Hey guys! Z-Fan100 here again! Sorry it took a bit, but school has not shown any stop in the constant stream in homework. Kinda sucks since I don't have much to do the stuff I want.
This chapter is a bit longer than my other ones, but I hope you guys like it. I try to keep the suspense, but I think I've been leaving you all hanging with how long since I've submitted a chapter. Full duel is in this chapter, so enjoy!
I've updated my profile for those of you who actually read it, but I wrote what kind of stories I might be writing sometime in the near future.

PS: since I worked on the duel mostly at school, they blocked a bunch of sites that would've allowed me to research a deck that a character normally would have used. So there will be a lot of cards that I will be making up because of this. I hope you guys enjoy the duel despite this made up card factor. :)
I was in my second class of the day and I was BEAT! I still had four classes left for the day. For those of you just joining us in my story, we left off in the previous chapter where Jack, Crow, Sect, and I sprinted to our first class of the day to get through the crowd of fans who are our classmates.
Getting to our second class was even more difficult than getting to our first. Right now, Jack is struggling to stay awake, Crow is snoring lightly on his desk, Sect is reclined in his chair with his head hanging, while I was keeping an eye on a few of our classmates(who looked like they were trying to find a reason to scoot near us). Thankfully, the four of us shared the same class(if you couldn't figure that out by now). Safety in numbers you know.
The teacher was droning about trap cards and rulings of certain situations. Thankfully, he didn't seem to notice the half-dead kids in the back of his class that were struggling to stay awake. I frowned when the girl in glasses looked back at us for like the fiftieth time in the past five minutes. Her brown hair and huge glasses looked familiar...but why?
Suddenly, the lights and power turned off. Everyone (even my half-dead and [supposedly asleep] friends) were immediately upright and looking around. I looked out the window of our classroom and noticed that clouds covered the sky. Wasn't it a sunny day today? And since when are clouds...blood red? A burning sensation occurred on my arm as my mark glowed brightly illuminating the room.
A few people gasped at my mark and I could feel Akiza again. Just like that time when I defeated Sayer. She felt close..., but isn't she at the beach-? The door to the classroom opened up suddenly. There, panting from what I could feel as a sprint, was Akiza with her mark glowing as well.
"We have a problem, Yusei," Akiza said telepathically.
I walked out into the hallway with her leading the way to get out of the room of my wide-eyed classmates, surprised at seeing the "Black Rose" again. Even my teacher, who rarely shows any emotion, was surprised with his jaw at the floor and eyes bugged out. I would have laughed if it wasn't a reaction toward a friend who was dead serious and...worried.
I stopped when we reached the end of the hallway and turned to her. "What's the problem?"
"Not so loud!" Akiza looked around worriedly.
I sighed, knowing that Akiza was still paranoid about being close to other people (not blaming her since a lot of my classmates were congratulating me on beating the "monster" a.k.a. Akiza when she was the Black Rose ).
"What's the problem?" I repeated telepathically.
"Your father detected some sort of energy burst in a desert nearby here. Then that energy started to move towards Domino City." I felt her worry begin to increase. "Your father predicted the...trajoct-"
"Trajectory." I corrected.
"...Trajectory to Domino High School."
"What?! Why?!" A burst of energy, moving here? How is that possible? As my father would tell me on some theories: scientifically impossible. That burst of energy must have caused the blood red clouds, but that doesn't explai-
"Yusei!" Jack, Crow, and Sect were out of the classroom now running toward Akiza and I.
In response, Akiza shrank behind me. When my friends joined us, Crow was the first to talk.
"What the-why is Akiza here?"
Jack and Sect's eyes widened. "That's Akiza, the Black Rose?"
Akiza gripped the back of my shirt tightly, scared. "Uh, guys? She doesn't go by that anymore, so she's a little sensitive about that title now."
"But still, her deck was mighty that many people feared her." He stepped around me to eye Akiza, who tried to hide herself deeper into me. "Hard to see that now. Guess it's a good thing since many people don't think highly of who you used to be. I don't blame you for that a-hole taking advantage of you. Probably would've happened to me too if a better opportunity presented itse-"
Jack suddenly looked shocked and afraid, something that I've never seen till now. He was staring right behind me. Noticing that Crow and Sect shared his shock and fear. I turned and I couldn't believe what I saw.
The being that stood a few feet away was completely made of fire. It was skinny and short with a tail that reminded me of the devil. It wore an impish grin on it's face with white eyes. It laughed at our expressions, chilling me to the core.
"RUN!"
I don't know who said it, but all of us were running back to our classroom, with Akiza holding onto my arm as we ran. When we were a few strides from the door, a wall of flames flared up from the ground.
I turned and froze when I saw the fire-imp a few feet away, laughing like a maniac.
"What are you?" I asked, trying to ignore my fear.
