It's been a while but here's a new chapter of Rayman and the Half Genie hero.

When Shantae and Rayman arrive back at the entrance of the crystal labyrinth, the water nymph was waiting for them the whole time. Shantae asks her curiously, "Why are you waiting here for?"

The water nymph smiles nicely and replies, "Well... I see that you found my lost scepter and made sure that evil pirate didn't get it." Rayman nods, "Yep! So... do you want it back?" She shakes her head and waves her hands in front of Rayman, "No! She'll try to get it back so you hold onto that until she's thoroughly taken care of. "

Both Rayman and Shantae nods and the water nymph takes her leave. Shantae puts her hands on her hips and then sighs, "Well! Where to next?" Rayman's eyes widens a bit and then he ponders about Shantae's question and shrugs, "I got nothing. I'm not used to your world so I would have no idea where to go."

Shantae sighs sadly at her limbless friend's responce, "I guess we could talk to Sky and hope she could give us a clue." Rayman replies curiously, "Sky? Another friend of yours?"

Shantae nods, "She's practically my BFF, and like an older sister to me." Rayman nods back in understandance, "I see. But we could visit her later if she's located out of the way." Shantae looks down sadly, "She is." Rayman points at a direction, "I got a good feeling about this way!"

Shantae gasps, "That's located towards the graveyards. There's all sorts of zombies and ghosts there!" Rayman is still confident on his choice and snaps his fingers, "No worries! I've dealt with the supernatural on occasions!" Shantae nods unsurely, "Ok... if that's what you believe is the correct way. I trust your decisions."

They walk towards east of Water town and head straight for the scariest of places. Graveyards and whole sorts of spooky things. They decided walking was the best solution so they don't miss out anything because there's a lot of trees nearby to block their view.

They eventually arrive to where the zombies lurk. Rayman prepares himself, "We got these guys!" Shantae nods confidently and readies herself, "I'm Ret-2-Go!" Rayman looks at her strangely, "Ret-2-Go?" Shantae didn't provide an explanation for that phrase she used, instead... zombies walk towards them in a snail's pace.

Shantae jumps in and hair whips them as they shriek in pain and their heads fly off in random directions. Rayman gets over his confusion and gets ready to bust some zombie heads himself. Throwing fists left and right he takes care of the zombie problem without effort.

To Rayman, this was part two of his Rabbid massacre but with zombies instead, it was still the same amount of fun for him. Shantae, however... sees this in a more serious way, if they pile on them then they will get a chance to munch on their brains so she must drive off away from them as much as possible.

Rayman jumps up happily with a "Woohoo!" as he continues to punch and kick the zombies into submission. Shantae sighs and says to herself, "This isn't going as planned. If they keep this up then we'll never get there. Time for some magic." She says outloud to Rayman, "Alright! Keep them at bay while I try for a transformation!"

Rayman nods, "I got this! More for me!" Rayman circles around Shantae and does a fist spin maneuver at the zombies whenever they get close to her. She prepares to bellydance and gets ready for an animal form. With belly twists and some hip shaking, she becomes an elephant once more. She trumpets her trunk and says to Rayman, "Get on! I'll charge us through this spooky forest!"

Rayman jumps up on Elephant Shantae's back and holds on tight to her head, "I'm good to go!" With that Elephant Shantae bursts through the forest in blinding speed, very fast for an elephant she's no ordinary one. Zombies gets steamrolled over and they are no match for the power of the elephant charge!

They arrive at an entrance that's too small for the elephant so Shantae makes a sudden halt and it causes Rayman to fly off and slam into a wall. Shantae returns to normal and makes a worried gasp at the sight of Rayman's splattered body on the wall. "Rayman! I'm so sorry! Are you ok?!"

Rayman groans a bit and slides off the wall and he's still dazed. Out of nowhere, some zombie hands got a hold of Rayman's lower body and they started to pull Rayman into the ground. Shantae shouts out, "Rayman! I'll save you!" She rushes to Rayman's aid to get him away from the ground zombies, she tries stomping on their hands, "Get your filthy hands off of Rayman!"

