Narrator POV
"Cat, are you okay?" Tori asked the distressed red head.
Cat didn't come back after she talked to Robbie. She ran to another room where she could cry alone.
"N-No…" She sniffled.
"Cat, what's wrong?" Tori asked, sitting next to her on the couch.
Cat looked at her as if she was stupid.
"You really care about him, huh?" Tori sighed.
"I-…I love him Tori…" She sniffled.
Tori cringed. "Really?"
"Stop! You are the reason for all of this!" She cried.
"Wait, how am I the reason?" Tori asked.
"Not just you…but everyone." She sniffled. "Why can't things just be normal? What makes Robbie different than anyone else? What, because he's in the tech club?" She asked.
Tori thought about it. Cat did have a point. But Tori couldn't control it. It was just how things worked in their social group.
"I'm sorry Cat…" Tori apologized. "You're right."
"It's just not fair…" She sobbed into her hands. "Why can't I just be happy for once? You've seen the guys I date. None of them even come close to how Robbie makes me feel, Tori." She said, looking up at her.
"Then just go for it." Tori suggested.
"Really, Tori? You know what's going to happen if we walk into school Monday holding hands. It's not even like I care about what everyone will think. I just…I want the relationship to be enjoyable. What's the point if we hate going to school every day because of it? I don't want to go into it then have it be ruined." She said sadly.
Tori sighed, knowing she was right. There wasn't anything Cat could do about it. Sadly, that was how things worked. Cat was popular. She dated most of the football team, and some of the hockey team.
Cat wasn't a slut. She just wanted to be loved. And every time she entered a relationship, the guy would take things too far and Cat would call it off. It was like a routine.
"And now I have to avoid Robbie until we leave…" Cat muttered.
"Why do you have to avoid him?" Tori asked, confused.
"Because if we get close it will only be harder to say goodbye."
"Yeah but…" Tori thought about it. "You can also enjoy the time you have left of actually being together." Tori pointed out.
Cat thought about it. "But it's going to be so hard leaving today…" She pondered.
"Think about it this way. Robbie is like an ice cream cone on a boiling hot day. In the end, you know the ice cream will melt, so you might as well eat it as much as you can before it does." She smiled proudly at her theory.
Cat giggled. "So what you're saying is…I should eat Robbie…until he melts?" Cat laughed harder.
Tori turned red. "You know what I meant!" She laughed. "I mean, unless you're into that." Tori teased.
"Well, have you seen those lips?" Cat asked. "They're irresistible!" She giggled.
"Did you guys really hook up?" Tori asked, referring to what Jade had mentioned earlier.
Cat blushed. "Yeah…" She said giddily. "He's such a good kisser too." She smiled.
"Really?" Tori asked surprised.
"Yeah and he's such a gentleman. He didn't even touch me inappropriately in any way." She told her.
"Really?" Tori asked, now shocked.
Cat nodded.
…
"You alright man?" Andre asked as he and Beck sat next to Robbie on the table.
Robbie shrugged. "I don't know…" He mumbled. "I blame myself for being such a loser."
"Hey, don't be like that. You're not a loser. It's just the way things are. It's quite sad actually." Andre said.
"Yeah." Beck chimed.
Robbie looked at him weird, being he was probably one of the most popular guys in school.
"I feel bad for you." He said. "You look like you really care about Cat."
"I love her…" He muttered. "And she loves me back!" He said annoyed by everything.
"That must suck…" Beck said.
"You're not helping." Andre said.
"Well, I mean I really care about Jade." He admitted. "It's probably not that obvious but if I was being forced to go into school Monday and act like I didn't know who she was, I would be pretty crushed too."
Robbie just sighed, burying his face in his hands.
"Robbie?" He heard her voice call from behind him. He immediately stood up, turning around.
Cat ran towards him, jumping into his arms before kissing him full on the mouth, in front of all of them.
She pulled away after a few seconds to see Robbie's confused face.
"I'd rather us be together for the time we have left, then not be together at all." She said, answering his silent question.
He smiled from ear to ear before leaning down and kissing her again.
Tori and Andre clapped while Beck wolf whistled and Jade just rolled her eyes, a small smile on her face.
"I'm going to miss you so much…" Robbie muttered, resting her forehead against hers.
"Stop. Don't start." She told him. "We can have our goodbyes later. But for right now, let's just do this…" She trailed off kissing him softly.
"They're actually…perfect together." Tori said.
Andre nodded in agreement before something caught his eye.
