Don't you worry, don't you worry now...

Zach hated to see girls cry. It was the worst feeling in the world, and he knew there was often nothing he could do about it. Still, the man felt compelled to approached the dark-haired young woman and put a hand on her shoulder.

"Hey, Lucinda," he whispered. "Be careful or your make-up will run." The woman laughed ever-so-slightly and rolled her eyes. "What's bugging you, kid?" Zach Zenith was one of the few people in the world who would be bold enough to ask such a question. Then again, he'd also gotten to know her pretty well when she was dating his son.

"I'm a bridesmaid at the wedding of my ex and my baby sister," she practically spat, slapping a hand on her black taffeta dress. "What do you think is bugging me?" Stupid Pandora always got everything she wanted, and it seemed that she wanted everything that Lucinda had.

Taking a deep breath, Zach sat down next to Lucinda and placed an arm around her shoulder. Of course he knew of Lucinda's past relationship with his son Luke, but they left it on pretty good terms... or so he thought. "I'm not going to ask why you two broke up, and I'm not going to ask if you still have feelings for him," he declared simply. "What I am going to do, though, is give you some advice.

"You need to walk out there with a smile on your face, let Luke and Pandora get married, and let the past become nothing more than that. The past. Tomorrow will be a new day, and even though it seems like the world is crashing in on you now, you will be happy. It might not be today or tomorrow or even a month from now, but one day, you will be happy. And all this?" He gestured to the lobby of the hotel the wedding was taking place in. "This won't matter." He gently pet the girl's hair and kissed the top of her head.

"Everything will be fine. Why don't you get yourself cleaned up and get ready to walk down the aisle?"

Lucinda nodded, a true smile on her face for the first time all day.