She pulls as hard as she could but they got Rayman's body completely buried but Shantae won't ever quit! She grabs Rayman's hands and pulls as hard as she could and tries to free the thing-a-ma-jig.

These were strong and resilient zombies they were dealing with here. Rayman tries to keep a calm mind about this, he lets go of Shantae's hands and tries to pull himself off out of the ground by pushing against it.

With a little bit of the body shown again, Shantae tries again to pull him out. With a lot of effort from the both of them, Rayman pops out of the ground at last!" Shantae wipes her forehead, "Phew! That was close! Thank goodness they didn't- Eeek!" A certain surprise caught Shantae's eyes and she reveals it to him, "Your feet! They're gone!"

Rayman looks and sighs disappointedly, "Not again!" Shantae gives him a shocked expression, "Again?! You mean this happened before?" Rayman nods, "Looks like I got to find the zombies who took my feet but as I am right now I cannot do that."

Shantae gives him a suggestion, "C-could you just become water? You don't have any feet when you transform into that." Rayman shakes his head, "I gotta be standing." Shantae nods understandably, "I guess I'll carry you until we find your feet again." With that, Shantae picks up her limbless friend off of the ground and carry him bridestyle, she sighs desperately, "I can't believe I'm resorted to this again, but I least I know it's for real."

They enter the entry way and notices a bunch of obstacles at their way, Shantae knew it looked familiar but didn't say anything. Shantae notices some gaps spread out that looked to far to jump normally so she asks her handicapped buddy, "Do you think you could use your helicopter hair when I need it?"

Rayman nods with a smile, "Of course! This is my fault that I have you do this." Shantae frowns a bit by this, "It's not your fault. It's mine! I should have slowed down first. Anyway... we'll get through this and find our next destination. Perhaps another nymph, they are certainly providing to be useful on our adventure."

With that, Shantae shoves off in the gauntlet of danger. Spikes, pits, more zombies... the whole kazoo is here! Shantae doesn't know if she could attack them while carrying Rayman so she says to him, "Eh... I have to like, bend forward for me to attack with my hair... are you ok with this?" Rayman nods, "Do what you have to do to get through this."

Shantae nods, "You got it! And if I need you to helicopter me, I'll hold you up. How's that?" Rayman gives her a thumbs up, "No problem." Shantae continues onwards and attack whatever she sees with her hair, Rayman just chills with her and only helps by giving her his helicopter ability at any time she needs it. Which was very often, by the way.

After twenty minutes parading in that mess, they finally reach a spooky and suspicious tree, Shantae points to it, "Perhaps this is where the next labyrinth is located. By the way, how do you feel, Rayman?"

Rayman looks to the side of Shantae and sees some zombies walking off with something in their hands, "Zombies! And they got something! Maybe it's my feet!"

Shantae looks at the direction of Rayman, "Hey... I know these guys! Hold up!" The two zombies heard Shantae's call and turned around, "Hey... it's genie girl! How's it going?" Shantae points to Rayman's feet they got in their hands, "Those! Hand it over! They belong to my friend here."

Rayman just nods. The zombies seems upset to part with them, "But they are funny! They can dance on their own, watch!" They placed them on the ground and the feet started moonwalking. Shantae just stares and soaks in all the weirdness of them moving on their own. "Ok..."

A zombie girl walks in between the two zombie guys and she seems really happy to see Shantae, "Hey there, genie gal! Whatcha got there, lunch?" Rayman sweatdrops as she might refer to him. Shantae just replies casually, "No... this is my friend, Rayman. We've come to find our next destination and his feet. Now we kindly ask for them back."

