Naruto of the crimson rage
Hey all I've come bearing the gifts the gift of new chapters of my fourth most read story Naruto of the Crimson rage so without further ado I hope you enjoy
Chapter 6
"Naruto pack more then just instant ramen" his ring told him "I am am what are you my mother"
Inside his seal the nine tails snorted at the irony Kushina had brought nothing but instant ramen to her Chunin exam but then again she used her fists and chakra chains as her only weapons
"I'm trying to make sure you don't get killed" his ring nagged "just be careful alright Naruto"
Naruto sighed "don't worry I'm not going to croak until I become Hokage belive it"
"good lord I thought I had broken you of the stupid verbal tic" his ring grumbled "you will never break me BELIEVE IT"
Naruto walked to the gates where a crowd of genin and their senseis were waiting Gao barked and ran over to him wagging his tail were standing "hey Gao" Naruto said rubbing the dogs belly when he rolled onto his back
"Oi Naruto" Naruto looked up to see Gin and Akemi walking over to him "Did you pack more then instant ramen Naruto kun" Akemi asked
"Why do you people keep asking me that of course I did" Naruto said kind of insulted
"Come on Akemi lay off the guy not even Naruto is that stupid" "yeah what Gin said HEY" Naruto shouted the last part as Gao ran over to his owner "Alright" a brown haired Jonin yelled out "all Chunin exam participants we're moving out"
"ready to go Naruto"
"Believe it" said Naruto
After a day of travel the group of a clear cut valley that extended into a circle of for twenty miles the village being surrounded by a seven point star fortification made of light brown stones an iron gate with the symbol for Kusa
"This is Kusagakure" said Kizashi "what do you think"
"it's doesn't look as big as Konoha" said Naruto "it's about half the size of Konoha but it's still a ninja village Naruto plus it'd be near impossible for a large force to attack the village"
"Yeah I guess so" Naruto agreed as the Konoha group entered Kusagakure Naruto looked around at the brown stone green tiled buildings and the dirt roads of Kusagakure
"wow this place is nice"
"it reminds me a lot of home" said Gin 'of course Naruto likes the village here people don't think he's the nine tails reborn' "hey Naruto how about we find a ramen stand"
"What are we waiting for lead the way" Naruto shouted Gin laughed and followed his blonde team mate Akemi sighed "Hey wait for me" Akemi said before running after her teammates
The next day all the participants for the Chunin exam were led to a tower near the edge of the village
When team 1 entered a majority of the genin tried to intimidate them Naruto just smirked covered his right hand in red energy and slammed his fist to the ground making a crater "my name is Naruto Uzumaki and I'm going to beat you all"
'that idiot' was the thoughts of his teammates after his display a laugh was heard "well that was entertaining" Akemi and Gin looked to see a guy about sixteen with silver hair in a ponytail wearing black round glasses a purple sleeveless shirt with a funnel collar over a grey t shirt purple pants and black sandals a Konoha head band wrapped around his head
"I don't remember seeing you on the trip who are you" asked Akemi "oh my name is Kabuto and I'm an old timer not like the kunoichi of the year Akemi Chang"
"are you flirting with my teammate Kabuto san" asked Gin both him and Gao growling at the silver haired teen
"oh not at all Inuzuka san she's too young for my tastes and before you ask you have the fang marks on your face it's kind of obvious your clan allegiance" Kabuto adjusted his glasses before talking
"Anyway as you guys are first timers here at the exams I thought I'd give you some advice you should keep your skills hidden after all a fox without deception is just a red dog"
Akemi reached for the hilt of her sword and Gin got into attack position "oh don't be surprised I was little when that event happened and I have an understanding of Fuinjutsu I was just giving a warning good luck" Kabuto waved before walking off
Naruto walked over "hey guys who was that" Akemi sighed and took her hand off her sword "no one important"
"oh ok I think the test is about to start soon" Naruto said Gin walked over to Akemi "why didn't you tell him" he whispered "I don't trust that Kabuto guy"
"I don't either but Naruto has enough crap to deal with I'll tell him if Kabuto turns out to be an enemy"
"You're messing with fire Akemi I hope you know that" "I do"
Just then a man with blond hair and red tips wearing a Kusagakure flak jacket over a blue shirt and green pants appeared in the room next to him was a brown furred dog "welcome everyone my name is Kosai Testuo"
Across the floor and walls a large blue seal glowed and the occupants of the room appeared around a giant tree "and welcome to the first exam"
"Whoa that's a big tree" said Naruto stating what everyone was thinking looking at the massive tree
"alright here is how the first exam will go you're going to stand upside down from one of the trees branches your objective is to stand on the tree for twenty four hours if you slip you fail if you lose your footing you fail if you get caught cheating well you'll fail any questions"
No one said anything "awesome a Chunin will be going around giving you a slip of paper it has your assigned branch on it you have a minute to get you your branch before the test begins let's get started" Kosai said with a smirk
Team 1 ended up with branch number fifty eight a very very high up branch "well good thing Kizashi sensei two days making sure you had chakra control down eh Naruto" said Gin
