A/N: ...Next chapter will be much longer. By the way, for inspiration, I was watching some of the flashback episodes that Vegeta and Frieza had to better the chapter. I had forgotten that King Vegeta and his son were in Frieza's spaceship during Bardock's assassination attempt of Frieza. Please keep that in mind as I attempt to rectify that.

Vegeta hadn't turned away from the ship to look at the arriving Saiyans who were curious about the commotion. They all seemed to be watching Vegeta, Goku, and his father apprehensively, as though unsure how to react.

"I don't have time for this," Vegeta grumbled. "This was an utter waste of time, Kakarot! This has no relevance to us getting back to our own time at all."

Vegeta was already making his way towards Frieza's ship, not having bothered to see Kakarot's response to his statement. Goku simply settled on shrugging before following after Vegeta and waving his father over. Without hesitation, Bardock followed, without giving the spectating Saiyans a second glance. Once the three were inside, Goku let Vegeta lead the way as he explained the situation in detail with his dad.

"I don't know how to send you guys back. I was just as surprised as you say you were when you popped in," Bardock grunted, glancing around occasionally at the interior of the ship. "Even I hadn't seen this coming," he added offhandedly, causing Goku to blink. They continued to follow Vegeta from several paces behind and Goku made a questioning sound.

"What do you mean, "Seen it coming?" You would have predicted it otherwise?"

Bardock made eye contact with his son shortly before breaking it. "You wouldn't understand. Somehow, I can see the future."

"Believe me. You wouldn't believe half the things I've experienced. I fought a powerful regenerating demon that could turn people into candy."

The elder Saiyan gave his son a questioning look before rolling his eyes. "Point taken." At this point, neither fighter said anything, the silence not quite awkward, until Goku spoke up again.

"Maybe this is why I felt the need to follow you earlier!" he exclaimed smacking his fist into his open palm. "You said you can see the future, right?"

As they continued to walk, Bardock hesitated before answering. "Yeah, what of it?" he shot back, uncharacteristically defensive. Goku noticed this and was silent for a moment.

"What happened?"

"It's none of your business," Bardock dismissed. Out of the few people he felt he could speak his troubles to, an adult Kakarot was probably one of them, but the circumstances revolving around how he acquired his psychic powers and what happened afterwards...he wasn't ready to talk to anyone about it. Not yet.

"Alright," Goku relented, not bothering to push the subject. Bardock was grateful for this and decided to change the subject.

"If your timeline is similar in that Planet Vegeta is no more...You've never met your mother before, right?"

Goku didn't respond immediately, but looked his father in the eye.

"No, I haven't," he answered. It was the truth. During his brief stay in Otherworld, he hadn't really had the opportunity to meet his parents. Too much was going on at the time. Honestly, he hadn't given much thought to even having a mother. He wasn't sure what to think about it. Should he even bother, honestly? Was she any different from Raditz? But then again, there was Bardock and Vegeta, and they turned out not to be so bad.

"I'd really like to meet her," he decided. Before their conversation could continue, it was interrupted by the Whoosh of a automated door sliding open. Vegeta had found a large expanse of a room that one could overlook the vastness of space. The décor was plain but in good taste while the viewport was simply massive. And lying in front of the entrance to the door was the body of King Vegeta.

The Prince's back was facing Goku, so he couldn't see his rival's face, but Vegeta's body had obviously tensed up. Due to anger or sadness, Goku couldn't tell. Vegeta dropped to one knee, lifting his father slightly by the shoulders.

"You were such a fool, facing him so early," Vegeta said under his breath. He deserved a proper burial. Resolving to take his father's body with him back to the planet's surface when he left the ship, he carefully laid his father's body back on the floor.

"I can sense the other signature," Vegeta stated aloud, for Goku and Bardock's benefit. Both the time traveling Saiyans knew who it was. Vegeta's younger self.

"Kakarot," Vegeta said after coming to a stop. Bardock and Goku ceased walking, the former regarding Vegeta questioningly.

"You go ahead to the surface. After what's happened, I'm not up to looking for a way home at the moment." Vegeta looked forward again. "There's some things I need to take care of." Like burying my father.

