Allison knew from the get go it was a bad idea. Her palms were sweaty as she climbed the second floor awning. The first window was Brian's parents room. They were reading the newspaper and a magazine as she passed by. The second window was Brian's. He was in bed reading a book on Quantum Physics. How he could stand that drivel she could never figure out. She knocked on his window giving him a scare.

This gave her a little tickle.

He came to the window and opened it with a wide-eyed expression.

"What the hell are you doing!? You could seriously injure yourself you know!"

"I wanted to see you."

This got his attention.

"You wanted to see me?"
"Don't look so surprised. You know you made quite the impression last night."
"I did?"
Allison laughed. "Well are you going to invite me in or what? I'm freezing out here"

Brian's room was decorated with physics books, an Einstein poster, and trophies from different mathletes.

"You're quite the performer. 1st place." She said holding up a blue trophy.
"Ya all the chicks love it. Be quiet you'll wake my parents."
"They're already awake. I saw them. Wanna know what they were doing?"
"Oh god, don't tell me."
"They were reading, pervert. Is that all you think about?"

When you're involved yes.

"It's best to stay out of your head. If you don't you'll end up a basket case like me."
"You're not a basket case."
"Stop flattering me. You should see what my therapist has to say. She thinks I'm a full blown weed fiend."
"Well aren't you?"
They both laughed.
"That was a good one. I'll admit that."

They stopped laughing and started staring into each other's eyes.

"This is how we got into trouble last time." She said hovering over his face.
"I live for trouble."

Oh god I can't believe I said that.

They kissed. Brian grabbed her by the back of the head and pressed his lips to hers.

That night was better than the first. Allison left in the morning before Brian's parents got up. She placed a kiss on his forehead as he slept in on a lazy Sunday. Her mother was at the breakfast table as she walked in. Hair frazzled.

"Care to explain where you were?"
"With a friend."
"Care to tell me her name?"
"His name's Brian.
"His name?"
"Is that a problem?"
"No, just leave a note next time. You had your father and I worried."

And you wonder why I think you don't care. God am I asking to be grounded?

Brian woke with a kick in his step. A new found groove to get him through the day. His parents and siblings were off put by his new found enthusiasm for life.

"What's got you happy?" His mother asked.
"Yeah!"
"Just enjoying the weekend."
"...Sure."

She kept her eyes on the boy as he got ready for mass.

"Hurry up or we'll be late."

Church was uneventful as usual. For once Brian noticed Andy and his family back there crowd. They exchanged looks of recognition but nothing more.

If only he knew.

Would they tell Andy? What was there to tell. They made love a few times sure.

Wow I'm really underplaying this. I guess I'm desensitized to sex now.

"Brian, pay attention."
"Yes, mother."

I've got a pretty girlfriend and she's in love with me. I'm on top of the world.

"Brian, wake up."

Brian woke from his trance on Allison's lap. It was Monday, 9am, free period, and the two were spending it huddled under a maple tree.

"I drew you."

She showed him a sketch of him and her by the bay where they had walked the previous night. It was spot on apart from some necessary shading here and there.

"You did this all from memory?"

"Yes sir."

"You're one hell of an artist."

"That got your attention. What are you even dreaming about?"
"You, school, church."
"Have you accepted Jesus Christ into your heart?"
"You know you shouldn't joke about stuff like that. You could really offend someone."
"I always was the naughty one. Seems you'll have to punish me."

Brian was confused. Things had started off innocently, but soon things began to delve into, for a lack of a better term, naughty endeavors. Could a dork like him keep up.

"Uh, sure. How about you do your homework as soon as you get home?"
"I had something else in mind."

She reached for his pants.

"Hey we're at school!"
"We can go some place private if you like."
"Like where?"

They made their way nto the school basement where all the files were held. The monitor was on break as they snuck by.

Stay cool, Johnson. You won't get caught. You won't be found.

Allison took off her shirt and lifted Brian's off.

"If we get caught we're in serious trouble."
"We won't."
"Hello?"

The two of them hid behind the files. Janitor Carl Reeds pulled up with his cart and discovered a loose shirt by the confidential files.

"He's got my shirt!" Allison whispered.

"Whoever's here better come out before I call security."
"Don't! We're unarmed and don't want any trouble."

Smooth moves, Johnson.

Brian came out with his arms up. Bare chest exposed.

"Johnson is that you?" Carl smiled. "What brings you down here? Where's your shirt? It sure ain't this."
"That would happen to be my friend's, sir."
"Friend's?"
Allison came out with her arms hiding her chest.

"Oh so the two of you- wow now you'd really be in trouble."
"Please, sir, just let us go." Allison pleaded.
"Alright I will. On one condition."
"What?"
"You hand me all the money you've got?"
"Are you serious?"
"Nah, I'm just playing." He tossed Allison her shirt. "But seriously, get on out of here."

They left giggling about their discovery.

"Promise me we won't do that again." Brian said. He still had goosebumps.
"Hey we would have gotten away with it if you didn't open your loud mouth."
"Who are you calling loud mouth?"
"You, smart one."

The bell rang indicating the end of free period.

"You want to meet after school?"
"Can't. Grounded."
"Oh yeah. Sorry about that."
"It's not your fault."
"It kinda sorta is. Your mom does sound like a piece of work though."
"Trust me she is. Don't tell her I said that though."
"I'll keep your secret."

She zipped her mouth shut.

"I guess I'll see you at lunch. Same place."
"Same place."

They kissed and parted ways.

From afar Andy watched. A fire burning in his chest. He caught up to Allison on her way to class.

"You seem to move fast. How long did it take before you got with Brian?"
"You're coming off as real hostile right now. Leave me alone."
"Not until you answer the question."
"I got with him as soon as you blew me off for your buddies. At least Brian doesn't care to hide me. He's not ashamed of me."
"Who said I was. I keep trying to tell you I want you in my life. I fought a guy in your name."
"What are you a knight? You fought a guy? I care about Brian and he cares about me. Conversation over."

She walked into her classroom slamming the door behind her. Andy stood in the hallway mentally beating himself up. Things weren't supposed to go like this. What could he do to win her back. Could he? Who knows. But he could try. And he knew exactly where to start. Brian Johnson.