"I guess" Naruto sent red chains from his ring that wrapped around his ankles and the branch "just in case"
"Smart kid with those chains of his" the dog said
"I guess so any other interesting candidates besides the Konoha team"
"that team from Benisu Island is doing good it seem they just took out a couple of Iwa teams" Kosai gave the dog a look "what they're not dead anyway there's a team from Ame that I don't like two smell like lizards and the third one some kind of apex predator"
"Right I'll include that in my report anyone else"
"There's a girl with the lava style Kekkei Genkai" "big deal that's the most common Kekkei Genkai in the world"
"She's from Iwa if that changes anything anyway all of the Getsu candidates have failed not a surprise there why do they even have a ninja village"
Kosai shrugged his shoulders "beats me any good candidates from our village"
"Oh yeah Squad Nine so far they're the only ones left in their sector"
"I'm sure the commander will be happy to hear that" Kosai said
Twelve hours had passed and back on branch fifty team one was still standing "I'M SO BORED"
"Naruto try to ignore it imagine the pride you'll feel when you've been given the Chunin rank and the pride in yourself that comes with it"
The males of team one just stared at Akemi "huh just imagine being able to brag to Sasuke Teme when you're a Chunin and he's still in the academy"
"Well why didn't you say so no way am I losing the chance to rub something in Sasuke's face"
"See Akemi you have to keep things simple for Naruto" Gin said another twenty minutes passed and nothing of interest happened until Naruto let his chains dissipate "Naruto you ok why you'd let your chain vanish"
Naruto with a blank look on his face launched two chains at Akemi and Gin the chains of burning blood wrapped around their necks and tried to pull them off
"Gin secure yourself" Akemi stabbed her sword into the tree and Gin used the four legs jutsu to hold himself down Naruto with that look on his face still tried to send his teammates off the branch
"What the hell is wrong with him" Gin asked before coughing
"How the heck should I know Naruto snap out of it" Akemi said in between breaths
Gao walked onto the branch and opened his mouth letting some of his puppy slobber drop from his mouth and into the Uzumaki's nose
Naruto snapped out of it "gah gross dog slobber went up my nose ew it's touching my brain"
"Na ru to" Akemi gasped out "huh Akemi Gin" Naruto vanished the chains "what happened to you guys"
A boy cursed his looks hidden by the leaves on the tree "I thought I had them but that stupid dog's slobber broke my genjutsu"
"Don't worry Shin kun you'll get them next time" a girls voice said
"No they'll be on guard for a genjutsu for now we wait and take them down the next chance we get we clear"
"Clear" the girl and another boys voice said
The next morning about twenty teams were on the ground in front of Kosai and his dog "well congratulations to you all out of sixty two teams only twenty of you have passed Shinyo mind explaining the test"
Everyone watched as the dog cleared his throat "sure hello everyone I'm Shinyo"
"holy crap a talking dog" said Naruto "big deal dogs from my clan can talk" said Gin
"anyways now there were multiple purposes to this test the first being your chakra control anyone with out chakra control shouldn't be a Chunin
now the second was your stamina as Chunin you will be the back bone of your village and will have to take multiple long term missions some back to back"
Shinyo coughed "sorry it's early and I haven't had my coffee yet now the final purpose was to test your assassination skills"
As some of the genins expression Shinyo explained
"my buddy Kosai told you to not get caught cheating a lot of you attempted to cheat whether it was because you figured out our hidden meaning or you didn't care about the rules and cheated a lot of you were caught in the act and the ones that successful in knocking off the competition didn't kill anyone as we had Chunin stationed in the branches to catch them before they fell"
"why'd the dog stop talking" ask Naruto
"Because She'll be here in three two one"
as he said one a volley of shuriken flew at Kosai "wind style gale palm" he said clapping his hand sending a burst of wind that sent the shuriken into the tree
"Well didn't see that coming" said Naruto just then a woman with light red hair that went to her back wearing a purple mid riff shirt black pants with a brown kunai holster on her left leg and sandals landed in between the genin and Kosai
"right on time as usual Aka" Kosai said
"you say that like it's not obvious Kosai Chan" the woman said "don't call me that I'm a Jonin now"
"Aw too bad I miss the cute little genin that would challenge me to spars"
"he grew up now how about explaining the second exam instead of trying to maim me"
The woman turned "sixty genin you went easy on them"
"meh it's a decent crop this year"
"well by the time I'm done only ten will be left welcome I'm Aka Fukano proctor of the second exam for now head back to your sensei's for a day of rest but tomorrow your in for the ride of your life"
And here is where the chapter ends I have a challenge for you all guess which shows the proctors come from the first person who figures it out and sends me a review gets to decide Narutos jonin sensei in my next story here are my rules and then I'll give you the hint
1 has to be a jonin or someone who is at jonin level example Kushina
2 if you pick a jonin who isn't from the leaf give an actual reason why they defected and have joined the leaf
