I followed the Impala closely, We had been driving awhile now and i could hear Deans music, which made me smile. I picked up my mobile and dialled Sam's number
"hey Sam, there's a diner we can stop for lunch at, just up the road" i said to him
"oh ok...I was thinking we should stop there, see you in a bit"
he hung up the phone and i continued to drive, the little diner in the distance was getting closer.
I pulled up alongside the boys,
"hey Dean, look who it is" i heard Sam say as he got out the car
I thought I heard Dean moan sightly, then the women Sam was talking about looked at us and smiled
we walked into the diner
"Sam, Dean, boys how are you?"
we got closer to her table
"Missouri, We haven't seen you in years, How are you" Sam seemed excited to see her
"I'm good, Dean, introduce me to the lovely girl standing behind you and let her sit down"
Dean signed, she seemed to press a few buttons, I liked her already
"Missouri this is Jenna" he introduced and moved aside as i took a seat opposite her, he sat next to me and Sam grabbed the space beside Missouri
"your Wendy's daughter?" she asked
"yes" i answered "did you..."
"yes dear, i knew her... she was a very kind and beautiful women... you seemed to of taken after her" she was very soft as she spoke
"Missouri, what are you doing all the way out here?" asked Sam
"well, I've watched your house for years, i thought it was time i traveled a bit, i knew you would come here" she saw my expression
"yes dear, you've heard about me from your mother" she reached for my hand,
"you really are the spitting image of her"
"I've heard that a lot" i smiled, she was right, i had the same dark brunette hair that she had, the same bright brown eyes, even the same nose.
"boys will you get us both a drink, I'll have a coffee"
Sam stood up, and Dean looked at me, he was sitting so close, but i didn't want him to move away
"what would you like?" his eyes gazed into mine again
"I'll just have a coke thanks" he stayed and looked into my eyes a little longer, then stood up and left me with Missouri
"so dear, you've been very busy, keeping yourself even more busy since your mothers death, am i right," she smiled softly
i nodded and looked down at my hands
"you shouldn't blame yourself, you were where you were meant to be, if you were with you mother, many people would of died, you did what you had to and so did she, she trained you well"
i looked into her eyes, so expressive, so kind, so deep
"he's good for you" she then remarked
confusion flashed on my face
"the boy..." she looked at Dean
"I'm not exactly a big fan of his ways, i know them....but you, you connect with each other on such a deep level, you have nothing to worry about"
i looked at Dean and he turned around to lean on the counter, he saw us and smiled at me, then turned to speak to Sam
"you know how you feel. and you shouldn't suppress those feelings"
i turned to her again
"are you sure?" i asked
"Jenna, you don't doubt me, you don't even doubt him, you doubt yourself....there is so much more to life then saving others, you have to save yourself...and you have so much to give"
with that she stood up
"can you make that coffee to go" she called to Sam, he nodded and turned to the waitress
"I'll see you again Jenna" she left me sitting alone at the table and walked over to Dean and Sam
Dean joined me seconds later, and sat beside me again,
"what was she on about then, she seemed to of left quite quickly"
he passed me my coke and stuck a straw in it, i looked at him and smiled at his silly gesture
"she was just giving me some advice" i rested my head on his shoulder
"she's very insightful"
Sam came and joined us a few minutes later, he looked at me
"heard what you needed to then" he asked
i smiled at him
"i did, thanks" i brought my head up again and sipped through the straw.
"I think we should get some food down us, we still have a couple of hours in the cars ahead of us"
I pulled a menu from the end of the table and opened it so Dean and i could glance over it
I took another sip of coke and put my napkin down on my now empty plate, Sam leaned back and looked across the table to Dean
"be back in a bit" dean said standing up, he walked to the counter
"so Missouri's very interesting don't you think" same commented
"sure is....I remember my mum telling me a little about her when i was young"
"so i suppose you knew she would be here" i asked him
"had a feeling yer" he replied
"and you knew she would answer the questions i had running through my head"
"well i guessed she would, yer"
"you cheeky git" i laughed
Just then Dean came over with a plate of pie, he placed it on the table and sat down again, he looked over at me and smiled, had held a fork in his hand but with a slight movement of the thumb another appeared from behind it
"want some pie" he asked, his grin looked mischievous.
"would love some, I love Pie" I said taking the spare fork, he moved the plate closer to me and we shared the piece of pie.
"my Kinda Girl" he smirked
I looked at Sam who started to silently laugh, i kicked his leg gently under the table and he smiled at me.
We stood outside by the cars
"we should get there around 2.30- 3 O'clock" I said as i began to climb into my Dodge.
"great" Dean remarked and flashed me his cheeky grin.
Sam climbed into the Impala
"when we get closer to town, I'll overtake you and lead you to my place" Dean winked and nodded then climbed in and started the engine.
We drove on to our next stop, as we drew closer to the town i put my foot down and overtook the impala, leading them on through the streets, past my old haunts, i smiled to be back home, i just wished it was for better reasons, I looked as the houses i past brought back memories from my childhood and how much my parents tried to balance it out, getting to have a fairly normal life.
I pulled up outside a familiar building, the place hadn't changed much, my flat, which had been converted from an old house, it still looked the same, Dean pulled up beside me, and we all got out of our rides, I grabbed my bags from the dodge
"Nice place" Dean remarked, grabbing his things from the trunk
"come on, lets go in" i walked to the building and opened the first door, climbed the narrow staircase and opened my front door
"home sweet home" i said walking in, followed closely by Dean and Sam
"wow, this pace is huge" said Sam
the benefits of it once being a house
"there's two rooms through there" i said pointing to the hall way
"and the sofa folds out" i also remarked
"and it looks as if my sister's been here in the last week, she comes to check on the place, come on, you can put your stuff in the spare room" i waked down the narrow corridor and showed them the rest of the flat
