Well, that was a rough trip. Not much to tell really-things are as they are in Fereldan. Our journey is not as easy going as we hoped; let me just tell you what happened in a list.
First the whole of the land we went through is covered in pockets of bandits and darkspawn so we kept in running in to trouble making the trip quite slow and eventful in way we hadn't wanted. Next we got ambushed by assassins sent by Loghain to stop us; that failed and I took one of them with me.
Zevran was from Antiva and part a group called the Crow-an assassin guild from Antiva, they took a contract to kill us. They might return since it seems these people don't give up so easily.
Zevran enjoyed our company; he told about his time as an assassin as we walked. He enjoyed the perks and the art of killing, and I do have to admit the fight is always thrilling to me. I guess I have a different idea of it though. He is also quite glad to leave the crows because he never had the taste of freedom before.
At last we arrived at Denerim. Security is bad enough in the city that we are able to move around without causing attention to be brought to us. It gave me the chance with the information I retrieved from a man to cause problems to Loghain's allies.
Soon as we got the chance to, we went to see Genitive, only to find him missing. His assistant claimed him to be last at lake Calenhad, looking for something. I couldn't help but think he was hiding something; but there was no time to investigate. We made our way towards the docks, renting some rooms and taking a moment to rest from a long journey when we arrived.
Leliana and I went to the market to by some new armor and weapons. Whilst there I asked her about her being a minstrel. I remembered one time we helped an elf from Orlais on the run, we made her apart of the clan and she was in a way a little sister to me. She told me about people such as Leliana where spies. Anyway, Leliana was a bard and they were members of some game where nobles just caused problems each other.
For many reasons, she left that life; however, they were for reasons she won't say. I can't help but feel sorry for her and wish she would open up more...I just wish we could get closer and care for one another.
As it turns out, the group are big eavesdroppers. They heard about Alistair's secret linage, and now he fells embarrassed. I think he needs to stop trying to hide his past.
I best get some rest as we have a long journey and we need to head back down south to lake Calenhad and possibly to recruit the mages. Time will tell.
