The Days that followed Kakashi Passing his team were largely uneventful
Naruto despite his urge to complain about the D rank missions figured it was best to suck up his pride and get some D ranks on his belt
That and his Mother scolding him to suck it up for the duration of Sakura's healing in the Hospital
Eventually after 19 missions Sakura came back
And it was just in time for their next mission
"Okay team what's your status and 20 to the Target"
"Naruto reporting a visual contact with the target 4 meters from my location"
"Sasuke reporting same thing, roughly same distance from my location"
"Sakura reporting I got eyes on target along with a general idea where the rest of the squad is at 4.5 meters"
"Okay Squad we jump the target on my Mark"
"Now"
Almost instantly the Squad rushed the target
The Target in question was able to avoid there grasping hands but not Naruto's touching hand
Because Naruto managed to mark the Target's leg Just as the target had hit the arc in its Jump its motion went flat because it found his paws bound by a set of hands
"Squad Reporting a Confirmed Id on Target Tora is in our Custody" Sakura said into the com device
"Nice job Naruto" Sasuke said
"Thanks" Naruto said to Sasuke
But their success was short lived to the point of thinking Tora was subdued
Because Tora Tried to Scratch naruto's face off
Sasuke was able to help Naruto re-subdue Tora getting his Face clawed in the process
"Mission Complete Kakashi Sensei, Oh and one other thing from both Naruto and myself said" Sasuke into the Wire
"AAAAAAHHHHHH-OOW!" Sasuke & Naruto Said Screaming into the wire effectively damaging Kakashi's Ears in the Process
*Inside Naruto's head*
"I still Remember the Scratches that Insipid Feline Did to my Face" said Minato remembering the pain
"Oddly enough I was lucky" Kushina said as Her husband embraced her
"Is that Cat F****** possessed" Hashirama Said recalling earlier
"It wouldn't going too far to say so" said Madara
"Compared to what my sister Matatabi did to me when I walked in on her she was bathing in her human form What that Cat did to Naruto was nothing"
the other four glanced at their newly perverted roommate
"Trust me, it is better you don't know the details" Kurama said (with a cartoon sweat drop)
*Later at the hokage's mission desks*
As Lady Shijimi was grateful for team Kakashi for bringing Tora back
Especially happy to Have tora in her arms again
As she was squashing Tora in full view of two Sadistic smiles from Naruto and Sasuke
While Sakura was 'No wonder he ran away'
"Okay for Squad 7's next mission we've a wide array of Missions to choose from babysitting the chief councilors three year old" Hiruzen said while looking at a paper
"Chore" Minato said from within Naruto's head
"Helping out Said councilor's wife with the Shopping"
"Chores" Hashirama said with a popped vein

"You Got to be kidding this is what Peace time has Shinobi reduced to" Madara said angrily twitching inside Naruto's Head
"Lord third with all due respect, You are out of your perverted mind if you think I'm doing those excuses for a missions" Naruto said in an outburst fashion (A/N: after "with all due respect") surprising everyone
"And I am well aware of the Ninja ranking system as well as the Missions system, My Uncle pretty much told me what you're thinking about telling me now"
"I'll continue my honesty with me saying D Rank missions are jokes guised as missions, If you expect genin like us to get better We need C ranks to better ourselves because a Ninja that lacks Combat skills of any kind is less than useless, And has it ever once occurred to you or anyone on the Council that you could have academy students doing these D rank Assignments instead of shoving all them onto us genin, As per what the money would be used for it can upgrade the academies Facilities for the Better,in addition to Getting the Academy Students a lot more Serious to commit to Studies "
"You Continue to surprise me Naruto your argument is superb in the points you made" Hiruzen said clearly impressed
"Well If I plan to be Hokage in the Future I got to be in it to win, when it comes to making arguments and seeing if other arguments are any good, and don't worry since my Uncle is clan-head of Namikaze, and Sasuke's Mom is Clan-head for the Uchiha we made this argument to them and their open to the Idea"
Sakura looked on in utter shock and amazement 'This can't be the same goof ball that I went to the academy with'
"Iruka I believe they earned there right for a C rank Mission wouldn't you agree"
"I don't know Lord third" Iruka said concerned
"Let me at that C rank I'm ready for it"
