Romano took stole the medicine from his backpack, and when he got home he crawled into his closet. He had to use both palms to squish the medicine, snow white sugar on the bottom of his dark closet, white against black.
It makes me happy, Antonio said.
Fuck you, Romano thought.
Can I borrow some money? Antonio asked, guilt-ridden face and frantic eyes. I really need it.
Fuck you, Romano answered, but handed him what he had in his pocket. Antonio was his happy self again the next day.
It's medicine, Romano thought, curling deeper into the closet and blew the snow white sugar from his fingers. It created snow, very light and momentary.
It's medicine, he thought, stealing another pack from Antonio's backpack another day. He was inside the closet again when he got home and created snow powder again.
"It's medicine," He said, blowing his fingers and was content with his own snow globe.
