Hey everyone just wanted to say this chapter is kind of short, but I promise the next will be longer. R&R! more chapters too come!
Chapter 6
Jack had been making port a lot more lately, so Annie could play more at the playground. One day Annie came running up to him yelling "daddy!"
"What's the matter, luv?" asked jack as she crawled onto his lap.
"That boy over there" she sobbed "stole my play sword that keeps the monsters away."
Jack looked to where she was pointing to see a little red headed boy with freckles banging her sword against a swing set.
Jack said "ah I see" he thought for a moment then whispered something in her ear.
"I'm I allowed to do that?" asked Annie.
"Hmm no" said jack "but if anybody has a problem with it they can deal with me."
"Okay" said Annie.
With that Annie went over to the boy, took the play sword from him, clocked him over the head with it and the boy went running off, crying.
There jack thought smiling I just taught her to stick up for herself.
Then his smile faded when he saw the red headed Scarlett that was always slapping him, coming up the hill holding the little boy in her arms.
Jack rushed to Annie's side
"What's going on here?" demanded Scarlett "that little brat just hurt my precious Benjamin."
"That little brat" jack said through clenched teeth "is my daughter."
"Well" Scarlett said sobbingly as she put Benjamin down "that makes sense, the father is no better."
Jack looked at her "well, your boy is just as snobby as you are."
Then Scarlett slapped jack across the face and Benjamin stuck his tongue out at Annie.
Annie then slapped Benjamin across the face and the two parents took their children and went either way.
"I'm proud of you Annie" jack told her as she rested her head on his shoulder.
"Why?" Annie asked.
"Because you stood up for yourself" jack said "your becoming a big girl already."