"So am I" Sasuke said
"I guess I am Out voted" Said one defeated and outnumbered Sakura

"Great I ask for Shinobi and I get a bunch of…" said the Drunken man cut off by a Kunai that trimmed off a couple strands of Hair all the while It whizzed by his head
"Only Insult a shinobi if you have a Death wish" said Naruto with an intimidating presence
"That's the client Naruto" Kakashi said administering a light bop to Naruto's head
"Oh please Sensei that Kunai barely Touched him" Naruto said rubbing his head
"I am Tazuna an Ace in the art of Bridge building in my country the Land of waves, and am expecting you to get me home safe, even at the cost of your lives" said Tazuna Now sounding a little more sober
"He's laying it on a little think isn't he" said Minato with an eye twitch
"Oh he's totally hiding something" Said Kushina
*At the gate*
As Team 7 + the client were at the gate
Naruto was quite excited since thanks to their new C rank he was finally gonna see a part of the world he'd never find or see in the Village to ease the Excitement build he Fist pumps
"What are you so excited about" Sakura said
"I figured It'd be obvious since this is our first out of village mission, and I've never left the Village before now"
"I still can't believe I have to trust my life to this runt" Tazuna said in a grumbling fashion
"Don't worry about it because I'll protect you as well as Jonin in Charge of these Genin, But I wouldn't be so quick to Doubt that kids skills" Kakashi said to Tazuna while gesturing towards Naruto "nor would I doubt him" Continued Kakashi while gesturing towards Sasuke
Naruto had finally calmed down to the sensing of two enemies
"Naruto you sense that" Kushina said
"Yeah hidden mist chunin by the Feel of their Chakra despite them suppressing there chakra"
"Which Begs the Question what is said Chunin Doing here of all Places" Said hashirama
"A good question, bet you could take 'em out in a Heartbeat"
"I could Kurama but then I'd learn nothing in my doing so"
"I suppose you'll leave them be" Hashirama said
"Yep, and that's pretty much all I can do without blowing the Secret pertaining to you"
"I know your sensei said not to doubt you but I'm still a Skeptic and I won't believe for a second you becoming Hokage is possible"
"Talk is cheap Tazuna, Actions speaks volumes more than mere words ever could, Keep your skepticism In time I'll smash it apart like fine china"
"So Sensei are we gonna stand around all day or are we gonna get going"
"I was figuring of a formation to Optimize Tazuna's Protection"
"figure this I take point You And Sakura Flank Tazuna on his Four and eight o clock and Sasuke Brings up the rear"

*Mission Start*
From the moment they left the village the Mission was largely uneventful since they were Chatting about Ninja and the Countries some inhabit, and the Kage and finally for the end of their chat session they brought Hiruzen who was viewed unimpressive by Sakura, Sasuke and Naruto
But thanks to Minato telling his Son about Hiruzen's History Naruto shares the facts his dad told him with his teammate
While the others namely Kakashi and Sakura were chatting, Naruto had sensed the Chunin from earlier had gone ahead of them but was out of range for a short while
It wasn't until they crossed a bridge Naruto Noticed…
"A puddle on dry day in an area that received no rain in over a week" Naruto said mentally
"that's an ambush if I ever seen one waiting to happen" Madara said
"Here, here" Said the others agreeing
"Naruto I project since they see you, Sasuke and Sakura as easy pickings they'll go after Kakashi first,"
"I figured as much until they make their move we play this skirmish by ear"
Naruto's thoughts were interrupted by Kakashi
He quickly turned his gaze to see him wrapped in a chain He darts to the sight of the two Mist Chunin pulling the Chain
As they get loose Naruto catches a tiny glimpse of Substitution logs where Kakashi Stood
He returned his gaze to the Sight of Sasuke using a shuriken and kunai to pin the Chunin's Chain to a nearby tree
"Sasuke, round house double or nothing, take left"
"got it" He said as he sped over to the Chunin on the left
As Naruto appeared on the right both He and Sasuke administered a good round house kick to the Cheeks (A/N: As In Face) of the trapped Shinobi
The Force from the kick freed The Shinobi from the Chain that Connected them
And we're gunning for Tazuna Sakura got in front of them and stood ready
Naruto and Sasuke flashed in front of them
Then as though by a flash Kakashi who was thought to be Dead Had Captured the Attacking Shinobi in headlocks
