Hey guys! So I was listening to the audiobook The Secret Diary of Lizzie Bennet and I got so inspired to write.

Side note for those who already read the book: HOLY AUGUST 1ST. I did not expect that.

So here's the next chapter. It's not that long but I think it's good but don't trust my opinion. Read & review people!

Lizzie looked all around hers and Darcy's room for anything that they'd need for the weekend. They were going to have Thanksgiving dinner with Lizzie's family and would be staying with Jane and Bing at Netherfield. Jane figured that their mom, being who she is, would crowd Lizzie and the last thing a pregnant woman needs is to be crowded. She invited Lydia and Max as well but they were spending this Thanksgiving with Max's family.

"Darcy, did you remember our toothbrushes? And our I.D.?"

He walked into the bedroom with both in hand. "Sweetheart, relax. We have everything we need and if we don't, we'll just buy it. We're rich, remember? It's just one weekend."

She laughed wholeheartedly at this and dug her palms into her temples. "I know, but this is our first holiday as a married couple. And it happens to coincide with our first holiday as parents. This is very breathtaking and euphoric but I am scared shitless."

Darcy sat on the bed and took her left hand into his.

"Lizzie, look down at our hands. You see those rings? That means that I am here too and I am with you every step of the way. And please believe me when I say this, I am scared… ahem… crap-less too. It's going to be okay. Now can you stop worrying so we can catch our flight?"

Lizzie smiled and kissed his cheek. "Yeah, let's go."

Three hours later, they are unpacked and settled into Netherfield. "It is a good thing Bing gave you an extra key, I don't think I could have gone another second. Am I going to be this tired all throughout my pregnancy? Because I have no idea how my business is going to survive these next few months."

Darcy chuckled. "Do not worry, my love. We said no talk of Illumination or Pemberley while we're here. That is, unless, you wish to end our little… agreement early."

Lizzie eyed him as he smiled smugly. "Nope, you're going to lose and I am going to cash in as soon as we get home. I do not lose."

Darcy kissed her forehead. "Excellent. Now I am sure I heard a car pull up in front. Let's see who it is."

They both got up and departed for the entry way of Netherfield. As soon as they arrived, the door opened to a laughing Sidney and Gigi. Gigi almost tackled them when she saw them. They laughed at this.

"Okay, make way. Where's the belly? Aunt Gigi wants to say hello to the baby!" Gigi kneeled down and started talking to Lizzie's stomach.

"Okay, no more talking to the baby." Everyone started laughing. Sidney shook Darcy's hand and kissed Lizzie on the cheek.

"I won't talk to your stomach, trust me. How are you doing?"

Lizzie answered honestly. "I freaked out a little this morning but I'm good now. I heard about the fight with your uncle. How are you?"

"I was a little angry but I'm okay now. Actually, we wanted you guys to be the first to know that we are moving San Francisco." Lizzie jumped at this and hugged Gigi.

"Yay! Now I can see you all the time! Darcy really misses you."

Darcy began to blush deeply and looked flustered until he started to offer to help them bring their bags upstairs. Lizzie thought this was odd because usually it is like World War III just to get Darcy to pick up his wet towel off the bathroom floor. Gigi followed him upstairs while Lizzie gave Sidney a tour of Netherfield. It was still weird that after all of these years of coming to spend Thanksgiving at the Bennets, he'd never been to Netherfield.

"So William, how is it now that you're going to be a dad?"

Darcy was stuck between lying to his sister and telling her his real fears. After all of these years with Lizzie, his training was clearly paying off.

"Honestly, Gigi, I'm a little… frightful that I will fail my child and they'll never trust or believe in me again. See what happened when I couldn't protect you and Lydia from the scheming George Wickham."

His face morphed with disgust.

"My biggest fear is that this baby is going to be a girl. What if my precious, darling baby girl falls in love for the first time with someone like George Wickham? How can I possibly protect her when he breaks her heart because she has more than others?"

Gigi sat her brother down on the bed and she leaned her head on his shoulder. Darcy visibly relaxed.

"Do you want to know what I think, William?"

He looked at her and nodded.

"I had two dads growing up, if you didn't know. The first one was… the most generous, warm-hearted person I'd ever known. The second one was the exact same. But this one, people didn't understand. His will to protect everyone by any means was massively overshadowed by the 'by any means' part. Sometimes it made him look like the bad person. But he wasn't. He is the best person I know. William, you did protect me from George. You opened my eyes to the real person he was. I had just lost my first love and you were the reason he left. I was also young. So I did what any young girl in love would do, take it out on you because he wasn't there anymore. And I'm pretty sure Lydia can say the same thing. That could have been worse. Don't be so hard on yourself. You're gonna be a great dad. I know you were to me."

There was a light knock at the door. Lizzie peeked her head in.

"Hey, Jane and Bing are here. They got here as soon as you guys got upstairs. I was going to give Sidney the tour and then they walked in and when Jane found out that was about to happen, she shooed me off and sent Bing to do it. She said something about me not exhausting myself out so I'm here to help."

Gigi got up from the bed and said, "Well, we're actually done here so why don't we go for a drive or something? William can check on work like I know he is dying to do."