"Hey, what's in there?" He asked, looking over at a glass window that led to a different room.
"I don't know. I'm not in here much." Tori shrugged, following him over there.
"Woah…" Andre said, opening the door. "It's like a little studio." He said happily, looking through the different CDs.
"Put a CD in." Tori said.
Andre nodded. As soon as he clicked play music played throughout the whole library.
It's going down, I'm yelling timber
You better move, you better dance
Let's make a night you won't remember
I'll be the one you won't forget
"Woah!" Andre laughed, walking out with Tori to see the rest of them with smiles on their faces.
Robbie wrapped his arms around Cat from behind before spinning her around and dancing with her in a goofy fashion.
From that point forward, everyone danced.
Wooooah (timber), wooooah (timber), wooooah (it's going down)
Wooooah (timber), wooooah (timber), wooooah (it's going down)
The bigger they are, the harder they fall
These big-iddy boys are dig-gidy dogs
I have 'em like Miley Cyrus, clothes off
Twerking in their bras and thongs, timber
Face down, booty up, timber
That's the way we like to–what?–timber
I'm slicker than an oil spill
She say she won't, but I bet she will, timber
They danced on the tables, ran around, threw books to the floor. They couldn't help but laugh at each other's different, silly dance moves.
Beck danced with Jade, much to her fake reluctance. And Robbie and Cat couldn't help but be adorable the entire time. Robbie would hold her from behind as they swung to the music, whispering cute, funny things in her ear that made her giggled.
Andre and Tori grabbed microphones they found, singing along to the song while dancing with the others.
Swing your partner round and round
End of the night, it's going down
One more shot, another round
End of the night, it's going down
Swing your partner round and round
End of the night, it's going down
One more shot, another round
End of the night, it's going down
Robbie picked Cat up, spinning her around while she giggled uncontrollably. He set her down, grabbing her hand as they skipped around each other. Cat giggled at is dorky dance moves, only falling more in love with him.
They went from room to room without a care in the world, spinning each other around, laughing, and having a good time.
Robbie picked her up again, spinning her around. Not seeing where he was going, he tripped over the coffee table, both of the plummeting onto the couch. Robbie landed beside her, laughing along with her, out of breath.
He had one arm draped around her torso, his head resting on her shoulder. Once their laughs died down he lifted his head to look at her. She smiled at him cutely before using one hand to grab his shirt and the other grabs his neck.
She kissed him roughly, pulling him closer to her.
It's going down, I'm yelling timber
You better move, you better dance
Let's make a night you won't remember
I'll be the one you won't forget
Andre and Tori continued to sing as well as Jade and Beck continued to dance. Beck grabbed Jade's hand, spinning her around a little. She blushed the slightest bit, though trying to hide it by spinning away from him.
Though Beck was slick, spinning her back to him so that her back was pressed against him. He wrapped his arms around her before leaning in and kissing her cheek softly.
"Why'd you do that?" She asked, looking at him.
"Because I knew you wouldn't." He answered, smiling shyly at her.
It's going down (it's going down), I'm yelling timber
You better move (you better move), you better dance (you better dance)
Let's make a night you won't remember
I'll be the one you won't forget (you won't forget)
…
"Do you…have any threes?" Tori asked Andre.
"Go fish." He smirked.
The music now was playing low in the background. Tori and Andre were playing cards while Beck and Jade were just making small talk.
"Hey, where are Cat and Robbie?" Tori wandered out loud.
"Still sucking face over there." Jade chimed, pointing to the room with the couch.
"Still?" Andre asked in shock.
"Well, might as well let them. I mean, it is technically their last day together." Beck said.
"Do you have any fours?" Andre asked.
"Crap…" Tori muttered, handing him over the card.
"So where do you like to eat?" Beck asked Jade.
"Why?"
"So I know where to take you on our date." He smiled cheekily at her.
She rolled her eyes. "Let's hope it goes well for you…" She trailed off, her eyes wandering lower.
"Yeah, let's." He chuckled, getting a small smile out of her.
There was silence and Jade looked up, wandering if her dropped dead or something because usually he never shut up. But when she did look up, he was just staring at her.
"Why are you staring at me?" She asked annoyed.
"Because you're beautiful." He said simply, still staring at her.
She blushed, rolling her eyes. "Charmer."
He smiled triumphantly, knowing that he had succeeded.
"Dang it!" Tori yelled again, handing another card over to Andre.
"Hi." Cat chimed as she walked into the room, Robbie on her hand.