"That's my Student who did that" said a proud Minato from inside Naruto's Head
'seems as though I'm Safe after all' Tazuna thought while sighing in Relief
"Wait hold on a second How are you still alive" Sakura said relieved that she's not Sensei-less but partially Confused
"Replacement Jutsu Sakura" Naruto Said to her pointing to the substitution Logs Kakashi had used
"DUH" Sasuke said to a wincing Sakura
"Sakura you did good for your first ambush, you stepped in between the enemy and Our client knowing full well you couldn't do much about it, and that's one step down your Shinobi path
"Naruto Sasuke That was yet another awesome display of team work I seen you two do" Kakashi said to Naruto and Sasuke before turning to his captives "Now we're going to have a chat"
*An Interrogating minute later(translates to 6 minutes of Kakashi interrogating them with no luck (or Sharingan) to 1 minute of Naruto style Sharingan interrogation, and 3 minutes of Conversation)*
These are Chunin from the Hidden Mist Village, I only know them through there Moniker the Demon Brothers, and there Specialty of Relentless attack, They fight on regardless of the sacrifice
"Our ambush how'd you know"
"A Puddle gave you away, during a day where it hadn't rained in over a week"
"Then why leave it for the Genin to Fight"
"I could have taken them out Quick but I'd learn nothing by Doing so"
"Same as me when I sensed them at back at the Village gate" Naruto said
He gazed at four shocked faces, and what was more priceless was the Look on the demon brothers faces as well as Tazuna
"Strong Sensory skills, I'll tell ya later" Naruto said silently
"Tazuna when you put your request in the task was the standardized protection, against Thugs and Highwayman during transit, and while you finished building your bridge, you failed to mention any Ninja that were hunting you down, We'd Staff differently and it'd be a Mid B rank or higher"
"We understand that you had your reasons for lying, But it is unacceptable all the same We're beyond the Scope of the Mission, now we will proceed with the mission until we get you home You've until then to explain yourself, and if I am unconvinced of your reason, Our mission ends when we drop you off at the Land of waves"
*Cut to the hidden Leaf*
Team 8 was ending another day of D Ranks and we're on their way home
Hinata was entering her house when Neji on his way out from duties to the clan
"Lord Hiashi Needs to speak to you in his Office, He seemed rather pleased about something" Neji said who was clearly not happy to see her
Hinata made her way to her Father's Office and knocked on the door when she heard
"Come in"
She enters to see not only her Father Sitting at his Desk But Maikeru Naruto's Uncle sitting in another Chair
"Have a Seat Hinata"
Hinata complied
"It has come to my attention that a boy has eyes for you, and from what I've heard You got eyes for him to, And it's this Boy" Hiashi said as he toss' a picture of Naruto to Hinata
As Hinata gazed at the Picture she caught Hiashi Spoke again
"Now Normally I wouldn't want to hear of you being with This Boy, But It wasn't Until Maikeru here Showed me something" Hinata sees him Gesture to Maikeru who hands hinata another Picture
It was of the Fourth Hokage
"Now Hinata Look at that Picture then at Naruto's Picture, and lastly Look at both side by side"
As Hinata did as she was instructed By the time she looked at Naruto's Pictures she had a wait a minute Look on her face
She in a flash Gazed at both pictures in her hand side by side, and to say she was Shocked was an Understatement
"the fourth hokage's son"
"I'm crushing on the Fourth Hokage's Son"
As she was processing her thoughts She fainted with a great blush on her Face while Maikeru and hiashi chuckle at her antics
*Cut again to another Location*
"Failed what do you mean Failed, I payed big buck for you hotshot Assassins and this is what you give me"
"Quiet your whinning" said a man sitting on the couch swinging a sword about as long as he was in one handed shinken* grip
"This time I shall go Personally and this blade your staring down will be the last thing they see"
"Tazuna has a High Level Shinobi Guarding him it'll take someone of advanced skills to deal with him"
"Who do you think you're Dealing with I'm not call Zabuza Momochi Demon of the Hidden mist for nothing" Zabuza Responded
*Back with Team 7*
They were in a boat enroute to the land of waves
Tazuna was going to tell the truth behind his deception
After they spotted his bridge he was working on
"the reason for my deception was born from a short man who casts a long nasty shadow"
"A long shadow" Kakashi said curiously