"Alright, Vegeta. We can continue searching tomorrow," Goku agreed. Vegeta nodded before beginning to tune them out. The last thing he heard Kakarot say was him asking his father if he ever heard of 'instant transmission'. Walking purposefully toward the Ki signature that was technically his own, some thoughts ran through his head. As a Saiyan, he never had a close relationship with his mother, although his parents shared a bond that was uncommon for Saiyans in general. Much like how his own relationship with Bulma was.

What was his mother's final thoughts before the planet was destroyed by Frieza? Idly, he wondered if he should pay the Royal Palace a visit just to see his mother again...

His thoughts were interrupted by the door in front of him whooshing open. The room was dim, but he could sense his younger self plainly. Steadily, he walked into the room.

There was the slightest hesitation before he spoke. How was he to announce his presence? This was very awkward now that he thought about it.

"Instant Transmission?"

Goku nodded an affirmative at his father. "Yup, I learned it from some aliens years ago," he explained, "My time," he amended for clarification. "It's better for me to demonstrate. Grab my shoulder."

Bardock did so and Goku placed his index and middle finger to his temple. He concentrated momentarily with eyes closed before opening them again.

"Ah, what's the general direction of mother's energy signature? I've never felt it before."

"You can sense energy without a scouter?" Bardock questioned in turn. Bardock felt that one moment when Prince Vegeta ascended to Super Saiyan, but that was because it was so massive, he couldn't help but just...feel it. But Kakarot was saying there was a way to do it intentionally...

"I'll have to teach you how do it," Goku decided with a grin. "So, which direction?"

"That way," Bardock explained, pointing at a general spot in one direction. They were still inside the ship and the plant couldn't be seen from their position, but it was all the help Goku needed. Replacing his fingers to his temple again, he concentrated only for a second, before the vision of the ship disappeared in an instant, only to be replaced by what could be considered the interior of a house.

Miraculously, Goku managed to teleport right into the kitchen, which contained high tech appliances that would be similar to an Earthen Kitchen.

Bardock blinked rapidly as though trying to figure out how they were in his Living space within literally the "blink of an eye".

"MAN! That's a lot of food!" Goku shouted excitedly. A second too late, Bardock and Goku hadn't realized there was someone else in the kitchen, who hadn't noticed their presence either.

"Huh?" Goku gasped, pushing Bardock to the side as a butcher knife sailed right past them with extreme accuracy.

"Gine! Are you crazy! You could have stabbed my eye out!" Bardock shouted from his position on the floor. Even Goku was shaken up a bit from the near miss. The woman that threw the knife blinked momentarily, attempting to figure out who it was standing next to Bardock.

"Oh, Haha. I thought it was a home invasion!" The Saiyan woman explained, scratching her head in embarrassment.

"Ah, whatever," Bardock dismissed. He dusted himself off as he got up from the floor. "There's someone I want you to meet," he added while brushing off his legs.

Goku stepped forward with a casual salute. "Yo! I'm Goku. But I was born with the name Kakarot." The young saiyan watched the woman he found out to be his mother for a reaction. He noticed that he resembled her to some degree. From the locks of hair along the forehead to even the split ends. The main difference was that her hair angled more or less downward and ended at the base of her neck between her shoulders. Goku could tell where he got his eyes from. He wouldn't say it aloud, but she looked a lot more friendly than Bardock!

"You said, Kakarot?" Gine asked, blinking in confusion. Bardock stood to the side with an amused expression on his face.

"You're Kakarot?" Goku nodded, an amused smile appearing on his face. Gine looked towards Bardock for an explanation, studying both Bardock's and Kakarot's faces.

"But he was already sent off to..." Gine paused momentarily, pinching the bridge of her nose. "What is this?" she demanded, sounding a lot more serious.

"I can explain if you give me a few moments," Goku assured.

A/N: Alright, this chapter was a wee bit fast paced, but forgive me. I also need suggestions for the next chapter. Also, Vegeta is going to meet his mama. Right now, I'm thinking her name should be Okra or Orka, which is an actual vegetable. What do you guys think? Please suggest some names for the Queen too! But I'd like for it to be vegetable-based of course, to keep in line with the whole canon Saiyan names deal.

Also, these guys are going to be facing a villain, which I am not so sure who I want it to be yet. Suggestions please. And I would like this villain to be Saiyan. It'll happen before Goku and Vegeta get back to their own time, so throw some brainstorms, guys!
