyed by his 'slowliness.'

"What are you doing?" he asked harshly as he walked back towards him, but he didn't heard a reply, he had his eyes on the bushes right in front of him.

Sora, then cough loudly to get his attention, which made Roxas jump a little, "Huh, what?" "I said 'why did you stop?'" Sora repeated with arms cross.

"Oh, I just heard something from the bushes," he awkwardly replied.

Sora raise one eyebrow and look behind Roxas to stare at the bush he's directing at.

He turned to Roxas again and ask with confusion, "What are you talking about? I didn't hear anything." Just then, he remembered something.

"We better get moving," he demanded as he grab Roxas' arm and pull him, but he just refuse and said, "But, I have a feeling that someone's watching us--" "Just save whatever you want to say," Sora spoke out, "you're just waisting our time, everyone are waiting for our return, now."

He pulled his arm again and they continued walking.

Roxas stared back at the bush, still curious, then, go on with Sora.

Time had passed and the king, Cloud, had been waiting outside their home, waiting, waiting for the return of Sora and Roxas, especially his daughter, Kairi, waiting for hope to come.

He has his mind somewhere untill, Suddenly, a hand touch his shoulder.

He stared at the one whose the hand belongs to, Aerith.

"You're still awake," she said.

"I can't sleep," he replied back.

"You're still thinking about 'them', don't you?" she said as she look at the sky.

"To be honest, yes I do. I'm worried about their journey. They might not know where to go, since we all don't know where Kairi is," he said and did the same as to what Aerith did.

"Trust me," she began as she faces him with a grin marked on her pale face, "They'll find their way."

Cloud stared at Aerith, a little confuse of what she's talking about, but his wife just smiled as if she's thinking something else, then, she turned around and starts going inside the castle, since the temperature is getting cold.

Cloud glared at the sky quickly and whispered, "I hope so." Then, followed Aerith inside.

After passing the door to get in, they didn't even noticed Garnet hiding behind the door, who heared their comunication.

She sighed and went on her way to her room.

A couple of minutes pass after passing many unfamiliar and familiar kinds of plants, and finally, they had reached the waterfall by following the river that leads to it.

"Yes!" Sora exclaimed happily, "We finally got here!"

He started jumping and dancing for joy, after the long walk.

Roxas, just rolled his eyes at his stupidity, but still, happy because they finally got there.

Of all the trouble they've been through; the many cuts all over their bodies because of having a hard time passing many plants full of sharp thorns, and of course, tripping and falling over rocks, but they still went through it without giving up.

Suddenly Roxas remembered something very important, "Sora, stop it, remember that we still haven't found the fairy yet."

Sora stop having enjoyment after hearing what Roxas asserted.

"You're right, hehe," he said rubbing the back of his neck while laughing nervously.

"I guess we should start looking for the cave," Sora said.

"That would be a great idea," Roxas replied back, but before they start walking, a scratching noise came in again, (a louder one) Roxas heard it including Sora now.

"What was that?!" Sora exclaimed, now getting a little nervous. Just then, the noise became louder and all of the plants shaked uncontrolably around them.

Sora heard one by the tree just beside him. He look up, but in a quick flash, something jump over him which made him fall back.

"Prince, Sora!" he heard Roxas yelled, but suddenly quieted down when many other 'thing' also jump on him.

Sora tried to fight back by kicking the figure way, that's when he got his chance to stand up.

He look around him and got a better view at the 'thing' that just made him fall to the ground.

The figure is as black as darkness with zigzagged antenna hanging from its 'head,' they don't have any mouth, or neither a nose, they only have two glowing yellow eyes and has dark legs and arms. (I know what you're thinking, you're thinking about that this is the shadow heartless from the game, and you had guessed right, it IS the shadow heartless.) Their giant claws is as sharp as knives.

He saw Roxas struggling to get away from 'it,' he finally got out of their grip and was securely standing up, but insecurely surrounded by these little so-called enemies.

He found Sora and struggle to get to him.

They both reached each other and took out their weapons, Sora has two keyblades, (they are the ultra keyblades from kingdom hearts 1 and 2.) and Roxas got out the oblivion and the oathkeeper.

They had their backs touching each other while circleling around slowly.

They are now in their fighting positions, ready to take off.

"What are these?!" Sora asked, still had his back against Roxas'.

"I don't know!" he replied back.

"You ready?" Sora asked once more as he look behind him to see Roxas simply nodding.

Then Sora charge towards their enemies by attacking them on both sides and diagonally.

Another one was about to jump over Roxas again, but he simply shielded and slash his keyblade right through its head and body, not even having a problem about it.

Sora dodge every attacks, he killed them quickly, having no doubts. He dodge the up coming attack of the figure while another one was about to hit him with its sharp claws, but Sora is quicker than it, he hit it with many combos. He smiled at himself after that brave attack.

One after another, Sora and Roxas kept on attacking them while they did the same.

When the colonies was disappearing one by one, both of the boys became surprise when they saw another different kind of enemies appearing.

This one is white (Yes! it's a dusk, a kind of nobody in the game, kingdom hearts 2.) and their moves are unexaminable so it's hard to know when they are attacking.

"What?! there's more!?" Sora exclaimed questioningly.

In a quick flash, he fell unconscious on the ground.

"SORA!" Roxas yelled after he did a reverse at the enemy, which made them confuse.

He ran towards him, but suddenly got hit very hard by the 'things,' this made him fly and landed with a hard bump on the rocks.

His body then shut down by the sudden hit, he slowly close his eyes still looking at Sora who is still surrounded by 'them.'

Roxas slowly open his eyes and saw that he was in another place.

He look around and recognize that he was inside a cave.

It was dark, but the crystals buried on every wall made a dim light which is useful enough to see all around.

"You're awake," a gentle voice said.

Roxas turned to his right and saw an angel-looking girl about his age standing right next to him. She is wearing a simple white dress.

"Who are you...?" that's all Roxas could say.

Author's Note: Is this chapter kind of too short? Oh well, hope you enjoyed, suspenseful isn't it? I already know that you guys already have good guesses about this girl, so you don't have to tell me. That's it then, I promise I'll update, but I'm sure I'm not going to update that fast.