"Well, well, well. What have you two been up to?" Jade teased, knowing it was obvious.
Robbie's glasses were crooked and he had lip stick stains all over his face. Cat's hair was a little out of place and the first few buttons on Robbie's shirt was undone.
"Hehe...nothing." She giggled, making Robbie blush as she pushed him down in one of the chairs before placing herself comfortably in his lap.
She giggled when she saw his face before using her thumb to remove the lip stick from his face.
"Awe man…" Andre suddenly muttered.
"What?" Beck asked.
"We forgot about that stupid essay." He sighed.
"Ugh…" Tori groaned.
"Unless…" Jade trailed off, setting her gaze on Robbie.
Everyone followed her eyes before they got what she was saying. They all smiled at Robbie creepily, hoping he got the hint.
"W-What are you guys looking a-at?" He asked nervously, feeling very uncomfortable.
Cat looked at them, before looking back at Robbie.
"Baby…I think that they are trying to say is that…you should write one essay, for the six of us." Cat explained. "I mean, you are the smartest." She complimented.
"Well…" Robbie waved her off, blushing at her words.
"So you'll do it?" Jade asked impatiently.
Cat shot her a glare, not liking her tone with Robbie.
"Yeah, I'll do it." He smiled lightly.
"Yay! Thanks love." Cat said smiled, kissing his cheek lovingly.
…
Robbie had finally finished writing the essay and he was rather proud of himself. He smiled, reading it over again before kissing the paper, giving himself a pat on the back for his work.
"Hey cutie." Cat said, coming from behind him. "Did you finish writing the essay?" She asked, placing herself in his lap again.
"Yup. I would give it an A+." He smiled.
Cat giggled at his enthusiasm, gently rubbing her nose against his cheek affectionately.
"Hey guys. It's two o'clock!" Tori said happily.
"Woah, really?" Beck asked, grabbing his jacket.
"We can leave. Finally. Let's go." Jade said, grabbing her things as well.
Cat and Robbie felt the pits of their stomachs get heavier as they too grabbed their things and followed the rest of them out the door.
The walk down the hall way was probably the worst. Everyone else was so happy about leaving, when Cat and Robbie wanted to curl up and die. Cat clung to his hand as if her life depended on it as they got closer and closer to the entrance of the school.
Cat could feel the tears welling up in her eyes as Jade opened the big heavy metal doors, letting the sun light hit their faces.
Tori happily skipped to her car, jumping into the passenger seat.
"How was it?" Her mom asked.
"Not that bad actually. I mean, I don't want to do it again but it wasn't too bad." She smiled to herself as her mom pulled away.
Andre's dad was surprised by the smile on his son's face when he got in the car. He figured he wouldn't ask. Which was good because after today, Andre didn't really want to speak to his father.
"Well. I'll call you about that date." Beck winked at Jade before opening his car door.
"Yeah well, be prepared!" She called back to him, smiling as he pulled away, secretly excited.
Cat and Robbie came to a stop at her bike. His mom wasn't there to get him yet, which was good thing, leaving them with more time to say goodbye.
It was quiet at first, both afraid to look at each other.
"R-Robbie…" Cat croaked, tears silent streaming down her face.
"Come here…" he whispered, pulling her into his arms.
They held each other for what felt like forever, Cat silently crying into his shirt, never wanting him to let go of her.
Robbie's mom finally pulled up and they both heard her. Robbie knew cat did when her grip on his tightened. He knew his mom understood not to interrupt, being she patiently waited for him to finish up.
"Cat…" He said softy. "We can't stay like this forever…"
"But I want to…" She cried.
The more wet his shirt became, the faster he felt like he was going to cry too. He held her tighter, trying to stay strong for the both of them.
"Me too Cat…me too." He whispered into her hair.
Finally having enough with the waiting, his mom honked the horn.
"Cat-…"
"I know…" She sniffled, finally looking up at him but never letting go.
She wrapped her arms around his neck, burying her face in the crook of his neck in a bone crushing hug.
"Don't you forget about me, okay beautiful?" He told her, hugging her tightly.
"I could never forget about you Robbie…" She whispered, kissing his cheek tenderly.
"I love you." She said, looking him in the eyes.
"I love you too."
With that he hugged her tightly one last time.
Cat let go of him before turning around and heading to her bike. She cried the whole ride home before going home and crawling into bed, crying herself to sleep.
Never, in a million years, did Cat Valentine think that she would fall in love at a Saturday detention.