Lizzie smirked at him. "Not unless he wants to break our little agreement. He can stay here and hang with Bing and Sidney. I'll get Jane and maybe we can stop by my parents."

Gigi's face was still stained with disgust by the slight overshare of information but nodded and grabbed her keys.

When they walked out the room, Lizzie turned to Darcy and kissed him lightly. "This baby will always be protected by us. I kind of overheard your conversation with Gigi and you heard what she said. You're gonna be the best dad ever. Just like you told me earlier, we're in this together."

Darcy turned the corners of his mouth up slightly and kissed Lizzie again. "Tell your parents I said hello and be safe."

Lizzie nodded and made her way outside of Netherfield after hearing Gigi call for her. Lizzie sat in the back seat and cooed over Harper. "Jane, I swear she gets cuter every time I see her. Mom is probably going to snap so many pictures of her."

Jane giggled. "Yeah, she is pretty cute. Gigi, how have you been?"

Gigi smiled and answered. "I've been amazing. Between moving back to San Francisco and wedding planning, I've been busy but extremely happy."

"That's amazing! I didn't even know that you were moving back to San Francisco. There has been so much going on with everyone lately. It's great to just be together, catching up. I wish Lydia was here."

Lizzie piped up at this point. "Yeah, I miss her too. I spoke to her before I got here and she said don't be lame. I figured that she knew we'd miss her."

Jane laughed at this. They spent the rest of the car ride talking and laughing until Gigi pulled up to her parents' apartment. They exited the car and walked up to the door and knocked. When the door was flung open, they were greeted by squeals. "Someone hand my grandbaby to me!" They walked inside the apartment and went into the living room, where her dad was sitting.

"Oh, hello girls! I didn't expect to see you all until tomorrow at Netherfield. What brings you here?"

He arose from his chair and hugged each one of them while Mrs. Bennet walked in with Harper in tow.

"Look dear, it's our adorable grandbaby! And to think, we will be having another one soon! Isn't that exciting? Lizzie, you shouldn't be on your feet."

Lizzie rolled her eyes at this. "Mom, I've only been standing for like 5 minutes. I'm okay."

Mr. Bennet now held Harper and he was melting. Lizzie almost started tearing up just watching this. Damn hormones.

It was Thanksgiving and everyone was gathered in the dining room, currently marveling at the beautiful turkey currently sitting in the middle of the table. Her dad was carving the turkey while everyone dug into the side. Mrs. Bennet took this opportunity to speak.

"You know, it is truly wonderful to have everyone here. I know we are missing Lydia and she is spending the holidays with her wonderful fiancé but it is always lovely to have our growing family come together." At this she looked at Harper and Lizzie.

"Here's to many more." She raised her glass of wine and everyone raised their glasses of assorted drinks.

After a dinner highlighted by Harper spitting up on Jane, the family gathered in the sitting room and began a competitive game of charades.

For someone that had so many issues communicating in the past, Darcy was excellent at charades. Note that it is also a bad idea to team him up with Mrs. Bennet. They didn't even need the rest of their team because they were freaking fantastic.

Everyone else got tired of either losing or just being background players to the two person tandem so they sat around, talking in smaller groups. Lizzie was sitting in a chair, two seconds from falling into a turkey induced coma, when Darcy came and whispered in her ear:

"All of that fear for nothing, right?"

Lizzie jumped slightly and then leaned her body on his.

"I'll admit; I was freaking for no reason. This was pretty good."

She stopped for a second before continuing.

"I don't really tell you this often but I should start. I'm really happy and that is all because of you. So thank you my darling husband for making me the happiest person in the world."

Darcy blushed. "Actually, you aren't the happiest person in the world. That would be me. You are giving me this wonderful gift," he placed a hand on her stomach, "and I am so thankful for that."

He placed a light kiss in her lips and she looked at him with sparkling eyes.

"Hey, I just got this amazing idea. Do you want to help me with it?"

Darcy nodded at her and she called Bing and Jane over.

An hour later, after her parents left Netherfield, Lizzie was all set up in the sitting room.

"Now are you sure you're okay with this, Darcy?"

Darcy wrapped an arm around her. "I am perfectly fine. I knew that when first began our courtship that you share a large part of your life with those on the internet. It is just one video and they took the other ones well."

"Oh, so this has nothing to do with the fact that I'm in full violation of our agreement."

Darcy smirked at this but didn't answer.

"Jane, are you sure you want Harper seen all over the internet? I know this is my crazy idea but you don't have to go through with it."

Jane gave her a look that said "Lizzie, don't be ridiculous." Okay, that was Lizzie's sign to start.

I sighed and leaned forward to press the record button. "Hey out there. I know it has been a very long time since I uploaded those videos for Dr. Gardener's class. But my life has been so… amazing lately. I knew I couldn't live without updating you all. You guys remember Jane."

Jane waved at the camera. "It's great seeing you all again… not that I can actually see you all… I guess you know what I mean. This little ray of sunshine is my daughter Harper Lee."

Lizzie could practically hear the internet exploding. "And if you are wondering about me," Darcy came into frame and sat next to me. "My name is Lizzie Bennet-Darcy and I am pregnant with my first child."
