Sorry for the really late update. Summer kinda made me feel like a bum. This chapter is mostly filler, along with setting up next chapter which is mostly filler too. Not sure when I'll finish it, but when I do you'll know cause it'll be up in a heartbeat.

I do not own Naruto. If I did, well I wouldn't be me.

Naruto sat up in bed, and looked around. The light blue walls, and pristine windows were a far cry from his usual ripped wallpaper, and cracked glass. The desk in the corner was empty except for a single scroll left open. Other than the bed, and that desk the room was empty. He smiled at the sight of his new room, and quickly got dressed in a pair of black ninja pants, an orange t-shirt, and his sandals.

He was slipping on a belt when looked over to his alarm clock, and realized he didn't have one in this room.

"Oh man, Don't be late." He cried as he hurried out the room, and grabbed the single scroll from his desk. "Oh man, why today... I just got a new house, and forgot to grab my damn clock."

"I'm here!" Naruto screamed as he reached the training grounds he was supposed to meet his team at, and fell to his knees. Sakura, and Sasuke were leaning against trees looking at the blond. Sakura sighed as she saw her teammate reach the field, while Sasuke chuckled at his antics. Even if Naruto was stronger than he had thought, which he realized might be a good thing since the blond wouldn't hold him back, Sasuke was glad that the blond wasn't a totally different person. Sasuke had been his friend when he was little, so it was hard to say he hated Naruto.

"I was wondering if you were ever going to get here." Naruto heard a voice say. It couldn't be, if it was who he thought it was then he was so late it wasn't funny. He turned and saw the person who spoke standing behind him.

"Oh man, Kakashi-sensei why are you here already." Naruto grumbled. Kakashi hit the young ninja on the head as he laughed. Naruto held his head, and grumbled out a string of words.

"I've been here for an hour already helping the other two learn." Kakashi explained. "You're the one who's late. I've even started them on learning the formations using a clone in your place."

"You were two hours late yourself sensei." Sasuke said. Kakashi hung his head in shame for a few seconds, before popping back up.

"A ninja is never late, nor is he early. He arrives exactly when he means to." He said confidently as he walked away from the children. Naruto stopped his grumbling as he took in what Kakashi had said.

"Then neither am I." Naruto said thinking he had found the loophole to this.

Kakashi looked at him. "No. You are still too young to use that. You have no real experience, so I can't say you could get away with it like me."

"Well, now let's get back to formations since our third member is here. Defense formation a. Naruto for this you're to the back, and right of Sasuke." Kakashi commanded. Naruto jumped into position, as his teammates did the same. Kakashi had been drilling formations into them for an hour and a half, and they had gotten a few down without Naruto using a kakashi clone as a substitute.

"Formation B, Naruto up front." Kakashi called out as they rearranged themselves quickly.

"Formation c, Naruto to the left."

Kakashi called out formation after formation along with positions for each of them for nearly four hours, when he finally thought he had them drilled into them enough for one day. The three genin sat around Kakashi who crossed his arms.

"We'll go over formations again next time, so I'm just gonna check on a few things." Kakashi began. "Sakura. You have no extra jutsu past the academy ones, small reserves, and excellent control. A genjutsu, or medic type in all seriousness if trained right. Your intelligence is one of your strong suits, so I'll see if I can work something out about your training to take those factors into account." He turned to Naruto.

"Naruto. You have a few extra jutsu, large reserves, and poor control that you'll admit to." Naruto hung his head as Kakashi talked about him. "But your ninjutsu skills are above average with your Jutsu at chunin level just from the ones you know. Not quite Chunin right now with taijutsu, but using your jutsu to augment your style I can see you giving a lot of chunin a run for their money if you were to spar using them. You've also been able to avoid Anbu who were sent to get you for your pranks."

"Better believe it. I'm just that awesome." Naruto said picking his head back up. He thought about jumping up, or doing a nice guy pose but realized that would ruin the moment.

