an actual a/n; in this story Kamui refers to female corrin, while Corrin refers to male corrin. Writing "(Insert Gender) Corrin" one thousand times tired me out. enjoy.

"You've been staring for quite some time."

Kamui jumps at these words. She was sitting alone while eating, admiring her love from a good distance away, until her ears heard a voice directed at her. She turns her head hilariously fast to find that the voice belonged to her male counterpart, Corrin. On his face was probably the smuggest smirk she's ever seen him pull off.

"Hmh, Wha.. What do you mean?" She feigns obliviousness while averting her eyes, but Corrin sees right through it.

"You're really focused on something," He points out, "Or should I say, you're focused on someone."

Kamui doesn't respond to this, but Corrin is positive that he is right. He looks in the direction that Kamui had been previously looking in, seeing Roy and Lucina having a friendly conversation.

"Roy doesn't seem your type… Too childish," He chuckles,"Is it Lucina?"

More silence, but her pouty blushed face answered the question for him.

"So, what is it about Lucina that has stolen my twin's heart? Is it.." Corrin starts eyeing Kamui's love interest.

"Ugh, no.. Please stop.." Kamui grumbles, putting her hands on her face in exasperation.

"...The way she wields her sword, with such grace?" Corrin guesses, while pointing at the Parallel Falchion, "I'll admit, it's admirable the way she handles herself, so I wouldn't blame you."

"...It's.. Nice? I guess?" Kamui just wanted him to go away.

"Why don't you tell her how you feel?" Corrin suggests.

Kamui's mouth twitches, with her face showing a faint sign of despair.

"It's none of your business," She wishes she didn't say it so angrily, but Corrin must have understand where she was coming from, as it didn't phase him.

"It's because you think she likes Roy, don't you?"

There was a brief moment of silence, before Kamui finally replied.

"I don't think she likes Roy, I know she does. It's the way she acts around him that makes it obvious. Fingers twitching, smiles she never shows to anyone else, and the way her hand rubs her neck accompanied by an awkward laugh… The fact Roy hasn't caught on is what angers me," Kamui let's our a sigh, wondering why she was releasing all this to him, "It hurts me sometimes… but I want her to be happy, I wouldn't truly love her if I at least didn't want that much for Lucina. I don't care if she never returns my feelings," Kamui stands up, ready to leave Corrin and this conversation behind.

"You should tell her." Corrin says it so easily, it almost pisses Kamui off.

With a frustrated growl, she replies "You know it's not that easy."

"True. Think about it like this: When you tear off a fingernail, it's better to do it quickly. If you try to be considerate by tearing it off slowly and gently, it will only hurt much more. The easiest path is to not let unnecessary pain linger."

Kamui stares at Corrin for a bit, with an emotion in the pit of her stomach she wouldn't like to analyse... The comparison was wierd coming from him, but she had to agree.

"Maybe... Maybe you're right." This is all she says before officially turning away and leaving the area.

She hated how much Corrin was able to read her, but shouldn't be too surprised, as he was her in everything but gender. She agreed with Corrin's statement, but she wouldn't say anything to Lucina for awhile about her feelings.

Maybe never.
