When they were back in the Tardis, the Doctor immediately asked Clary: „How did you kill it? How did you kill the Weeping angel?"

"As I said, I'm a Shadowhunter and… I think it will take some time to explain everything."

"That doesn't matter", Rose replied.

"We have all the time we need." The Doctor smiled a little.

Clary took a deep breath. "Ok. So, I'm a Shadowhunter, therefore I have special abilities. Errrrm, I should explain what a Shadowhunter is. We are human, but we were a bit changed by the angel Raziel. I don't want to explain how that worked and everything, but yeah, we have a bit of the blood of an angel inside us. Everyone of us has abilities like being invisible for normal people – if we don't want to be seen."

"But your ability, I'm sure not every Shadowhunter has it, right?" Rose interjected.

Clary nodded. "Yeah, it's because… because my father did something terrible to my brother and me." She sighed, and fell silent for a moment. Then she went on: "Lilith, the oldest demon, gave Valentine, my father, her blood and he gave it into my mother's food when she was pregnant. So… my brother is infected with the blood, or worse, he's not even human anymore. He has more of a demon." She stopped.

"You don't seem to be demonic." Clary looked at the Doctor, who was watching her attentively.

"Well, my mother wasn't pregnant with me", she replied. "My dad did experiments. A lot of them. He caught an angel and took some of his blood. This blood he gave to my mom, when she was pregnant with me. So I ate angel blood. Because of that I have this special abilities with the runes."

Rose looked at Clary in shock. "It's awful what your father did." She hugged Clary.

"Yes, it really is", the red-haired girl agreed, feeling tears in her eyes. She didn't want to cry now. She closed her eyes for a second, blinking the tears away. The Doctor stood silent.

"You poor girl", Rose said.

"I've learned to live with it." Clary tried to smile, what failed.

"That's an… interesting story. And I think I owe you a bit of mine", the Doctor said quietly.

The both of them turned around and looked at him. Rose hissed on eyebrow and Clary thought, that she didn't know much about him either.

"I'm a Timelord", the Doctor began. "From Gallifrey."

"Where is Gallifrey?" Clary asked.

The Doctor looked sad. "It was very far away. Before I…" His voice trembled and he stopped talking.

"Doctor", Rose said gently and put one hand on his arm. "It's okay. You don't need to tell us."

He looked at Rose and gave her a little smile. It was a thankful smile and filled with love.

Then the Doctor took a breath and went on: "No, I will tell you. Just a little part of my story. I am the last of the Timelords. I am nine hundred and one years old."

"Wait. How is that possible?"

"He's a Timelord", Rose said like it would explain everything.

"I don't die. Well, I can die, but if I am deadly wounded or my body is getting older and older, I regenerate into another body. My old "I" dies and there's a new one. New body, new character. It feels like dying, actually."

Clary nodded. Rose must have been the only human, who ever knew about Timelords and Shadowhunters. The only human who knew, that there was so much more.

"And this Tardis… it's yours?" Clary wanted to know.

"Yes." The Doctor smiled.

"He stole it out of a museum", Rose said and winked.

Clary laughed. She couldn't imagine the Doctor stealing this blue box. And wait… "Why is it a blue box?"

"It is very old. And normally, it should transform from place to place and time to time. It should be invisible for inattentive people. Species. Err… but it's stuck in the form of a 60's emergency phone box. And before you ask… being bigger on the inside is Timelord technique." While he spoke, his voice became milder and milder. It was highly visible, that the Tardis was one of the most important things in the Doctor's life.

For a while, nobody spoke a word. Then, Clary asked: "Can we go back to Earth, please?"

A bit confused, the Doctor looked up to her. "Why?" The question came out like "Why would someone want to go back to Earth after knowing all of this?"

"Because of Jace."

"Your boyfriend?" Rose grinned as Clary nodded.

"I… Is it okay if I tell him about this?" Clary made a vague gesture around the Tardis.

The Doctor seemed to think. But then he grinned. "What do you think about a little adventure? Rose, your Jace, you and me?"

Clary was surprised. "If… if that's really okay. Of course!"

She couldn't wait to see Jace' face. She smiled and the Doctor started the Tardis.