"Okay kid. Sasuke you have a few basic fire release techniques, above average reserves, decent control for a fresh genin, and your taijutsu and ninjutsu talents are above average both just under the expected chunin level. Experience with minor genjutsu, and if notes are right some kenjutsu."

"Of course" Sasuke said with a smirk.

"He's much better than Naruto." Sakura exclaimed. Sasuke grunted, but Sakura took it as a chance to try to scoot closer to him. "I mean Sasuke is so much smarter."

"Normally I would agree with you, but Naruto isn't the idiot from the academy. You, and I both saw that during the teamwork exam." Sasuke said pushing away. He turned to Kakashi "Sensei, can I borrow Naruto for a few minutes?"

"Sure, but no fighting now." Kakashi said with a smile, although the children couldn't tell, allowing them to go off. Sasuke motioned for Naruto to follow him into the treeline away from their female teammate, and sensei. "Now Sakura. What do you know about the human body?"

"Okay Sasuke, what's this all about? You couldn't stand me in the academy." Naruto asked as they reached the treeline.

"Didn't you say that you yourself were hiding stuff? So was I sorta. You, and I both remember the lake when I was learning to use Fire techniques. We used to be friends." Sasuke answered. Naruto nodded, as he reminisced meeting about him on the lake side. He, and Sasuke had been good friends for a while before the Uchiha massacre, but when Sasuke returned after taking time off from the academy he acted so cold to his old friend that the two had grown distant since then.

"Okay I get you, so what do you want me to do?" Naruto said. Sasuke asking Naruto for something was admitting that he actually needed help, which Naruto felt he couldn't say no to. They also knew some embarrassing secrets about each other from their youths, so if he didn't Sasuke might be willing to blackmail him.

"Me, and you are the two good members on our team. Kakashi admits it, and I hate to admit that you've got some skill, but you do."Sasuke said. "Then there is Sakura. Get my point?"

"Yeah. You want my help getting Sakura to realize that to date you, she needs to shape up." Naruto said.

"Exactly, " Sasuke began, but then Naruto's words registered. "Not what I meant you idiot. You know I don't like her."

"Still have a think for Sachiko?" Naruto grinned poking at Sasuke's old crush from their childhood days. Sachiko was one of the civilian children that Sasuke has played with before the massacre. She didn't join the academy for whatever reason, but there was the civilian school across town so Naruto assumed that she went to school there.

"I won't honor that with a response" Sasuke said turning around to hide his embarrassment.

"Seriously man? Everything makes so much sense now." Naruto laughed, and started to walk back to their sensei. Sasuke followed grumbling about stupid blondes, and hoping that his secret wouldn't spread. "I've got a plan." Naruto called back to Sasuke.

"Hey Sakura want to spar?" Naruto said interrupting Kakashi's discussion with Sakura. Their sensei looked at Naruto, then stood up from where he sat. The scrolls that had been in front of him laid open where Naruto could see that it was medical stuff. Tips on how to stop bleeding, and mostly first aid as a beginning to medical training.

"Perfect timing I wanted to see where Sakura was since I didn't see much of her physical assets in the test. Let's get started then." Kakashi said stepping back. Sakura glanced over at him a bit scared, but got into the academy pose while Naruto just stood there.

"Go!" Kakashi said signalling the beginning of the fight. Naruto jumped back as Sakura tried punching him like she had at the academy. Sakura lost her balance, and fell to the ground. She steadied herself, and stood up waiting for Naruto to make his move.

"Shadow clone jutsu" Naruto said clearly as he made the handsigns. Two Narutos popped up beside him and charged at the pinkette. Each one exploded into smoke as they reached Sakura blinding her briefly along with everyone else in the vicinity.

She looked around at the field, but to her dismay there was nothing around her except for rocks. She began walking around using her foot to check for any changes, but as she walked around the area she found that Naruto was nowhere to be found.

"Transformations are only an illusion right? so he couldn't have used one to hide as a rock without me noticing with my feet. All the ones I stepped on felt normal." Sakura reasoned out loud.

