Hey guys! I'm sooooo sorry for taking forever to update. I slowly faded away from the Harvest Moonness craze I was having. Thanks to fellow authors like vanamyst who followed and/or favorited my story, they brought me back! Also as I was reading back through my story I was appalled by the lack of effort in my former 7th chapter... so here is the new copy!
Since I never did this before... I would like to thank those who followed and/or favorited me!
Lillian could feel Ash straining to sound happy and goofy like he was before. It didn't help that Cheryl would grin deviously at Lillian, probably laughing maniacally in her head. Ash cleared his throat nervously when a motherly looking lady walked up to the three. She was a bigger lady with short blonde hair tied back in a bandanna. She had soft green eyes and a long sleeved blue dress, with striped sleeves. "Hi darlings!" She said sweetly to Ash and Cheryl. Smiling she looked expectantly at Ash, motioning with her eyes towards Lillian.
Acting like before Ash put a goofy grin on his face. "Mom, this is Lillian, she just moved here. Cheryl and I are just giving a tour of the town," he explained.
"Nice to meet you Lillian, you can call me Jessica." The woman said holding her hand out to shake.
"Hi, it's nice to meet you as well," Lillian said, accidentally sounding a little too formal. She chastised herself in her head as she shook Jessica's hand.
"Ash, Cheryl, and I run the livestock store down the way," Jessica said, pointing at a snug looking, red- roofed cottage, with a large fence behind it filled with cows, sheep, and chicken. Inside of the enclosure there was a barn and two silos, matching the main building. "Since your new and probably don't have any livestock yet, why don't you come on by later and pick out a cow for free!" Jessica exclaimed, she had an expectant look in her eyes as she watched for Lillian's reaction.
"Th-that's so kind!" Lillian was awestruck at the free giveaway. She'd have guessed a cow would be expensive.
Ash grinned, "I'll help you choose if you want, I think I know the cow perfect for you," he said winking.
"Thank you so much," Lillian replied in a friendly manner, "I would love that."
Ash's grin just grew wider at Lillian's response, taking it completely different. Cheryl narrowed her eyes at Lillian, somehow, no one but Lillian noticed. "Come on now Cheryl, you have chores to do," Jessica sternly ordered her daughter. Giving one more narrowed look towards Lillian, Cheryl flipped her hair over her shoulder and skipped towards her house. Jessica waved bye and followed after her bipolar daughter.
Turning towards Lillian, Ash asked "so where do you wanna go next Lil'?" Ash asked.
Smiling at her new nickname, Lillian pointed out "kinda hard to choose since I don't know where everyone lives."
"Well there's Eileen, Diego and Enrique, Nathan, and the mayor and Rose," Ash said counting off on his fingers.
"You choose next place," she decided.
"I know the perfect place to go if you wanna laugh," Ash said mischievously he grabbed Lillian's hand and started to run, "follow me!" He yelled, dragging her after him. She smiled and waved as she ran by the flower stand. Cam looked surprised and slowly waved back, a slight smile tugging on the corners of his lips.
I will try and update once a week... at least... Thanks for the support!
