"Hey, guys!" Natsu yelled, bursting into the lobby of the hotel the band was staying at, Lucy following close behind.
"What do you want flame-brain?" Gray growled out. It was 8 a.m.… Normal people would be grouchy at this time on a Saturday.
"Lucy and I finished a song for the new album." Natsu beamed at Erza. She smiled kindly at the singer.
"Very well done, Natsu. And you to Lucy. What's the song called?" She asked.
"It's called 'Angel with a shotgun'." Lucy spoke up. Erza looked at the poor girl. Her hair was frizzy and messy and she noticed dark bags under her eyes. 'Those two must have stayed up all night writing that song.' The scarlet haired woman thought noticing Natsu's appearance as well. His hair lay flat against his head and bags showed under his eyes as well. Plus the two had on the same clothing as yesterday.
"Sounds lame." Gajeel yawned out. Natsu glared at the spiky haired man.
"It'll probably be one of our biggest hits." The pink haired singer hissed out.
"I think it'll do well." Erza spoke up before the boys could get into another fight. Lucy sighed and plopped down on one of the plush recliners.
"I'm so dead." She whined. Natsu chuckled as he walked over to where the blonde was sitting.
"I am to Luce." He yawned out, sitting on the blonde girl.
"Natsu, get off of me!" Lucy groaned out, head-butting the singer in the back. Natsu laughed.
"But, Luce! You're way more comfortable sitting on than any of these old recliners." Lucy sighed, giving in to letting him stay on her lap. She wiggled her head around to where it was laying on the singers shoulder and closed her eyes. Damn, he smelled so good.
The blonde sighed contently. "Natsu, you're like a heated blanket. Heavy, but comfortable. I could totally sleep just like this." Natsu moved his head to face the blonde's.
"Did you just call me fat?" He asked, a smile playing on his lips. The blonde's breath caught in her throat. The two were so close; Centimeters apart. All Lucy would have to do is shift slightly and their lips would make contact. She considered doing so, but only if the other band members weren't there…
"What if I did?" A teasing smile blossomed from Lucy's lips. Natsu couldn't help but think how beautiful she looked. Even with her messy hair and tired expression, the singer couldn't think of anyone who was more beautiful than the girl he was sitting on. He looked at those teasing lips. They were pink, plump, and so kissable. Natsu considered closing the distance between the two, as he had many times last night. If only the other band members weren't there…
"I need a smoke." Gray spoke up, standing as he did so. "Coming Flame-brain?"
Natsu tore his eyes from the blonde and to the bass player. "Yeah, I'm comin." Natsu stood up, gave Lucy a small smile, and walked out of the lobby with his best friend. They walked out into the cool April air, Gray pulling out his cigarette pack and handing one of the sticks to the singer.
"So, what's going on with you and Lucy?" The ink haired man said, lighting the stick in his mouth and passing the lighter to Natsu.
"What do you mean?" Natsu asked, lighting his own cigarette before blowing out a thick cloud of smoke.
"Well, you guys were just raping each other with your eyes a minute ago." The bass player let out a puff of smoke. Natsu took a long drag of his cigarette.
"Lucy's so different than any other girl I've ever met." Natsu spoke slowly. "It's really hard not to like her and last night we had a blast writing that song." Gray raised his brows.
"That's another thing that confuses me. You've never let anyone besides me help you write a song before." The singer shrugged, blowing some smoke out his nose.
"Well, I want her to get comfortable being around us since she's supposed to be my girlfriend and all." The singer paused. "Plus, I wanted to get to know her a little more. And I really was stuck." Gray chuckled.
"I'm surprised you guys finished the song in one night. Haven't you been working on that song for almost a week now?" Natsu nodded.
"It was such a pain in the ass, but Lucy made the words come so easily to me." Natsu smiled. "I really like her bro."
"Well, this is only a temporary thing." Gray sighed out. Natsu groaned. "But, maybe, you two will grow on each other so much that you'll date for real."
"But that's the thing!" Natsu said, clearly frustrated. "When we were talking last night she told me that she'll be surprised if anyone at home believes that we're dating cause I'm 'not her type'." Natsu took another drag. "Who even has 'types' anymore?!"
The bass player shrugged. "Maybe she's just telling herself that so she doesn't develop feelings for you." The singer raised a brow at his friend. Gray sighed. "I mean, this is only supposed to be going on for six months to get your ex off your back. Don't you think she's distancing herself from us cause she knows we're just going to dump her after the six months is over?"