Kakashi looked at her with a twisted head "Yeah, though Solid Transformations are possible in theory, they'd take loads of chakra to maintain longer than a few seconds. It's also never been proven possible in action." one of the rocks at Sakura's feet poofed with smoke revealing Naruto sitting cross-legged with a grin.

"Oh yeah. I've developed another technique that's amazing without realizing it." Naruto bragged. "I wondered why people couldn't find me with the byakugan or with sensor techniques when I used transformations. Guess it's cause I almost became what I hid as."

"Naruto you've just added twelve pages of paperwork for me to do, Learning of this will make the Anbu shake in fear. How can a twelve year old boy like you even exist? Oh well, all of you are dismissed so I can start doing business." Kakashi said bringing out his orange book. He shunshin'ed away before anyone could say a word to him.

"So how about you guys come over to my place it's awesome." Naruto offered. He could see both of them look strangely at him, and then remembered neither of them knew of his heritage yet.

"Oh. I obtained a house on River street." He said to clarify. "It was my parent's house before they passed."

"So you know who they are now?" Sasuke asked intrigued. Naruto had always said he didn't know who his parents were. Sakura was a bit shocked by this information herself. She ran a mental check on vacant houses on river street that she knew of, since that was the street she lived on. The only house that didn't have someone in it was the Namikaze residence.

"Naruto. I'd like to see your house." Sakura offered. If her hunch was correct it'd make sense somewhat. The non-Yamanaka blonde hair, and the secrecy around his family. She'd gone to the library to look at her teammates records after Naruto mentioned finding info there, but to her despair both of them had confidential records. Sasuke because of his last Uchiha status, and if she was right Naruto because he was the fourth hokage's son.

"Yeah, might as well. Not like I've got anywhere to be." Sasuke said trying to keep face in front of Sakura. He didn't like her, but he did enjoy knowing he had fans.

"Then let's go." Naruto said grinning once more. His teammates followed him out of the training field, and back into town.

Sasuke had to blink twice when Naruto led him to the Namikaze Residence. Sakura looked down the street, and thought about rushing home to tell her mom. She decided against it when Sasuke spoke up.

"Naruto. Are you crazy. Everyone knows that only the Fourth could open the gate. He used a blood seal." Sasuke said trying to figure out how crazy his friend was. Naruto laughed as he placed his hand on a seal. The red circle surrounding the seal turned green, and the gates opened.

"We have one minute to get inside before the gate shuts." Naruto warned as he walked into the yard. He'd tested the seal on the gate a few times timing how long it took to deactivate. If he placed his hand on the seal on the inside while it was open, it'd shut immediately, while if let alone it's close after a minute to allow for guests to come in.

"Nice yard." Sakura said as the gates closed behind them. The house itself was only one story from the outside, but the yard around it was famous as being large. The path that led to the house branched off into three directions, with two leading to the back of the yard. Naruto led them to the other one and inside the house. To Sakura it seemed like the doorknob to the house had the same seal as the gate meaning that only Naruto could open the door.

"So. Can you give others access to the place, or is it just you?" Sasuke asked. If it was the first he'd have to negotiate a way to stay here once in awhile. The Uchiha compound was nice, but with so many empty buildings around he needed time away from the memories.

"Kakashi supposedly has access from his time as my dads student, but I'm not sure how to do it myself. It still sounds strange to say Dad when referring to the Fourth, but it's awesome as hell." Naruto replied. He led them from the entryway into a room with two couches, and a table. Sakura and Sasuke could see the dining room, and kitchen from where they stood meaning that the house was an open layout.

"The study, and back door are that way" Naruto pointed down the only hall they could see.

"So where is your room?" Sasuke asked taking a seat on one of the couches. Naruto grinned as he took a seat across from Sasuke on the other couch.

"Get this. There are three basement levels underneath us. The first one is all bedrooms. I think I counted five rooms other than the one I used last night when I looked around. The next is the library full of hundreds of scrolls and books. The bottom one is the dojo. It's sweet, and has a weapons rack with a dozen different tools." Naruto explained. Sasuke grinned, he was liking Naruto's house even better. His mood was spoiled when he noticed that Sakura had taken a seat next to him.

