The next day, I had a bad day at school. For starters, I noticed something was up with Logan because he won't talk to me.

"That's odd," said Dawn.

"I know," I said. "He's usually tells me why he's mad at me."

"That is very strange," said Kayla.

At Gym, I told Kristy about Logan.

"I know why. I saw Cokie telling Logan about Tonya," said Kristy.

"What?" I asked. "Thank god he doesn't know I was with her all this time. All I told him was she was my tutor for a test."

"That was a smart move," said Kristy.

"You saw me prove it to him when I had an A+," I said.

"Yes, I did," said Kristy.

"My dad and Sharon liked Tonya a lot. Dad understood that I kept my promise and Sharon told me I was a good friend to do that," I continued.

"That's a good thing," said Kristy.

Besides Kristy, the rest of my friends, were the only ones who supported me and sat with me at lunch because they knew what a good friend I am for keeping my promise. Good friends keep their promises. Everyone knows that. Logan doesn't get the message.

"Cokie has one big mouth," said Kaylee.

"I know. What a bad day I'm having thanks to her," I replied.

"I'd be mad if any of my own friends do that to me," said Kayla.

What I didn't mention was that she had cancer when she first moved here, but she won that battle.

Tonya came to join us after getting her lunch.

"Hi," said Tonya.

"Hi," we all said.

"What's going on?" asked Tonya.

"I'm just having the worst day," I replied. "Logan's not talking to me."

"I knew why, too. Cokie told Logan about you," said Kristy.

"What? She told Logan before you did?" asked Tonya. "Cokie should mind her business."

"I know," I agreed.

After school, I walked home with Kayla, Kaylee, Dawn, Meredith, and Carlos. I heard Cokie got a detention for talking about me behind my back during a class. No one cared what she told them. They all knew I'm a good person and good at keeping promises. At home, I was doing homework for about twenty minutes- to help me to forget the worst day- when Dad came home from work early.

I didn't even know he was home until he came up while I was almost done with homework.

"Hi, honey," said Dad.

I looked up smiling and said, "Hi. I didn't hear you come in. I was doing my homework."

"That's alright," said Dad. "How was school?"

"Horrible," I answered as I told him about what Cokie did.

"Yes," replied Dad.

"Isn't that awful? Then I heard she gossiped about me during class time and got a detention for that," I continued.

"Good. That would teach her," said Dad.
