Chapter 5
After having run out on his teammates, and by what he could tell that was his sensei walking in. Tsunari had pretty much plopped down on the one swing outside of the school. He knew he wouldn't get too far, and with a giant dog like Akamaru just sitting outside he knew that he would be found quickly. Sighing, he stared down at the ground, kicking at the dirt every so often and mumbling to himself.
"You know, that was quite interesting. That's how Sasuke, Sakura and I use to act between one another…or at least very similar."
"I don't think I ever made you run away like that."
"That guy just infuriates me…honestly, I'm starting to think it was a bad idea to put us on a team. And seriously, you guys aren't helping one bit." Tsunari stated with a huff as he kicked a rock towards the school building, watching it as it hit Akamaru on the head when it landed. It issued a bark from the dog causing Tsunari to glance up and giving an apologetic smile towards the dog. "Sorry Akamaru." he stated before he shook his head and glanced back down.
"you aren't helping yourself by sitting there and moping." Sasuke stated rather blandly.
"And you aren't helping by starting such things Sasuke." Tsunari stated and was about to say something else within his mindscape when Naruto cut in.
"Kiba alert, everyone quiet and look somewhat sane." Naruto stated quickly.
Tsunari glanced up from the ground as Kiba was making his way over towards the swing where he was currently at. He glanced over to the side a bit away from his sensei that was making his way over to him. He sighed a second before glancing back over as he came over and leaned on the tree.
"Sensei." Tsunari stated quietly, though Kiba just glanced down for a second before he looked back up and gave a slight laugh.
"I have never in my whole life seen someone run out of a classroom like that when they were about to meet their sensei." he stated with a shake of his head, "Well, okay…I've seen someone run out of the classroom like that once before, but I didn't think it would happen again in my lifetime." he stated and Tsunari raised an eyebrow before he glanced back down.
"Sorry…it's just…I got so angry and I didn't want to be the cause for anymore fighting." he stated, "I don't know how well Daisuke and I are going to get along, but I can tell you now…he's a jerk." He stated with a frown and glaring towards the school building.
"Come now Tsunari, we all have people we don't like but we must learn to move past that and work together. I'm sure you've heard the stories of Naruto and Sasuke…they use to fight all the time, but they at least learned to work together when they needed to. But that's a story for another time. Why don't you come back inside, we can all introduce ourselves and we'll go from there. Come on." he stated as he motioned for the other to follow him.
Tsunari stared for a second, was it really true that they started off not friends, but worked together and were friends in the same? He'd have to ask about that later on. Shrugging off the thought he slid off of the swing and stood up. Brushing off his clothes he glanced up towards his Sensei and sighed.
"Alright, but I'm not promising anything. I told him and Chinen that I'd work together with them, but apparently it's him who doesn't want to work with anyone." he stated as he started off towards the school building once more. Kiba shaking his head and just looking over towards Akamaru as the child disappeared into the building.
"You're a part of this too, you get to help keep them in line buddy." he stated causing Akamaru to give a slight huff as Kiba walked by and back towards the school. He walked into the classroom only to see both Daisuke and Tsunari, they were facing opposite directions, their noses up in the air and their arms crossed. Obviously something was going on now and it hadn't even been five minutes since they had been back in the building. "What's going on now?" Kiba asked walking over to the pair with a sigh.
"I am not working with him, he's such an arrogant prick." Tsunari stated.
"He's such a child, I'm not working with anyone as childish as him." Daisuke stated with a sigh.
"They're acting like we did back when we were first Genin."
"You got that right, though that never really ended well…as you can see how we ended up. I fear for them." Sasuke stated. Tsunari lowered his head a moment after hearing this before he glanced over his shoulder towards Daisuke and then turned his attention onto the floor. He looked like he was thinking about something;
"You guys will have to tell me what happened between you. Maybe it will help Daisuke and I…" Tsunari said to Naruto and Sasuke.
"I don't know how much help we can be, our rivalry ended with us dead….or spirits within your subconscious." Sasuke stated.
"That's exactly why I said you need to tell me the story, then maybe I can apply a different method than what you and Naruto did.." Tsunari stated, though his thoughts were broken by Kiba as he spoke.
"You two really need to shape up, so why don't you guys go find a seat on the floor, or at one of the desks and we'll get to know each other a little better. And I don't want any fussing." he stated glancing at the entirety of the group. With that the trio of Genin dispersed their separate ways. Daisuke taking his usual seat at one of the desks, Tsunari went and sat on one of the lower desk tops and crossed his legs and Chinen moved over to sit on the desk top next to Tsunari her legs swinging back and forth as Mayonaka sat on her lap. Kiba leaned against the teachers desk and glanced at each one of his students and then nodded.
"Well, then lets begin. Why don't you start off telling us your name, likes, dislikes…whatever the hell else you can come up with." he stated with a shrug and added, "So who wants to go first?" He asked glancing at his students for a moment.