It stopped laughing and instead grinned maniacally. "I am the Familiar of the Red Nova! The arrival of two signers have awakened my master and I will carry out the ritual of one that the Red Nova has deemed worthy to sacrifice in a duel so he can reawaken and bring havoc to this world!"
"If it's a duel you want, it's a duel you'll get!" I activated my duel disk.
The Familiar looked bored. "The Red Nova has not deemed you worthy to sacrifice, boy." The smile widened and pointed to Jack. "He has deemed HIM worthy to sacrifice!"
"WHAT!?" Jack began to back up, but the Familiar shot out a red rope that wrapped around Jack's arm. When I reached for the rope, I realized it was a snaked when the head hissed, baring it's fangs as it's yellow eyes stared at me like I was it's next victim.
Jack growled as he tried to pull on the rope to get the Familiar off of his feet, but that guy was rooted to the floor. "I'll never duel y-!" A snap from the Familiar and Jack's duel disk appeared on Jack's arm from thin air in duel mode.
"You will duel me whether you like it or not! And to make sure no one can interrupt our duel…" Another snap of the Familiar's fingers, both Crow and Sect (who were circling without my notice till now) collapsed to the ground, snoring. "Shadow Duel START!"
Jack swore. "I don't know what the devil you are, but I'm gonna make you regret challenging Jack Atlas!"
"DUEL!"
Jack LP: 4000
Familiar LP: 4000
"I'll start off first human!" The Familiar drew a card and cackled maniacally. "With this hand, you're fate is sealed and my Master will arise!"
With how loud the Familiar was talking, I realized students were watching from the classroom doors, shocked by the Familiar's fiery appearance.
"Well?!" Jack glared around. "What are you all staring at? A bloody monster is dueling me, and you're still here? RUN AS FAR AWAY FROM HERE!"
A few people hesitated, till a teacher hysterically talked into a walkie talkie about the situation. Almost immediately, the principal no too calmly announced to evacuate the school.
Chaos ensued as students as well as teachers ran down the hallway, away from Jack and the Familiar. I had to fight through the mob to get to the sleeping figures of Crow and Sect, with Akiza helping.
In no time, everyone was gone, except for the girl with glasses from my class who had a camera in her hand. Why-?
Jack's voice pierced through my thoughts. Despite the mob, the duel was still going on. Jack's school attire looked a bit singed but otherwise he was okay.
Familiar's field: LP: 4000

"Big Piece Golem attacks your Raging Flame Sprite in ATK mode!"
"I use a Trap Card!" cackled the Familiar. "Eternal Flame! This allows me to make one of my Pyro invincible in battle as long as this card remains on the field, and it halves the battle damage that involves the monster! However, I'll use my Defense Draw so that I take no damage and I get to draw one card from my deck!"
An explosion ensued as Raging Flame Sprite dodged Big Piece Golems attack, causing the attack to hit the floor instead. Jack looked surprised when he noticed the crater, as did I(or was I feeling Akiza's emotions?).
"Damn it! I set two cards face down and I'll end my turn!" I noticed Jack's hand was shaking a bit, from fear or probably frustration. Maybe a bit of both, I thought ruefully, remembering myduel with Sayer.
"I draw! I turn Solar Flare Dragon to defense position and use the Effect of Raging Flame Sprite! This allows this crafty Sprite to declare a direct attack on my opponent! ATTACK MY SLAVE!"
As the Sprite charged Jack, I summoned a shield to surround Jack. I heard a fury of clicks and remembered the brown haired girl. Carly Carmine, the school newspaper photographer who won a few awards with her photographs. She probably wanted to interview us earlier this morning.
Jack LP: 3500 - 3400
Jack gave me a thumbs up, his way of saying "thanks" in the middle of a duel.
"Your friend may have protected you human, but let's see him protect you from Solar Flare Dragon! I set a card and end my turn! Now my dragon deals you 500 points of damage with his effect! Full POWER, SLAVE!"
I strengthened the shield protecting Jack, and gasped as I felt Solar Flare's fireball began to breakthrough the shield. The shield shattered and I collapsed from the effort to keep the shield up, with Akiza catching me. From the pained look in her eyes, she felt my effort to keep the shield up.
""ARGH!" JACK!
Jack LP: 3400 - 2900
The fire now spread on his clothes and began to burn him more. Quickly, I summoned another shield and manipulated it in a way that separated Jack from the fire.
Jack looked up, his face burned a bit. "That's it. Now I'm mad! I draw! I attack your Raging Flame Sprite with Big Piece Golem!"
"Jack! NO! He has a face-!"
The Familiar smiled wickedly. "You fool! You fell right into my Trap! I activate Magic Cylinder! With this your attack is negated AND you take Damage equal to your monster's ATK points!"
