Drabble Challenge: Colors

Rainbow

"Look, Ana. A rainbow!"

She looked, and her scowl faded.

It was late afternoon, and had poured rain all day, until a bit ago when the clouds finally began to break as they approached their sanctuary, where they'd spend some time refitting his ship—his ship!—out of Norrington's way.

He'd manned the helm himself all day, at home in the elements, though she'd nagged and berated him: Go below! Get some rest!

God knew he needed it. But he'd been too long away.

But now, finally, a reluctant smile touched her lips. Her voice softened.

"Seems right, don't it?"
