Chapter 5 Bad Luck
-On the Sirius-
Edwardo's POV
…..Can it get any more boring than it already has, not to mention any more worse? I mean, Morgan has us getting the most simplest of treasures, and some of them are not worth that much, and nothing exciting has happened to us. Morgan has been drinking more and more, muttering something about his little sister. Russell thinks he can push me around and keeps nagging me to fight with him. Nathan has burnt most of our food, which is very rare I might add. Christopher has gotten sick for some reason that we do not know. Not to mention that Thomas was close to going overboard not once but three times. As for me, I got us lost at least twice in one week. I rarely get my crew off track and when I do it's normally the cause of storms.
Well…I can't really blame anyone for our misfortune, but why did it happen? I'm losing it; I need to ask the captain. I left my post to find Morgan and sure enough I found him, drunk, hopeless, and was just lying there on the ground with blood shot eyes. I sighed and shook my head. For a minute I forgot why I even came in here. Then I remembered and just glanced at a map that was mounted on the wall. "Cap'n, we have a situation."
"What else is new?" Morgan whined and I growled silently and clutched my fist. This wasn't our Captain. This was a crybaby wanting his milk and passy. "MORGAN!" I yelled and he instantly looked up at me with scared eyes like a little child being scolded for something he did wrong. Suck it up, clean up, and get up. You're our Captain!"
"You be Captain I don't wanna." He whined again. I about had it with his whining. I grabbed his undershirt, pulled him to his feet, and punched him in the face. "STOP ACTING LIKE A SPOILED CHILD! WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH YOU?!" I've never yelled at Morgan before but how else was I going to get through his foggy drunken head of his.
I was silent in that room. And for a couple of minutes I just wanted Morgan's limb body in my hands. I saw Morgan's head move and his eyes met mine. "I lost it Ed."
"Lost what?" I said a bit annoyed.
"The Tear of the Mermaid."
"YOU DID WHAT!? THAT THING IS WORTH MORE THAN THE WHOLE CREW'S LIVES!" I yelled once again and basically dropped Morgan on the floor and paced the small room. I heard the door open and Russell's head popped in. I looked at him with a crazed look which made him scuffle a laugh. "What do you want?" I demanded. Russell coughed and opened the door wider. "I couldn't help but over hear that we lost an item that was close to Morgan."
"It was my little sister's. I took it from her but I swore to give it back, but now I lost it."
"I-If you mean Sora then you have no worries then."
"Why?" I asked and glared at Russell. All he did was rub his head and gave a small chuckle. I knew what he meant by that so I punch his as well. "YOU LET A GIRL BEST YOU!? ARE YOU STUPID?!"
"It wasn't my fault. It was dark and she had a gun and sword!" Russell retorted and just eyed everyone with a defenseless look. My eye twitched and I could feel my muscles tense up. "That…Is…The WORST ESCUSE EVER!" I cried out and left before the madness got to me and there would be no crew anymore
Russell's POV
I watched as Edwardo storm out of the room with a burning furry. I flinched waiting for him to punch me again. I've never seen him so mad before now. Morgan moaned weakly and I snapped my head to the drunken Captain. Morgan's eyes were blood shot and his face was drained of color. I can't even bear looking at him anymore.
"Russell, how was she?"
"Who Capt'n"
"My sister. Sora."
"Fierce, had a fire in her eye. I can see how she takes after you." I could tell that it made him feel a little better. I could see a smile stretch across from his face. "I'm glad she's alright." He said and passed out on the floor. I left the room and closed the door. Edwardo shook his head at me and huffed and left me standing there on the boat. Now I've made up my mind.
I'm going to find Sora and make her give back that jewel and talk to her brother.
