I: HAPPY, Happy, happy face!
Me: Why are you so upbeat?
I: Because we got sooooooo many great comments on our story!
Myself: Yes, yes we did… We have lured them into our trap. The gates of our writing have closed them in. Now, it is too late! They cannot escape from…
Me, I and KASMN: CALM YOURSELF!
Myself: Hehe. Sorry.
Will: WE HAVE ARRIVED!
Halt: Way to go genius. You just let the raving lunatic know where we are.
Will: It can't be too bad…
*Me, Myself, I , and KASMN stare at him creepily*
Will: Can it?

He gave me a cruel sneer. And for the first time, I saw his glittering fangs.
"I have nothing to hide Ms. Mayta. For I am just Lord Morgarath of the Castle of Rain and Night."
Morgarath circled around me, but I didn't see him. I wasn't concentrating on his cruel, dead eyes. Or the malice in his mind. The only thing that held my attention at this point were his fangs. A vampire. Morgarath was a damn vampire. Now, don't get me wrong. There were many vampires that were amazing. But the majority were sick, heartless bloodsuckers. My guess was he was one of these. Sure enough, his next words confirmed it.
"Did you know that if you take the blood from someone who possesses magic in them, the magic will transfer to you? It's quite a rush."
"No thank you. I tend to not gnaw on peoples' necks and suck the life out of them." He gave me that creepy, psychotic grin again. I wish I could wipe it right off his smug face. Maybe an axe would do the job. Hmmm…
"Wait a minute." I said. "You aren't seriously considering what I think you are?" He didn't answer, just gave me that creepy grin. I took a deep breath. Having my blood sucked out was not on the top of my list of good feelings. Morgarath liked his lips, seemingly in anticipation. Then the bastard sank his teeth into my neck.
There are some people who enjoy being bitten by a vampire is thrilling. They like the flush of pain and warmth of the blood leaving their body in a swift, cool, strokes. They enjoy the weak, easy feeling they get from the blood loss. Others even get a rush out of it. A kind of magical charge.
I was not one of those people. To me, being bitten by a vampire was like being stabbed. By two knives at once. Some vamps could make their bites slide in your neck with ease so that you almost don't feel it. Morgorath obviously wasn't like that. It seemed to me that he didn't want to minimize the pain, he wanted my elemental power, and he wanted me to feel it. And I definitely felt it. I tried to hold back my cries of pain, but it felt like someone was stabbing me in the neck and taking my magic with it. Part of me, possibly the more rational side of me, was trying to pull back some of the power. I could feel it hiding itself in the farthest corners of my body. And then, he stopped. I took a breath I hadn't realized i'd been holding. By now, my vision was blurry, my breath was ragged, and tremors racked my body. Morgarath waved his hand and I was pulled up from the chair. Before they dragged me completely out of the room, I saw Morgaraths face. It said all I needed to know. I would be back soon enough. And he would take away more of my magic. But then I was dragged out. This time, I couldn't focus on my surroundings. The only thing I could focus on was trying to stay awake. Before I knew it, I was back to that cold stone room. When they threw me on the ground, I got up and leaned against the wall.
"Well, well, well. If it isn't Ally Mayta. Back from the dead. I believe the last time we met, someone was trying to kill me."
"If I recall correctly, some prick of a soldier had you pinned up against a wall and a knife to your neck. He was calling you, and I quote, 'The scum of the lands who infest all they touch. You bugs who crawl into everyones business. And know I am going to eradicate your species from the earth. Starting with you.' And if I don't say so myself, if I hadn't been walking by at the time, you would probably be dead in an alley somewhere."
"Yeah, saved by an assassin. Not exactly what everyone thinks when they think of the awe-inspiring Rangers."
"Well, I also recall him saying something about how Rangers all possess some kind of magic. And don't give me that lie that it's all superstitious nonsense." Gilan took a deep breath. "Trust me when I say this Gilan, I know magic users when I see them." He grew up his hands in exasperation.
"Fine. Yes. Most, if not all Rangers have some sort of magic."
"And what about you? Ranger Gilan?"
"Let's just say that if you happen to get poisoned, I would be the first person you should come to." I let a small smile grace my lips. All of a sudden, my vision tunneled and I fell to the ground in pain.
"You look bad."
"Oh shut..up Gilan."
"What exactly happened?" I took a deep breath.
"Morgarath happened. Did you realize he was a vampire? I hate them."
"Don't talk bad about vampires. I happen to know some and the are quite nice."
"Well, Morgarath is definitely not one of those vamps. Not only did he take…most of my blood…He also took…"
"Your magic?"
"How did you know I had magic?"
"Like you said, magic users can always sense other magic users. I can sense your magic, but it is extremely faint.I going to out on a limb and say that as he took your blood, he took your magic as well?"
"That sounds about right."
"So what are you going to do about it?"
"I have an idea. And I was hoping you could help me with it." I let a mischievous grin pass over my face. Then began telling Gilan about my plan.

KASMN: HAHAHHHAHAHAHHA!
ME: Should we be concerned?….
Myself: Don't worry. She's like this all the time.
I: So…May I inquire as to why Will is tied up and covered in duct tape.
*Me, Myself, and KASMN exchange suspicious glances.*
KASMN: uhhhhhh…No reason.
Halt: Uh huh. Sure. I believe it had something to do with the fact he hated how you ended your chapters in evil cliffhangers.
KASMN: ummm. no, no it didn't.
Halt: Suuuuuureeeee….
ME: DO YOU WANT ME TO TELL PAULINE ABOUT HOW YOU THREW SOMEONE IN A MOAT YESTERDAY.

Pauline: YOU BETTER NOT HAVE OR SO HELP ME I WILL TAKE AWAY ALL COFFEE FOR A MONTH!