Raising her hand, Chinen smiled and said, "I'll go first." She cleared her throat a second before she began speaking once more. "My name is Chinen Hontomori, and this pretty kitty here is Mayonaka. Likes huh…well I guess you can say I like doing my nails, cats, and shopping….but I also have a secret crush, but you'll never know who I like." She stated with a smile, "Dislikes, well….I hate rude people, and impulsive people. Spicy foods I despise, so just keep them away from me." She stated with a nod as she thought a little more and shrugged, "That's all I can think of right now. Oh, and I want to become the best shinobi I can possibly be." She stated with a smile.
"She doesn't sound like a shinobi, she sounds like a beauty queen. Is she sure this is what she wants to do?" Naruto asked.
"Ugh…she sounds like Ino. This is so annoying." Sasuke stated.
"You both sound like a couple of whiney babies." Tsunari countered.
"Say that again and see what happens." Sasuke warned and Tsunari just raised an eyebrow a second before he gave a slight smirk.
"What's the worst that could happen, you give me an ulcer?" Tsunari stated causing Sasuke's eye to twitch a little. Though his thought process was brought back to the current situation at hand as Daisuke's voice rang through the air causing him to glance over towards where he was sitting.
"Daisuke Tsuzukami. Honestly why you would give out your likes and dislikes is quite confusing to me. It just gives other's a chance to use it against you, and could spout trouble later on." He stated causing Tsunari to frown before he shook his head and glanced back over towards Kiba and down to the ground.
"Well, I don't have anything as special as they do. The names Tsunari, and I like Dango and sweets. Though I really really really hate Tomatoes and ramen. I just don't like them for some reason. But I'm aiming to become Hokage someday and hope that I can help make Konoha a place where everyone can live happily." he stated.
"He hates ramen…how can he hate ramen? It's just so…so….delicious." Naruto stated with an obvious pout upon his face. Sasuke looked highly amused, though on the inside he was having the same turmoil about the tomato thing. How could anyone not like them?
"Yes, I hate ramen. It's just weird, I feel like I'm eating worms when I eat it…now shut up." Tsunari stated before looking back towards Kiba. They had all finished their introductions, and with him having finished his own Daisuke glanced over and gave a look that stated he didn't believe Tsunari one bit. Though he figured that the other would never make it to Genin but look at him now.
"Don't wish for something so big…You'll never reach Hokage in a million years. No parents, the only people who you hang around with are the people you think are your friends." Daisuke stated, and Tsunari just glared at the other.
"Honestly you guys, are you going to fight the entire time?" Chinen asked with a sigh as he crossed her arms and just stared at the two.
"Yes!" Both Daisuke and Tsunari said at the same time, turning to face Chinen. Kiba on the other hand sighed before shaking his head and pushing off of the teachers desk before making his way over to the group that was standing over there. He stepped in between the two boys and placed a hand on each of their shoulders. He got down to their level and glanced between them.
"There will be no fighting, and you will work together. Or I can very easily just send you right back to the academy." He stated glancing between the duo.
"Wha…no, that means I'd have to go back too. Come on guys, stop fighting…I don't want to go back to being an academy student." Chinen said with a whine, both Tsunari and Daisuke quickly glanced over towards their sensei. He was kidding right? He couldn't send them back to the academy, not that they've graduated. It was just unheard of, right? No one could be that cruel, though Kiba caught the looks he was receiving and gave a devious little smirk.
"Oh, if you think that I wouldn't do it, you just watch. Now that we've all gotten acquainted somewhat, let's take the next couple of days to ourselves and we'll meet right here infront of the school in three days time where you'll get your first mission. Now, what do you say. Are you going to get along or are you going to just argue the entire time? Your answer decides what's going to happen." He stated glancing between the two boys, Chinen folding her hand looking desperate for them to answer correctly at the moment. Tsunari glanced over towards Daisuke and Daisuke looked at Tsunari, though both of them crossed their arms and quickly turned their noses back up into the air.
"Fine, but I'm not promising we won't get along outside of missions or anything." Tsunari stated.
"Ditto to that." Daisuke said in response. Kiba just hung his head and sighed for a moment before raising it, and nodding a little. Chinen just lowered her hands and rolled her eyes before hanging her own head and shaking it.
"I guess that'll have to do, we'll see how well you guys work together. But until then, try not to kill each other" Kiba stated.
"Fine." Daisuke and Tsunari stated together before they both tore away from their sensei and started out the door. Kiba watched for a second as both boys tried to go out the door at the same time before stumbling out it and quickly righting themselves. He chuckled and shook his head as he watched them both walk down the hallway and disappear. He sighed and glanced down for a second, his hands on his hips as he thought aloud.
"I've sure got my hands full…" he stated.
"Agreed, but I don't think those two could get along even if you forced them to." Chinen stated before Kiba looked down at the pink haired female. He sighed and glanced back towards the door before he shook his head.
"I sure hope your wrong…." Kiba stated as he stared at the door that the boys had left through just seconds ago. Chinen stared up at her sensei for a second before giving a shrug and then running towards the door.
"Daisuke! Wait up!" She yelled as she went to go catch up with the two males that were storming off towards who knows where, Mayonaka chasing after her owner and leaving Kiba to stand there staring, letting his mind wander to how exactly this was even going to work.
