SDMI the Night the Clown Cried AU

Previously:
"Alright Motorists let's get out of here before Sherriff Stones has to arrest me. We have a mystery to solve and I have some steam to blow off." Velma said and if one looked close enough it looked like there really was some steam coming off of her, although they would be more distracted by the fire that was on her fingertips.
Now:
"I don't get it. They're solving mysteries as if they were puzzles for little kids and they aren't afraid to beat the bad guys into submission. Yet they're still more liked than we ever were!" Fred said scowling when he saw the newspaper in a shop window that proclaimed that 'The Motorists Have Done It Again!'.
"How bout cause we actually explain things to them?" Velma's voice asked sarcastically from behind them causing them to jump and spin around only to come face to face with the Motorists.
"What are you here for?!" Daphne sneered at the group angrily, she was really pissed at Velma for her words the other week.
"We have a case out in the mountains so we came to get some gear." Velma said shortly to the group and pointedly looked at how they were blocking the door to the camping supply store.
"Hey Vels I got an idea." Mayor Nettles said looking at the small group of three angry investigators blocking their way.
"What's up?" Velma asked looking over her shoulder at the auburn haired woman casually.
"Since they seem to be trying to get in the way of our cases all the time why don't we take them along on this one to show them how's it done? They might get scared then." Nettles said with a snort causing the other three women to snicker at that thought while the three remaining members of Mystery Inc. the Second glared at them for the slight on their courage…although they couldn't deny that at least Shaggy was a coward.
"We can dream Jan we can dream…but the idea itself isn't too bad. What do you three think?" Velma asked looking at Cassidy, Marcy and Scooby while Fred frowned.
"Why are you asking them? Aren't you the leader?" Fred asked looking at Velma confused and causing her to roll her eyes.
"Yes I am the 'official' leader of the group but unlike you I actually value and listen to my friends thoughts and ideas when dealing with anything, particularly things related to an investigation." Velma said giving him a pointed look since usually he just ordered them around and expected everyone to follow his plans…which never worked.
"Hell baby doll this might finally get em off of our back so I say go for it." Cassidy said with a shrug when Velma turned back to her, causing Marcy to snicker at Cassidy's words.
"You wanna let them go along because you don't like seeing anyone but Jan or yourself on mine and Vel's backs." Marcy said leering at Cassidy who blushed but grinned while Nettles and Velma just blushed at the innuendo that went right over Fred and Shaggy's heads.
"Damn straight and don't act like you don't like it either cause I know you enjoy it." Cassidy said with a saucy wink as she leered at Marcy who blushed at having her words turned back on her.
"If you two are quite done?" Nettles asked with a pointed clearing of the throat.
"Why wanna join in? I'm sure we can head back home for some fun." Cassidy asked licking her lips slightly as she leered at Nettles who blushed slightly and swatted Cassidy upside the back of her head.
"Down girl. We leave for the mountains in two days, so if we get all our gear today then the four of us might be able to have some 'fun' tonight and maybe tomorrow night too." Nettles said smirking when Cassidy's eyes widened and she grinned wickedly as she turned to look at Velma and Marcy, who both blushed and squirmed slightly under her grin.
"I'll take that as we let them tag along." Velma said forcing her blush down as she turned back to look at the three MI members, Daphne who looked shocked and slightly disgusted while Fred and Shaggy were just clueless.
"Meet us here in two days and we'll let you tag along on our case." Velma said before she pushed past them in order to get into the store behind them.
"Why not tomorrow then?" Fred asked scratching the back of his head in confusion. Cassidy's response caused Velma and Marcy to blush and stutter slightly while Nettles nodded in agreement and Scooby just snickered in amusement.
"Cause Jan and I plan on making sure that Vel and Marc can't walk tomorrow."