"So you are the son of Minato Namikaze?" Sakura asked. It didn't seem possible, but in a strange way it made sense.

"Yeah. The old man er... Hokage, and Kakashi-sensei told me yesterday. I'm just as surprised as you guys probably are, but I kinda got used to it once I learned how awesome this place is. Theres even a copy of the fourth's kunai under a few layers of seals." Naruto said. "Come on, I'll show you the place." He stood up, and ushered his teammates down to the end of the hall.

"Okay Naruto I don't see any stairs, or even a ladder. How the hell are we supposed to get down there?" Sasuke asked a bit peeved that they were staring at a dead end.

"Watch, and be amazed." Naruto said grinning. Taking one step forward he vanished through the wall. Sakura glanced over to Sasuke who was smirking as he followed the blond through the wall. She thought about staying back, but an orange clad arm reached out and pulled her through before she could go anywhere.

"An illusion maintained by seals on the wall." Naruto explained. "I've only looked over the basics of sealing techniques, and this stuff is way more advanced than anything I've tried. I can't even dream about trying to recreate it."

"Wait, what?" Sakura asked in shock. Naruto was strangely getting more advanced as she got to know the real him, or what he let her see of the real him.

"Yeah. Iruka gave me a scroll on sealing last year, which I used to learn the object sealing technique. I tried making some seals of my own based on the object sealing technique, but failed. My mom was supposedly from a clan of sealmasters according to one of the history books, but before I knew that I thought it would be awesome way to prank people. Hopefully the library has what I need to further my skills, cause some of the stuff you can do is flat out insane." He said as he led the other two down the stairs to the next floor. On the next level was a long hallway which had six doors.

"This my friends is the bedroom floor." Naruto said as he acted as if he unveiled a secret. "First door to the left is the master suite, the one on the right is the one I'm using. The rest are like mine except totally void of anything but a dresser and bed."

Naruto opened the door to the master bedroom, and waved his friends in to see. "Um Naruto. I have a question." He heard Sasuke ask from inside the room.

"Yeah Emo-boy?" Naruto replied walking into the room. It was his first time actually looking around, and it made him smile. Along with the bed in the center of the room were two separate dressers, photos of Minato, and Kushina and all of their other things. The bed was a little disheveled like someone had gotten out, and forgot to fix the covers, which made it seem more lived in to Naruto. He knew he'd have to sort out stuff eventually, but he liked how it looked.

"Why is there a photo of my mom with some red-head in your house?" Sasuke said ignoring the nickname, and tossing a photo to Naruto. He looked it over, and laughed.

"That redhead is my mom. See that photo over on the bedside with Minato and her? I think that's of their wedding." Naruto tossed the photo back to Sasuke who set it back on the hook. The other Genin looked at the photo he had referenced.

"But the Fourth was single when he died, wasn't he?" Sakura asked.

"We are ninja Sakura. He didn't want her hurt because of him." Naruto said. He turned his back, and walked out. Sakura, and Sasuke glanced around the room before leaving along with their blond teammate. He led them down the stairs past the next level and down to the dojo.

"Welcome to heaven." Naruto said dramatically. The two genin behind him stood in shock. On the walls of the large room were swords, kunai, chains and about every common weapon in multiples.

"Naruto. I want this house." Sasuke said breaking out of his trance. Sakura saw what looked to be bracelets on a table off to the side of the room.

"Naruto. What are those?" She said pointing to where they sat.

"A bit of a project I started last night. Bracelets that have a seal engraved on them to seal throwing weapons. Sealing them in quickly is the easy part." he said placing his hands behind his head as he laughed. "I was having problems getting the kunai to release in the right position. They kept poking me in the palm of my hand."

Sakura nodded her head in false understanding. "I see."

"Oh well. Now that the tours done, let's go back upstairs." Naruto said grabbing his teammates arms before rushing upstairs dragging them up the stairs.
