Back at the squad Elliot and Olivia were busy trying to figure out where the mysterious girl with the beautiful name, and her 14 month old son, came from.

"Yes that's right, Aleyiah. A-l-e-…yes i-a-h…. Nothing….Are you sure?...Alright, thank you." And Olivia hung up the phone, exasperatedly.

"Nothing from Hanover Day School."

"I got diddly from Tanner Day and P.S. 147." Elliot commented, also exasperated.

Olivia rubbed under her eyebrow with one finger which she did out of habit when she was getting nowhere on a case. "This girl has to come from somewhere, now we've checked all the schools in the area, including the one she was found behind, and no one has a student with that name attending. What are we missing?"

The detectives looked around at each other and Fin was the first to speak up.

"Maybe this girl ain't who she says she is. Her name's probably not even Aleyiah."

"Well, her parents were calling her by that name, so I think the name's legit." Elliot answered back, slight contempt in the tone of his voice. He and Fin had history and Elliot was never shy about showing it.

"Maybe she's not from New York. Someone could have attacked her and come to New York to dump her so they wouldn't get caught." Munch offered.

"Well, without the rape kit we have no DNA or forensic evidence to tell us anything about her attacker. And CSU combed the area behind the school where she was found and there was nothing there linking anyone to Aleyiah or to Vincent." Olivia chimed in, then got up from her desk and walked towards the door. "I should have never let her leave that hospital," She whispered mainly to herself, but Elliot was right behind her supporting her. He put his hand on her shoulder and turned her into him to stop her from leaving the squad room. "You didn't have a choice, her parents were there, and you heard the doc…no reason to hold her."

Olivia turned to face him, anger in her eyes, "That girl was raped and beat up and someone left her and her baby behind that school to die!"

"Not you. It wasn't you that did that to her, Liv…."

"You didn't see the look on her face when her parents came into that room, Elliot. She was terrified of them, and the second they were there she clammed up and wouldn't talk to me anymore. And then to lie and say that baby, whom she had been asking about repeatedly before her parents showed up, wasn't even hers?! Something is not right with those people, El."

Elliot nodded his head, but before he could speak Cragen came out of his office. "Elliot, Olivia, nurse from St. Elizabeth's just called…"

Olivia turned to him with a concerned look on her face. "Is Aleyiah back in the hospital?" She asked with a twinge of hope in her voice.

"No,…someone is there trying to take the baby, claiming he's the father."

Elliot and Olivia exchanged a glance, then grabbed their coats and were out the door.