Big Piece Golem disappeared in a cylinder and charged out of the second cylinder toward Jack engulfed in flames. I brought up another barrier but BPG broke through it easily with such force that I felt my body drain completely of energy.
"Yusei!" My fall to the ground was stopped as the drain forced my body to sleep. I could feel Akiza extremely worried. Worried about me. Why? The question drifted in my head as my eyes closed.
Jack LP: 2900 - 800
"Argh!" For the first time in my life I was scared. The flames burned as my skin and my clothes were disintegrating as I kneeled. I've never felt such pain before in my life and now because of my power strategy I was going to die.
I could hear that damn Familiar laugh as he talked about the revival of his master. Can't allow him to do that. If his master is more twisted…
A booming voice filled my head. "JACK ATLAS, THIS MONSTER YOU ARE FACING IS A FOLLOWER OF AN EARTHBOUND IMMORTAL. HE NEEDS TO BE STOPPED RIGHT NOW IF YOU DEFEAT HIS FOLLOWER AND USE BURNING SOUL ON THEM. WILL YOU ACCEPT THIS OFFER TO OBTAIN NEW POWER FOR A BETTER CHANCE TO WIN?"
"I...will...accept...NOW!" I stood ignoring the pain of the flames. "GIVE ME THE POWER TO DEFEAT THIS BASTARD!" My voice was joined in with the voice in my head, now speaking in unison with me. "I USE THE TRAP CARD DAMAGE BEACON! WHEN I TAKE DAMAGE FROM A CARD EFFECT I CAN SPECIAL SUMMON A TUNER MONSTER FROM MY HAND AND INSTANTLY SYNCHRO SUMMON! COME FORTH FLARE RESONATOR!"
Flare Resonator: Tuner ATK:300 DEF:1300
"DRAGON OF CHAOS AND FLAME, COME FORTH TO THIS WORLD AND SHAKE THE HEAVENS WITH YOUR BURNING ROAR! SYNCHRO SUMMON! RED DRAGON ARCHFIEND!"
Red Dragon Archfiend: Synchro ATK: 3000 DEF: 2000
I slammed a blank white card on my duel disk, and the image and effects shimmered into appearance. A crimson dragon appeared on my field roaring at the Familiar. I felt strength now even though I had no idea what was going on. The flames no longer were hurting me, but instead seemed to be a...part of me. The flames that burned my skin now just felt like a warm breeze that I could turn on and off.
The Familiar though looked scared. "WHAT!? No! Not that dragon!" I turned the flames off that was on my body. The familiar white eyes widened in shock. "HOW?! Those were the flames of Red Nova himself!"
I clenched my fist. "That isn't important. What IS important is that Flare Resonator gives 300 ATK to the Synchro Monster that used it as Material to Summon it."
Red Dragon Archfiend: ATK:3000 - 3300
"Then, I use another Trap! Synchro Strike! This gives Red Dragon Archfiend 500 ATK for every material used to bring Summon it."
Red Dragon Archfiend: ATK:3300 + (2 x 500) = 4300
"This can't be! My master will rise!" The Familiar looked like he was trying to get the snake around my arm to come back. The snake, however, tightened its grip. "Even if my master cannot rise, the other Earthbound Immortals will arise with their hosts!"
I could feel the voice come back again and we spoke in unison again. "RED DRAGON ARCHFIEND, ATTACK RAGING FLAME SPRITE AND ABSORB THE FAMILIAR ALONG WITH HIS MASTER! GO! ABSOLUTE BURNING SOUL!"
My right hand went to my chest over my heart and my hand caught on fire. I could feel Red Dragon and I connected, and I knew he was waiting for my order to attack. I raised my burning hand and swiped my hand through thin air, while Red Dragon copied my motion and swiped both Raging Flame Sprite AND the Familiar. With a scream, the Familiar disappeared as Red Dragon absorbed it.
I inhaled sharply as I felt a great amount of power surge through me. Red Dragon Archfiend roared in triumph as he faded, the result of my duel disk powering down now that the duel was over. I looked down at the mark on my arm, which looked like a "V" with lines protruding from the top.
"CONGRATULATIONS, JACK," boomed the voice in my head. "YOU HAVE NOW OBTAINED THE POWER OF THE RED NOVA'S FAMILIAR. IN TIME RED DRAGON ARCHFIEND WILL BE ABLE TO USE THIS POWER, BUT IN THE MEAN TIME BE AWARE OF THE FAMILIAR'S THREAT. THE RED NOVA WAS THE FIRST AND IS THE OLDEST EARTHBOUND IMMORTAL, BUT IT IS ALSO THE WEAKEST WHEN IT DUELS THROUGH A HOST. YOU MAY HAVE STOPPED HIM NOW, BUT HE WILL RETURN LATER."
Great, I thought grimly. I have to face that guy again.
