The girls headed straight to their favorite clothing store, Macy's.

"Did you see what Mina Mongoose was wearing on Friday?" Blaze asked. "Didn't she look great?"

"Mina?" Skylar scoffed. "If you ask me, that shirt was too small."

"I thought she looked wonderful." Amy replied.

Skylar laughed. "You two need to get your eyes checked." she said.

Amy noticed Blaze rolling her eyes at her sister's comment.

"Hey, do you like these shoes?" Blaze asked, holding up a pair of orange shoes with 2 stripes on each of them. "They were just released 4 days ago."

"I love them!" Amy cried, grabbing the shoes for Blaze putting them in a carrier . "I can easily afford them"

"Look," Skylar shouted, "the stuff on this rack are really beautiful."

The 2 girls rushed over, and Amy grabbed a grey sleeveless top. "It's my size an only 15 dollars! I can get 2 of these and a pair of jeans," Amy exclaimed, grabbing a number of expensive items off the shelves.

"Blaze," Skylar said as she searched through the rack, "did you tell Amy about our Halloween party?"

"No, not yet," Blaze replied, examining a lavender ripped top.

"What party?" Amy asked.

"Were having some friends over for Halloween," Skylar explained. "I told Blaze to invite you, Rouge, Cosmo, Cream, and Tikal. We're gonna watch scariest move like Texas Chainsaw Massacre or Wrong Turn series and eat and drink tons of junk food and soda. It'll be great."

"Yeah Amy, you gotta come over," Blaze added.

"We'll see," Amy replied. "I don't know what Sonic's planning that night. He might want to do something."

Blaze rolled her eyes but said nothing. Amy pretend not to notice her reaction.

"Well," Skylar said with a pleasant smile. "Just know you're invited. It's up to you whether or not you come over."

"Thanks," Amy mumbled, trying not to be bothered by Blaze's silence.

For the rest of the afternoon, the girls wandered around the mall buying clothes, listening to music, and eating at the food court. Amy bought three tops (orange, brown, blue) and a pair of gray pants with her credit card, and by the time she got home. Amy went right to right to her room to try on all her new clothings and shoes.

Looking in the mirror, Amy liked what she saw. Her new blue top and grey pants fit her body perfectly. She could hardly wait to see Sonic's reaction when she saw her in them. She went through her entire closet trying on outfits she thought Sonic would like. Amy never thought much of her body. But now as she modeled clothes, she noticed more curves and shapes that weren't there before. Mom was usually the one with more shapes. But now, in her new outfits, Amy could see more of her body guys seemed to gawk at, one that Sonic the Hedgehog seemed to like more.

On Monday, Amy turned in her five songs to Mrs. Rabbit.

"Tell me which one of the five you like," Amy said, "and I'll finish it for the paper."

"Thanks, Amy," Mrs. Rabbit said, taking the song sheets.

She started to read the first song.

"I love this one already," she said smiling. "The handwriting is great and I love what you wrote."

"These are good too," Mrs. Rabbit said, examining each of the lovely songs. "Tell you what, Amy. Finish off the first one, and I'll hold the others for later."

Amy was thrilled Mrs. Rabbit liked her songs. She couldn't wait to share the days had passed before she finally found him at lunchtime in the cafeteria.

"Sonic, you should have seen Mrs. Rabbit loving my songs. She already picked one for the choir to sing," Amy said excitedly.

"Yeah?" Sonic replied. His eyes wandering her sexy body and back to her georgous face. "Amy, you look good today. How about we get together after school?"

"Sure," Amy said, beaming. Her heart pounding in excitement at his compliment. For an instant, she felt completely happy, as if nothing could ever bother her, not Scourge, not Mom, not the boys that flirted at her, not anything. "Where should I meet you?" she asked playfully.

"Your last class is Science, right? So just hang around there, and I'll meet you." Sonic kissed her on the neck and then her lips slowly passionately and added, "Ames, each time I see you, you look beautiful and beautiful."

Amy felt on top of the world for the rest of the day. She couldn't think of anything except going out with Sonic after school. She felt more beautiful in her new blue top and grey pants. She felt like she is a bright star.

After science class, Amy waited in the hall for Sonic. She felt a little foolish when Dr. Eggman came out and noticed her standing there alone. "I'm waiting for someone," Amy explained. After 31 minutes, Amy began to wonder if Sonic had forgotten to meet her.

But he had seemed so excited about getting together. Did he forget?, she thought.

Amy glanced at her watch. Maybe she had misunderstood him. She decided to check to see if he was waiting in his car. Amy hurried out of the school and approached Sonic's blue Nissan. The car was locked, and there was no sign he had been there. Worried that something bad happened to him, she rushed rushed back to the hall outside the science classroom.

