Chapter 6
Ash and his friends are walking from Vermillion City to Ash's home of Pallet Town and are almost there when Iris asks "So, Ash, what's your mom like?"
"She's real nice, loves taking care of people and Pokémon alike, oh and she's and amazing cook, not that you aren't Cilan"
"I get it, there's nothing like home baked food. So are we almost there?"
"Uh-huh, we'll be able to see Pallet Town over that next ridge, right Pikachu?"
"Pika"
Not long later, the gang arrives at the ridge that overlooks Pallet Town.
"We're home Pikachu"
"So this is Pallet Town"
"Yeah, that's my house right there" says Ash, pointing.
"Which means that building in the distance must be Professor Oak's Laboratory, oh I can't wait to meet him in person"
"I can't wait to see my Pokemon, but first we'd better go home, c'mon, I'll introduce you to my mom"
Ash then races off with Pikachu on his Shoulder, leaving Iris and Cilan behind him.
"Hey, wait up"
Iris and Cilan then run after their friend. A few minutes later Mr. Mime is sweeping up outside the door of the house when he hears in the distance "Hey, Mr. Mime, it's me, Ash, I'm home"
Mr Mime then looks up from his work, sees Ash and says "Mr, Mr. Mime"
Ash and his friends then walk up to the house and Ash greets Mr. Mime before following him inside, the later then calls for Mrs Ketchum, who, upon seeing her son standing there, goes over to him and says "Oh Ash, it's good to see you".
"You too mom, anyway, mom, Mr. Mime, I'd like to introduce you to my two friends from the Unova region, this is Iris, she's training to be a Dragon Master and this is Cilan, he's a Pokemon Connoisseur, guys, this is my mom".
"It's nice to meet you Mrs Ketchum"
"You too Cilan, oh and who's this little guy?" asks Delia, noticing Axew poking its head out of Iris's hair.
"Oh, this is my trusted partner Axew, Axew, says hi to Ash's mom"
"Axew" peeps the little Pokemon.
"Why don't you all go sit down and I'll bring you a glass of my freshly made Lemonade and some water for the Pokemon"
"That'd be great thanks mom"
"You're welcome honey, it's great to have you home again, and this time, for longer than a few days"
"Mom!"
An hour later, after they had all had a rest, Ash and his friends all got up, to go to Professor Oak's Lab.
"Oh, where are you all going?" asks Mrs Ketchum.
"I was gonna take Iris and Cilan to see Professor Oak"
"What a wonderful idea, give him and Tracy my regards"
"I will, see you later mom"
"Okay, I'll make up your bed and the guest beds also"
"Thank you Mrs Ketchum, you've been really kind"
"You're welcome Iris dear, now go on, I'll see you later, bye"
"Bye" chorus the gang before leaving the house and heading to the Lab.