Of course when all the action died down, Crow and Sect woke up. Akiza's sitting form was holding Yusei's unconscious head in her lap, crying as she looked at his face.
I crouched down checking for a pulse. "What happened!? He was awake at the beginning of the duel."
Akiza tried to speak through her sobs till she saw my glowing mark."He was trying to protect with with his powers," her voice filled my head. I jumped, surprised to hear another voice in my head.
"What the-?! How can she do that!?"
She glared at me. "I can hear you! The marks on our arms somehow allow us to communicate telepathically. We'll have to call his dad."
"His DAD knows about this?!" Akiza nodded. "Yusei rarely shares much of what he does with his parents. He must really need help with this mark thing if he needs his dad."
I heard police sirens in the distance and I knew that Akiza sensed that we needed to get out of here immediately. We both got underneath one arm and carried him outside of the school with Crow and Sect trying to catch up when we turned the corner.
A few hours later...
The duel was all over the news, with pictures of the duel(who took the pictures, I look horrible in fire!) and frantic people who saw the duel trying to recount as much of the event that they saw.
I turned the TV to the hospital room off. I was suddenly thankful that Yusei's dad could get a hospital room with no one questioning him. Especially since Yusei hasn't woken up at all.
I rolled up my sleeve and looked at the mark on my arm, which stopped glowing on the way to the hospital. Yusei's mark still burned brightly. "Any idea what this mark means, Akiza?"
Akiza was by Yusei's side the entire time and reminded me of a scene from a love story that I had to watch on a date a week ago.
She looked up at me and was about to speak when our own marks lit up again and I felt a tugging sensation in my head as if my consciousness was leaving my body. Akiza felt scared as she experienced the same thing that was happening to me. Wait. How can I feel how she…
I didn't finish that thought as I felt myself leave my body.
Author's Note:
I hope you guys liked the adding of Red Nova and his Familiar in this chapter. For reference, these two first appeared in Yugioh 5D's season 2 episode 111-113 in English Sub only due to the deck that Familiar of Red Nova used and the worshipping through temples. It also has the debut of Red Nova Dragon in episode 113.
I'm not sure when I'll be finishing the next chapter but I'll give a spoiler by saying that Luna and Leo will appear with Power Tool and Ancient Fairy next time (that chapter will be influenced by the manga).

The plot is nice, but you are very fast on explaining and resolving things, like Akiza who suddendly forgave her parents. In the anime she decided to trust them again after a lot of tries. But I liked the idea of how Yusei got Stardust. Just don't run and this story will turn out even more awesome!
It's cute! I want to read more to see how you're going to handle Yusei's parents! I love his dad!
Thanks VanizKai for the advice, I'll try to pace the story from here on out. I actually got the idea from one small part in Highschool DxD (The part where Issei gets revived. I'm not adding demon ladies or anything in this story lol. A good friend showed it to me against my will XD).
Yusei's parents honestly are very difficult when I put them into the story since we know a little of Yusei's dad, but no information about his mom other than a brief picture of her in the anime. I might include parents for Jack, Crow, and Sect, but I'm not sure at this point. I know I'll give Crow a little brother (Yoshi from the manga), but it will be difficult since I'll try to find one way for the parents to look physically similar to each of their respective children.

I can't believe it you used the manga and the show characters I would use the same thing if I were good at duels like you and everyone else.
Thanks, Foxen. While brainstorming I thought about adding a few characters from the manga(the manga is super awesome like the anime). I might add a few elements from the manga later on in the story involving the manga versions of the Signer Dragons (known as Duel Dragons in the manga for those of you who haven't read the manga). The only reason why I'm good at duels because I actually play and understand the card game, so it's easier to understand the rules, effects, and the plays the characters do. However, I mostly get the duel and card explanations from Yu-Gi-Oh! Wikia episode explanations that explain the moves and lifepoints in a duel (hint for anyone who want to improve duel explanations in their fanfic stories, I have the link to Yu-Gi-Oh! Wikia in my profile).
I am totally unsure of how long it will take to get the next chapter out as it took months, piece by piece to get this chapter completed, working on it during school and home. The story hasn't ended if it seems I haven't been on for a while, so don't worry. :)
My other story, "Fight for the Title" will continue, I am researching into the next actions of the duel between Yugi and Kaiba. Meanwhile, "True Love" will probably not get any more additions anymore since I kind of lost drive writing those kind of stories.

I looked into her eyes as tears streamed from them. I understood how she felt even though my mark was not glowing. I leaned forward towards her, but before I could reach her, the wall exploded revealing two dragons. One armored with yellow metal and equipped with a drill bit and a scoop. The other dragon was light blue with wings that reminded me of a fairies.
"YUSEI FUDO! JACK ATLAS! PREPARE TO LOSE TO OUR DRAGONS!"