Just as she entered the hall, Amy spotted Amy standing against a row of lockers. His arms were crossed, and his face seemed tense.

"Sonic!" Amy called as she came down the hall, "Where were you? I waited here for you-"

"Where were you?" Sonic shot back, anger swirling in his emerald green eyes. "I told you to wait right here, didn't I? I was in the gym talking to the coach, and then I come here and you weren't here."

"Sonic, I waited here a little over a half an hour and then I-"

"Come on." Sonic yelled, grabbing Amy's hand. His hand gloves clamped on her arm.

"We've wasted enough time. Next time I tell you to wait," he growled.

Sonic pulled Amy along so fast she had to jog to keep up. She was a little afraid that if she stumbled, he would drag her all the way through the parking lot.

At the car, Sonic almost quickly yanked open the door on the passenger side and pushed Amy in.

"Get in." he said impatiently.

She could see his pulse throbbing in his neck as he spoke. He seemed to be a completely different person than the one she knew. She half frightened and half attracted to him.

As he circled around to the driver side of the car, Amy noticed a bruise beginning to form where he had grabbed her. Sonic sat down and started the car without a word.

"Sonic, I waited for you for a long time," Amy explained. "I don't know why you're mad. I mean, was I supposed to stand there forever?"

"If there's one thing I can't stand, is a girl who does something stupid and then tries to argue about it. Don't start with me, Amy, okay? Let's just forget about it. I said to wait there, and that's what you were supposed to do. End of story." Sonic said.

Suddenly, Sonic stomped down on the accelerator and rocketed his car through the Station Square High parking lot, nearly sideswiping a black Chevy Camaro ZL1 that was passing the school. Amy looked at Sonic in confusion and stunning. Sonic seemed possessed, as if the person she knew been replaced by someone more alluring spirit.

The brown raccoon, driver of the chevy yelled, "Learn to drive, moron!" as he passed, and Sonic's emerald eyes had orange flames as it narrowed with anger.

"What's his problem? He has another thing coming if he figures he can diss me like that." Sonic said as he raced his Nissan up along the side of the Chevy Camaro and then darted in front of it. The brown raccoon had to slam on his brakes to avoid hitting Sonic's car.

"Sonic, what are you doing?" Amy asked.

He looked over at Amy and chuckled. "Relax, Ames. That idiot was asking for it. Now I got him trapped behind me. He was in such a big hurry, but he isn't going anywhere now."

Sonic cut his speed to twenty miles per hour even though the speed limit was forty. The raccoon blared his horn at Sonic, but he couldn't pass because of oncoming traffic. "I'll bet he's furious," Sonic said. He smirked as he looked at the other car in the rearview mirror.

An angry chorus of horns blared loudly from several cars, but Sonic only laughed harder. "I don't hear a thing," he said, flipping on the radio. Reach for the stars pumped through the car.

They finally reached a cross street, and the brown raccoon in the Chevy Camaro shot out like a rocket, speeding into the intersection and nearly hitting a large truck. Sonic waved mocking at the raccoon as he passed.

Minutes later, they turned into the parking lot of Bruno's. Almost instantly, a big orange truck pulled in beside them. Amy recognized the truck's driver as he started to approach Sonic.

"Hey Hedgehog," Brad the orange echidna, a Station Square High junior and friend of Skylar the cat, shouted. "What kinda fool are you, man? I was the third car in the line. You are gonna get yourself shot one day if you keep that up. Of course, your the world's fastest hedgehog and you can easily dodge bullets," Brad added.

"Hey, Brad," Sonic said. "Don't start lecturing me. That punk dissed me big time, and I don't take that from nobody."

"Hey, you keep acting like that, and you're gonna end up in the morgue with a tag on your toe," Brad sais, shaking his head and returning to his truck.

Sonic looked down at Amy and said, "Let's go eat, Ames."

Inside Bruno's, Sonic ordered a chili dog with extra cheese and a regular hot dog.

"That's what you want a regular hot dog, right?" he said.

"Yeah," Amy said.

As they waited for their their food, Sonic said, Have you seen Brad's girlfriend, Raven the hedgecat? Man, I don't know what the boy sees in her. She's so big, Brad needs that just to drive her around," Sonic snorted. "I'd had nightmares that if I was with a girl who looked like that. But not with you, Ames. You're the kind of girl guys dream about. You look so beautiful in those clothes, you have to wear more like that." As he spoke, he gently pulled her close and kissed her cheeks all over and then hugged her. "When you're near me, I can't take my eyes off of you."

Amy smiled and blushed furiously. Sonic's words were intoxicating. Instantly, they began to melt her away. As she and Sonic continued to talk and cuddle, their argument at S.S.H. faded like a distant memory. Sonic would never ever hurt her, she thought.

