Hello everyone and welcome back to Kingdom Hearts III!

Ok, so I was originally planning on having this be part of the last chapter, but let's just say, I thought it would be best if this had it's own chapter. Plus, the chapter might've dragged a bit.

But anyway, this chapter's done, and it's time to unveil what most people probably already knew, but hey, in case you had no idea what was coming, sit back and enjoy!

CHAPTER 5

(Lazy Afternoons ~ KH2)

Sora continued to trek through town, noticing some of the shops were open, and that more people were out and about than usual. He continued to walk until he came to the train common area, where he looked around, noticing the sudden lack of people now. It was then he noticed the figure from before, standing in the railway entryway.

"Hey you!" Sora shouted, as he ran toward the figure.

(End Lazy Afternoons)

"Hmph, still so naïve." He heard the figure say, before it literally teleported away as Sora approached the archway. He looked around, wondering where he went to, only to see him now over by the sandlot entry.

"No wonder Xehanort didn't want you." The figure spoke again, with Sora now wide eyed at what he said, followed by massive amounts of rage. Immediately, Sora leapt down toward the figure, summoning his Keyblade.

"Tell me what you know!" Sora demanded, but all the figure did was laugh.

"Please, I'm not telling," The figure said, "Instead, why don't we have a little fun."

(Enter the Darkness ~ KHBBS)

Suddenly, the figure disappeared once more, causing Sora to chase him again. He started to run toward the sandlot. However, as he started to move, he suddenly heard a rumbling sound coming from the direction he was running toward. He paused for a brief moment to figure out what it was, only for the answer to appear out.

Sora looked on in shock as he saw, coming toward him, a humongous swarm of shadow heartless, clumped together in a spiral. Sora, shocked and a bit frightened, turned and ran from the swarm, going as fast as he could to out run them.

He ran and ran, until he jumped up beside the wall beside him, bouncing off of it onto the swarm. He leapfrogged over the shadows until he landed safely onto the ground, circling back around to see his opponent, which was now circulating above him. Without much thought needed, Sora ran toward the swarm, as it began to approach him once more, as he began to slash through the swarm, the heartless dissipating one by one. But once Sora got to the end, the heartless reappeared, though now separated.

As Sora landed back on the ground, the heartless surrounded him, ready to move in. Sora however, stood ready to attack.

(OBJECTIVE: Defeat the Heartless!)

Sora hacked his way through the Shadows as they approached him from all sides. He slashed through the purple smoke left behind as Soldiers and Large Bodies started to appear as well, though they were immediately cut down as well by some shots of Blizzard. They continued to fall over and over again, until the last shadow finally fell.

(End Enter the Darkness)

Once the area was clear, Sora stood triumphantly, trying to catch his breath. As he stood back, seeing the now cleared out train common, he distinctly heard a small sound of sounded like clapping. It was slow, and probably in a mocking way. And low and behold, there he was, as Sora turned around to see the figure leaning up on the higher platform of the archway.

"Not bad at all." He said, as he brought his clapping to a stop. "I can see why people think you're so good."

Sora's rage returned as he dropped back into his battle stance, though the figure didn't flinch. Or at least Sora didn't notice.

"Calm down. You don't want to fight me yet." The figure reminded him. "A war's coming, remember?"

Sora eased up at the mention of this. Even though he didn't want to admit it, this person was right. The Keyblade War is approaching fast, which means instead of wasting time with this mysterious man, he should be out looking for everyone. While Sora thought, the figure took this as no better time than to take off, as he summoned a dark corridor. Sora, taking notice of this, immediately leapt up to the platform.

"Hey, wait!" He called out, as the mysterious figure entered the corridor, with it disappearing as well. Sora dropped his battle stance, now standing normally, as he pondered who this person was. If he was so content with talking about Xehanort, then this person must be one of the thirteen darknesses. And was it him, or did this person's voice sound a lot like his own?

"Sora, hey!" Sora looked around, caught off guard by the sudden voice.

"Down here!" He looked down, only to notice three familiar faces smiling at him.

"Hayner! Pence! Olette!" Sora then leapt down back to the ground as he approached the trio.

(Lazy Afternoon ~ KH2)

"How have you been?" Pence asked.

"We saw Donald and Goofy at the station, so we thought we'd come look for you." Olette explained.