The zombie girl smiles and says, "Sure! For a bite of your delicious genie brain!" Shantae's expression turns into annoyance, "Not gonna happen, Rottytops." Rayman tilts his head, "Rottytops?" Rotty nods, "That's my name, all right! These are my brothers, Poe and Abner." Abner crosses his arms, "You got that right, pally!"

Poe then suggested, "Why not we trade? Your feet for your brains?" Rayman's eyes widens, "My brain?! I use that!" Rotty just giggles, "Well... any friend of Shantae's is a friend of mine! But don't you think you'll get off so easily. I might want something that you could give us in exchange for your feet."

Rayman gives her a look and says, "Does it involve brains?" Rotty just laughs, "I know that we're zombies but we do like other things other than brains... even though we really really like brains. Okay! There's this really scary thing in this tree that you see here and he's guarding something we really want. If you can get that then we'll give you your feet and you can keep your brains... for now."

Rayman frowns, "You got it but... I sorta need my feet to properly explore in there." The brothers nods and hand him his feet. The feet walk towards Rayman and jump back where they once belonged. Shantae puts Rayman down and he clicks his heels happily, "Yahoo! Back in one piece once again!"

Rottytops breaks the reuniting, "Don't you forget our deal now! If you don't follow through then we'll take more than your feet!" Rayman gets a bit nervous, "R-right." Shantae tries to comfort Rayman, "Don't worry. She kids alot. Even though it sometimes sounds like she means it."

Rayman suddenly asks them, "By the way! Is there a nymph near here by any chance?" The zombie gang look at him with a confused look, "Nymph? Can't say for certain that we've seen one. We'll keep an eye out. By the way, you didn't have to stomp on our hands. We may be undead but we still feel pain."

With clear evidence from the shrieking zombies, that was true. Shantae crosses her arms, "How was I supposed to know that it was you two? You shouldn't ambush us like that." Half ignoring that comment, Abner says, "I'll let it slide this one time since you are getting us that 'special' thing we want."

Shantae puts her hands behind her neck and replies, "I guess so. Is that tree closed or do we have to find a special key to get in?" Rotty joins in and tells Rayman and Shantae, "No key required. Just a certain phrase you need to know to get in." Shantae sighs impatiently, A password? Great... where do we need to go to get it?"

Abner and Poe points at the gravestones, "If you break these tombstones, there might be a passageway that leads you to where the password is located. All we can do now is say good luck to you." With that... Rottytops and her brothers goes off as Shantae and Rayman are left to break the gravestones.

Shantae takes a deep breath and exhales to relax her nerves. She turns to Rayman and asks him calmly, "Are you ready for some gravedigging?" Rayman nods being as calm as Shantae, "I'm ready if you are!" He swings a fist at one of the gravestones he picked out to destroy first and launches it with high-speed!

It completely shatters the fragile tombstone... but it was the wrong one. Rayman doesn't lose hope and continues shattering them until he finds the right one. Shantae kicks her desired section of headstones as Rayman punches his. After about ten tombstones destroyed, the two picked out the exact tombstone and cooperatively shattered it to pieces. A hole was discovered from where it used to lie.

Rayman and Shantae cheers as they discovered it. Rayman looks around and comments, "I hope the undead won't mind a few shattered homes of theirs. Shantae looks as well and laughs sheepishly, "Whoopsies!" Rayman takes a look inside the hole and it looks too far down to see as it was pitch black down there.

Rayman looks at his partner and says, "The safest thing to do is for me to hover us down there. I'll carry you this time and we'll hover down nicely."

Shantae nods and replies nervously, "Just be careful to not drop me. I don't know how safe it is with you not having arms." Rayman smiles and nods, "You'll be ok. You trust me completely, right?"

Shantae reassured herself and smiles back, "Yes. I do." With that, Rayman carries Shantae in a similar fashion to when Shantae carried him. He hops down the dark abyss of a hole and activates his hairy propeller mechanism on the top of his head.

Will this turn alright for the two heroes or will there be some spooky things waiting for them on the bottom? You gotta see it for yourself next time!