"Sorry I acted a jerk back there," he said. "I'm just having a bad day."

"It's okay, Sonic," she replied, still hugging Sonic.

Just then a horn honked out in the parking lot. Sonic let go of Amy and cocked is head as if he recognized a signal. It was two short blasts. "Uh-oh, that's my... cousin. He was gonna let me know about something. Just sit tight. Don't go nowhere while I run out to the parking lot and see him."

Sonic spent about 15 minutes outside. Amy never saw who he was talking to, but she did see a car leaving as Sonic came back inside. It was a dark green new mustang. Amy froze. She had seen a car like that once before in her neighborhood. The last time Scourge the Hedgehog came to the house to take her mother out, he arrived in a new car that he had just bought- a dark green new mustang. Could it be the same car?

"Sorry about that," Sonic said, sitting down next to her with the chili dog in front of him. "I hope this is still warm."

"They just brought it out from the kitchen," Amy said. She could not contain her curiosity about the Mustang. "Sonic," she said, "is your cousin's name Scourge the Hedgehog?"

For a second, Amy noticed an odd expression flash across Sonic's face, but just as quickly, it vanished. "Say what?" Sonic asked.

"The guy who dates my mom. His name is Scourge the Hedgehog. He drives a car like your cousin's car," Amy said.

Sonic's eyes narrowed. "Since when did you become a detective?" he asked. "I don't have a Cousin Scourge, so it can't be the same person." He paused briefly. "Look, Amy, don't go spying on my life. All right? I don't like that. Girls always want to give me static about my friends, and I'm sick of hearing it. Just because I like you doesn't mean you can go checking up on me like an married woman keeping a leash on her husband."

"Whatever," Amy said quietly, surprised and hurt by his words. Just as quickly as he relaxed her minutes before, Sonic made her nervous again.

When Sonic was nice, Amy could not be any happier. But she had never seen this moody side of him before. And now, he seemed to be hiding something. Sitting next to him, Amy did not know what else to say, so she brought up her songs again and how much Mrs. Rabbit liked them.

"That's nice," Sonic said. "So what time you have to be home from school today?"

"Mom gets home around 6:35 today only," Amy replied, looking at her watch. "It's already 5:03."

"Too bad. I was hoping we might go someplace else when we're finished here. That's all right, though. I have other things that I have to take care of," he said, watching cars pass on the street outside the restaurant.

Sonic drove Amy home in almost complete silence. Just before he left, he grabbed her and kissed her. It was a rough, passionate, and almost forceful kiss, one of the many kisses Amy enjoyed from Sonic.

Tired from the day's events, Amy walked slowly slowly to her big house. She was starting to have a great relationship with Sonic. She liked Sonic, and it felt awesome to have a bad boy boyfriend. She especially liked wearing his varsity jacket.

As Amy neared her big house, her thoughts were interrupted by the sound of Mrs. Rabbit's voice.

"Amy?" Mrs. Rabbit called, walking over to Amy's house.

"Hi Aunty Vanilla."

"Hello, dear. I was reading a book when I heard a car noise and I saw you with Sonic the Hedgehog. Would you like to come over for hot cocoa?"

"Okay," Amy said. Her mother would not be home for less than an hour. Amy was eager to talk to somebody.

She sat Mrs. Rabbit's kitchen table, and after fixing some hot cocoa, and drinking them with fancy cups and dishes, Mrs. Rabbit sat opposite of her. Amy could not remember a time when she and her mother just sat together. Whenever they managed to talk, her mother was always distracted by assistant CEO work, make up, or Scourge.

"So, does Sonic the Hedgehog treat you nicely, dear?" Mrs. Rabbit said.

"He's nice... most of the time." Amy admitted.

"What about the rest of the time?" Mrs. Rabbit asked.

Amy decided not to mention the brown raccoon in the Chevy Camaro or how Sonic bruised her arm. Instead she told Mrs. Rabbit about the driving incident.

"He was so angry about the raccoon that he drove really slow in front of him and held up a whole bunch of cars." Amy confessed.

Cream the Rabbit had been sitting over on the couch quietly doing her homework. Amy rarely noticed her until she silently said. "I saw it. I was walking along the street and saw 9 vehicles being held up behind Sonic's car. I thought someone was going to hurt him for driving that way."

"That was really immature of Sonic," Mrs. Rabbit said. "Could have been hurt for something like that."

"I know," Amy said sadly.

"Dear, please be careful, being around with Sonic," Mrs. Rabbit warned. "He can get in trouble sometimes."

As she walked back to her house, Amy thought about Sonic and the brown raccoon in the Chevy Camaro. Will she and Sonic have a future together like she kinda wants right now.
