A/N. Whoa over 2000 views to this story I love all of you reading this! Ok so this is the next chapter and I hope you all like it read review and all the rest. I'm thinking of doing up a sketch of Tilpi Cottage since I got my Wacom for Christmas and will try and make it look as awesome as possible. Anyway on with the story, I'm going to start it part way through the day in the last chapter. P.s in the end of the last chapter I forgot a word it was "over", sorry for the confusion it may have caused. Disclaimer- Yes it is me Mashima Hiro writing a fanfiction to get out my need for this couple to be together… I kid I kid, I don't own. They had decided to visit the Wendy Day's café for lunch again. And despite their morning the day was turning out rather well. Lucy had been shopping with Mira and Lissana, by the time they left the stores her arms couldn't hold any more. As his words sank into silence he looked in the blondes eyes, searching for any sign that it was time and he could tell her. Though all that lay in their depths was worry and confusion, what he was looking for wasn't… Needless to say their breakfast was quick and quiet. Departing Tilpi Cottage the pair arrived at Fairy Tail and went their separate ways, she to Mira and Cana who sat at the bar talking and he just walked out onto the back deck, sitting on the steps and burying his toes in the sand. "So I'm guessing you failed again," Gray said walking up behind him, "you know everyone knows right." He continued sitting himself beside the angsty teen. "Piss off Gray before I bury you from one head to the other in this sand." I grumbled angrily digging his toes further into the cool grainy ground. "Ok so it went horribly then." Gray said completely ignoring Natsu' threat, which Natsu intended to keep if the striper kept this up. "Gray I mean it, I don't feel in a sociable mood." He said still facing the beach, watching the tide approach and recede. Gray studied the boy; seeing his stiff shoulders bunch. It was obvious that Natsu was in a bad mood but since when did he back down when it came to Natsu? "Come on flame-brain you couldn't have screwed up that much. Even you can't fuck something up beyond repair with that girl. You've been friends for years if you could screw up and make her hate you, it would have happened by now." Grays voice ringing with smug humor, Natsu turned to face him the slightest smirk forcing its way onto his face. "Come on tell me or I'll go get Juvia to nag you till you do, and trust me you don't want that!" his threat made Natsu's smirk expand becoming a full grin. "Yeah, I don't want that because she's your problem not mine." With that Natsu stood up brushing the sand residue off his board shorts, "You coming?" he called behind him. "Yea." The other said as the walked off down the strip. After hearing about that morning made Gray laugh, Lucy had been checking out Natsu? That was just to funny, I mean with how Natsu had been acting I thought maybe all was lost and his friend would be moping for months. No, instead things had taken a positive turn, maybe not in the conventional way but it still meant that she would be aware of Natsu as a man and not the BFF that he had been. Gray smiled, it would be interesting the watch this proceed. Walking off Grays smile grew; Juvia would love to hear this… Lucy couldn't help the yawn that escaped her, it had been a big day –a big busy day of avoiding her best friend- the sun had set hours ago now, staring into the fire in front of her the smell of marshmallows burning permeating the air. Mira sat next to her Lissana already asleep on her big sisters lap; it looked so warm and comfortable gazing over the two Lucy didn't notice she was also dozing off. Around ten the group started packing up, putting out he fire and taking the towels and blankets back inside. Natsu had just finished placing a beach chair back on the deck when Mira came over to him, beside her stood Elfmen with a passed out Lissana in his arms. Looking up from the unconscious girl he looked at Mira in a 'yes well?' face. Answering his silent question Mira asked, "Lucy fell asleep can you take her home?" looking over to where he knew Lucy was he saw her collapsed on the sand, using her arm as a cushion. Shaking his head Natsu said, "No problem I'll get her." muttering 'lightweight' under his breath as he strode towards her. "Really Luce you couldn't stay awake just for a few more hours?" he asked the slumberous blonde, shaking his head again he picked her up, carrying her bridle style so as not to wake her. Getting her in the car proved tricky, he ended up having to open it backwards, hold the door open with his foot while turning and placing her in the backseat. With that chore out of the way he got in himself, opening the glove compartment taking out his motion sickness pills and taking two. Pulling out he set off for the cottage, only the sounds of the ocean and Lucy's breathing disturbing the silence. Going through the same process of opening the car door with the front, Natsu made it inside. Closing the door quietly with his back he started up to Lucy's room, speaking softly to her as he went, "You know you are so lucky I lift because other people might not be able to carry you up a damp path and then stairs. Seriously why did you have to pass out at the beach? You could've come and said you were feeling tired I would have brought you back, but NOOO you just had to enter beddy-bye land while we were out." Shaking his head at the girl he was in love with and her antics he continued his one-sided discussion, "My little princess should really work on her endurance." Laying her into bed her took off her sandals and pulled the blankets down and over her, kissing her check Natsu walk out the door closing it after him he went to his room feeling drained now that Lucy was asleep, laying down he fell asleep. "Princess?" (Sorry for the long wait and short chapter, it's just hard to get back into writing this. Please review)