Natsu thought about what Gray said for a moment, taking in his last drag. "You're probably right Stripper. So, what can I do to make her believe that we won't dump her after the six months?"
Gray took in his last drag and threw the butt on the ground, stomping it out. "You just need to give her some time." He picked up the cigarette butt and threw it in a nearby garbage can. "Wait a couple of months to figure out if you really like the girl or if you're just being a horny bastard." Gray smirked while Natsu scoffed. "Figure out your feelings before you drag her into this hell we call our lives." Natsu's expression turned dark, remembering the past he tried so hard to forget. Gray's expression softened and he placed a hand on the singers shoulder. "Dad would be proud of us, you know that right?"
Natsu looked at his best friend and nodded. "I just wish he was here to see us get this far."
"I wish so to. He would've kicked your ass for dating Lisanna the first time, that's for sure." The pink haired twenty-three year old laughed.
"I'm surprised you didn't kick my ass the first time." Gray laughed.
"I'm surprised to, but if you ever pull a stunt like that again, I will kick your ass." Gray said while giving Natsu a playful shove. "That's a promise."
"You wouldn't be you if you didn't." Natsu smiled. "Let's go back inside. We gotta get our stuff before the bus gets here." Gray nodded.
"If you don't pass out before the bus gets here that is." Gray said noticing the singer's tired expression.
"I can make it till the bus gets here, Ice-prick." Gray rolled his eyes as the two walked back into the lobby with the rest of the gang.
"I'll bet you a hundred bucks you'll be passed out before you even get all your stuff to the lobby." Natsu smirked.
"You're on!"
"I just got a hundred bucks." Gray said, crossing his arms over his bare chest, smiling widely at the sleeping pink haired idiot. "He didn't even make it out of his room!" Lucy walked into Natsu's room to see why Gray was yelling and began laughing at Natsu's sleeping position. He had his suitcase open on his bed, nearly full with clothes, and the upper half of his body lying on those clothes while the lower half of his body hung off the bed.
"I'm surprised he hasn't fallen yet." Lucy said coming up to Gray. The bass player turned to Lucy and put an arm loosely around her shoulders.
"I'm surprised you haven't passed out yet either." Gray laughed out.
"I'm used to pulling all-nighters." The blonde shrugged. She looked at the ink haired twenty-three year old. "Uhh... Gray?" The bass player looked at the blonde, still smiling widely that he won the bet. "Where's your shirt?" Gray looked down.
He cursed under his breath. "Why do I do this?" He asked himself. Lucy laughed. "Wake him up while I go find out where I left my shirt." He said walking out of the singer's room. Lucy chuckled to herself again.
"Gray is so silly." She said right before kicking Natsu's foot. "Get up Natsu, the bus is here!" She heard the singer groan. "Come on sleepy head!" She kicked his foot again.
"Five more minutes." He grumbled out. Lucy sighed.
"No more minutes. Get up." She shook his shoulder.
"I don't wanna!" Lucy rolled her eyes.
"Quit being a baby, you can sleep on the bus." Natsu opened one eye, looking the blonde up and down. She had changed her clothes into a simple pair of grey sweat pants and a hot pink tank top. Natsu got an idea.
"Will you sleep next to me?" The blonde thought about it.
"If you get up, get your stuff ready, and are downstairs in the next fifteen minutes I will." Natsu jumped up and started throwing his things into his suitcase. He was done in record time.
"Lucy!" Natsu called from the back bedroom on the tour bus. "Come here!" The blonde groaned, setting down her book and walking back to where Natsu was lying down.
"What do you want?" The pink haired boy stuck out his bottom lip as he pouted.
"I woke up and you weren't beside me anymore." Lucy laughed lightly.
"Sorry, not sorry." Natsu glared at Lucy, who was busy laughing at his facial expression.
"You're not nice." He pouted, crossing his arms over his bare chest. "You're not allowed to sleep by me anymore if you're going to be like that."
Lucy placed her hand over her heart. "Oh, Natsy, baby, don't be that way. You're cutting me deep." She said sarcastically. Natsu laughed, holding his gut.
"I hope you bleed to death!" He laughed out.
"Not on the new carpet!" The two heard Erza shout from the driver's seat. The two laughed.
"I'll let her bleed out in the bathroom!" Natsu shouted to the scarlet haired girl in the front.
"Make sure it's in the bathtub! That'd be the easiest to clean!" Lucy gasped in mock horror.
"Erza! You're cutting me deeper than Natsu!" Lucy saw the manager grin in the rearview mirror.