Sora sheepishly smiled, putting his hands behind his head. "I was just looking around. It's been a while since I've been here." Sora explained.

"Oh yeah, that reminds me," Hayner piped up, "Did you ever find Kairi?"

Sora remembered when Kairi eventually came to Twilight Town, when she was kidnapped by Axel. "Yeah, she's ok. Same with Riku." Sora said.

"You found them both?" Pence asked, his eyes widening.

"Yeah," Sora answered, "They're off doing something else at the moment. But this time, I know where they are."

"That's great to hear!" Olette said.

"Yeah," Sora said, "Well, I guess I should get back to Donald and Goofy. They're probably wondering where I am."

"Ok, you take care." Olette said.

"It was good seeing you again, Sora." Pence added.

Sora then inched past the trio as he headed for the station heights.

(End Lazy Afternoon)

"Hey, Sora." Sora turned back around as he noticed Hayner coming back toward him.

"What's up?" Sora asked.

"It took me while," Hayner said, "But I think I know why I thought we had met before." Sora stood puzzled as Hayner continued on. "I can't entirely remember, but at one point, there was another person in our group. You remind me a lot of him."

Sora was a bit taken aback by this. Was Hayner talking about who he thought he was? "What was his name?" Sora asked.

Hayner shook his head. "I can't really remember." Hayner said, "I just remembered this a little while ago. But...I think his name was-"

"Roxas."

Hayner looked back at Sora. "This other guy. His name was Roxas, wasn't it?"

"How do you know him?" Hayner asked.

"Let's just say, Roxas and I, we have a bit of a past."

"Right," Hayner said, as his mood became a bit sadder, "I wonder if I'll ever see him again."

"Don't worry," Sora reassured him, "I'm sure you will."

Hayner looked back up, now with a big smile. "Really?" He asked.

Sora nodded, "Promise."

The two exchanged smiles before Sora turned and headed off in the opposite direction.

Sora continued to walk back up the hill toward the station, once again passing the shops and people in the street. He kept thinking about the mysterious figure he met. This guy was serious bad news. In fact, the mere fact that the thirteen darknesses can set foot in any world spelled trouble. All of the worlds are put at risk if he doesn't do something to protect them.

He then thought back to his first adventure, and how every time he sealed the keyhole, it prevented the darkness from invading the world. Could that mean that if he locked the world's keyholes, he could possibly barrier the worlds from the thirteen darknesses?

As if on cue, a sudden light appeared above Sora, as he looked up to see the world's keyhole, shining brightly for most to see. Sora thought long and hard about this, before deciding that this would be a good idea. Sora then summoned his Keyblade, pointing it at the bright hole, before firing off a beam of light into the hole, releasing a wave of light, blinding Sora.

As the light began to die down, Sora dismissed his Keyblade, as he continued to walk up the hill, now with a determined smile on his face.

(Night in the Dark Dream ~ KHBBS)

The round room was quiet, as only one sat in the chairs. With a disgruntled look on his seemingly bored face, Master Xehanort looked down at his follower, the mysterious figure from before, who was standing in the middle of the circle.

"As you can see, I am somewhat disappointed with you." Xehanort said in his raspy tone.

"Hey, I didn't lie to Saix. I told him I'd only scared him, and I did just that." The figure said defensively.

"From where I was standing, it seems to me you may have done more than just scared him." Xehanort calmly remarked, "Now I fear he may know too much."

"What, from just telling him what he already knows?" The figure asked smartly, only for Xehanort to glare down at him.

"Do not forget your place, Vanitas." Xehanort warned, as the masked boy simply turned and began to walk away, a dark corridor appearing as he did so.

"I'm not the only one who should." He said under his breath as he disappeared through the dark pathway, leaving Xehanort alone in the room once again.

(End Night in the Dark Dream)

Oh, snap! XD

Seriously though , I don't think anyone thought it wasn't Vanitas. Plus, c'mon, who else from the darknesses would torment Sora first?

But anyway, so far, this might've been my favourite chapter to write, as very little happened, yet the stuff that did happen was a blast to write. And of course, I added the other scene from the E3 trailer. (BTW, rumour has it KHIII will be back at this E3. So pumped!)

So other than that, that's about it guys. Remember, if you haven't already, to go to my profile and vote on my new poll, as this one is getting some interesting votes. And finally of course, feel free to comment (No Trolling!) and I'll see you guys in the next chapter!