"Yes I believe you know him or at least of him his name is Gato"
"As in Gato transport Co., who wouldn't know about one of the Wealthiest men in the world"
"I hear that" Said Minato from within Naruto's head
"Gato's a powerful Tycoon from a famed business true enough, but beneath all that are ruthless methods of taking over Countries, nations and Governments through the selling of Drugs and Contraband, this began approximately a year ago, when he set his sights on my home the Land of waves, in less than a month his vast wealth seized control of our countries logistics coming and going from the country, anybody who was stupid enough to stand in his way simply disappeared"
the Tiniest gulp from sakura could be heard "Who could blame her" said Kushina from inside her Naruto's Head
In an island nation like the Land of waves if you've full control of the seas you've effectively captured the whole of the land of waves Finance, government, the Peoples lives, the whole 9 yards,
"now things are making sense, you're the only one standing in his way, meaning if your gone the bridge goes to"
"I get it he's Dangerous you still didn't answer the question of 'why did you hide that from us'"
"Because the Land of waves was a prosperous nation, now it is impoverish, even our nobles have little money"
Naruto Saw a look in Tazuna eye which anticipated a guilt trip
"Save the guilt Trip old man, Because I say we continue the Mission, Because while the mission took a turn for the worst, Our Feudal lord would jump at the chance to able to trade with the land of waves so he'd gladly give you a long enough extension to pay us for the mission, and even though it is remotely unlikely Gato will show himself we can easily take the satisfaction of breaking his siege" Naruto said
"I agree with Naruto, and plus come mission's end we can go home with some official combat experience" Sasuke said
"I'm agreeing because I would be damned if I turned a blind eye to the land of waves" Sakura Said
"Plus you being outnumbered by present Genin company" Naruto and Sasuke said in unison as a Sakura pouts
Kakashi simply glanced at his squad
"Well I guess my Squad speaks for me as well"
It was a short while after this they made land fall in the land of waves
And they were enroute on foot to Tazuna's Residence when the feeling of being watched was being felt by 4 of the 5 present company
"this feeling," Naruto said scanning the environment with his Sharingan while on point when he saw a chakra Signature in some near by bushes
Quick as a flash he deactivated his Sharingan pulls out a shuriken and throws it at the bush quick as a flash
Within seconds of Naruto Deploying the Shuriken he heard a thunk in the tree he went to see if he hit that Chakra signature he saw only to find a snow shoe hare out of season with the Summer
(A/N: for those who don't know (those who do skip this) Snow shoe hares are white during winter, brown during the Summer)
"Scared a substitution"
"Naruto you idiot, you scared us half to death" Sakura
"Sakura you're the idiot here, take a look at what that is, take a look at the season, and then take a look at what's out place here" Sasuke said with some spite at Sakura's Behavior and lack of Shinobi skill of looking past deception
Sakura did as instructed
"I see the Problem"
Meanwhile from a tree
"Now I understand the Demon Brother's failure in there mission, That's the Copy ninja from the hidden Leaf, Kakashi of the Sharingan eye" Zabuza though at he grab his sword on his back
"Everybody hit the Deck" Kakashi said
As a spinning sword has hurled towards them everyone was able to evade the blade without injury
"That's Got to be" Kakashi Thought to himself as he gazed at a Zabuza standing on the handle of the sword now embedded in the tree
"Naruto That's Zabuza Momochi on that sword a rouge ninja from the hidden mist village" Said Minato mentally inside Naruto's Head
"Sensei isn't that Zabuza Momochi rouge ninja from the hidden mist"
"Naruto how do you know him"
"From a bingo book that was tossed into a trash can"
"Good Cover" Minato said complimenting him
"Sasuke stack up" Sasuke latched onto Naruto as he used the Shadow clone jutsu
They ordered the Clones to do a manji formation with Sakura
"Sensei me and Sasuke are on your flanks"
"good I may need it" Kakashi said as he uncovers his Sharingan eye
The three stand ready before Zabuza
(A/N: and with that I'll Call it a chapter(and to those who were hopping for the team 7 vs Zabuza fight round to be in this chapter sorry to disappoint you I'll be up in the next chapter, along with the end of the land of waves arc)