"That's just cause I'm better than Natsu!" The singer scoffed.
"Go back to driving Erza!" The two heard Erza laughing lightly from the front. Lucy looked at the pouting rock start and laughed.
"Why are you laughing at me?" He cried.
"Because your pouty face is just too cute!"
Natsu scrunched his nose and tackled the blonde on the bed. "I told you not to use that word!" He yelled, attacking her sides. Lucy screamed, laughing as he assaulted her ribs.
"Natsu! S-stop tickling m-me!" She gasped out between laughs.
The male grinned. "Only if you say 'Natsu is the greatest singer in the entire world and the sexiest man alive!'."
"Natsu is the greatest singer in the entire world and the CUTEST man alive!"
"No!" Natsu tickled the blonde faster. Tears streamed down her face from laughing so hard as she struggled to get out from under the male.
"Natsu! I'm going to pee my pants!" She screamed out. The singer smirked at the blonde underneath him.
"Then say the right words!" The blonde pouted, puffing out her bottom lip. Natsu couldn't help himself as his mind went there. Images of them lying in the same position naked infiltrated his mind. The urge to bite that lip was almost to a point of being unbearable. 'Wait a couple of months to figure out if you really like the girl or if you're just being a horny bastard.' Gray's words echoed through his head. Was he really just being a horny bastard? He really needed to get his mind out of the gutter.
"Make that face again and I'll type writer you." Natsu threatened. Lucy's eyes widened at the thought.
"You wouldn't dare."
Natsu grinned evily. "Do you want to test this hypothesis?"
The blonde shook her head vigorously. "No! No, no, no. Nopeity, nope, nope. I am completely good!" The blonde let out a shaky laugh. Natsu grinned victoriously.
"Then say the right words!" Lucy groaned. 'This is not helping me get my mind out of the gutter!' Natsu thought. 'Maybe thinking of Gray naked will help me with this problem…' The singer grimaced, afraid to close his eyes ever again. 'That worked a little too well.'
"Natsu is the greatest singer in the entire world and the sexiest man alive!" Lucy breathed out. Natsu grinned with victory.
"Was that so hard?" Natsu placed his hands on either side of her head, leaning his face closer. He was so close Lucy could feel his hot breath blowing over her face.
Lucy stuck her tongue out at the singer. "It caused me physical pain." Natsu chuckled.
"But it was the good kind of pain."
"No, it wasn't. I feel like I need to go wash my mouth out with soap now." Natsu's grin widened.
"I can help with that." Lucy's expression took on a look of pure horror.
"I was kidding!"
"But I wasn't!"
"Do I need to come back there and break you two up?!" Levy shouted, causing Natsu and Lucy to jump. The blonde groaned, forgetting that her best friend was on the bus with the band.
"You guys are so annoying." Gajeel spoke.
"I'll be quieter!" Natsu yelled and then turned to the blonde under him, grinning widely. Lucy's breath caught in her throat. Only bad things came with a smile of that size… "I can't promise Lucy will be quiet though!"
The blonde scoffed. "I'll be quiet!"
Natsu lowered his head enough to where their noses touched. "Are you sure about that?" That damn smile was still plastered on his face. Lucy wanted to kiss it off of him! Wait… Kiss? What? Oh dear… "I don't think you can be quiet Luce." Natsu's voice came out way huskier than he wanted it to. Lucy's heart started to quicken in her chest, her breathing coming out ragged. Was it bad to be so turned on by someone you've only known for two weeks?
"I can be quiet when I want to." She shot back, but not with nearly as much energy as she had earlier.
Natsu's famous smirk played on his lips. "I know you wouldn't be able to stay quiet." Lucy thought about what he said for a moment. Was he really going there?
"You're really that cocky aren't you?" She needed to see if he really was going there.
"It's not my fault I know how to pleasure a woman." Oh, he was definitely going there. Lucy ginned evilly, before shoving him off of her and sitting on his hips.
She leaned her face close to the startled boy's face. "And it's not my fault that I'll make you beg for more." Then Lucy did something unexpected. She took the singers bottom lip between her teeth, biting softly, and pulled back. Natsu's heart did a little flop as he stared at the girl on top of him.
And then she left. Natsu sat up, watching her hips shake as she walked out the bedroom door. He heard it softly click as it shut and he let out a shaky breath. Had he been holding it this entire time? Probably.
"What the hell have I gotten myself into?" He wondered aloud. He lay back down on the bed wondering what the fuck he was even doing.
