Chapter 6: The New Member
Today was an odd day for the Straw Hats. Frist a ship falls from the sky. Then while they were exploring the ship (which sank) they get into a fight with a ship salvager that looked like a Monkey.
Not only that but after an incident where the sky darkened the log post started pointing up. Meanwhile that it was pointing to a Sky Island.
Of course Luffy wanted to go there.
Thankfully they were able to snatch an eternal pose from him and were able to get to a nearby island called Jaya, which was an island that was often used by pirates.
A group consisting of Nami, Zoro and Luffy explored the town called Mock Town. Although Name made Luffy promise not to cause trouble. Eventually they got to a bar. In the bar most of the patrons consisted of a pirate crew called the Bellamy Pirates, a woman with green hair who appeared not to be with them and a man with long black hair and stubble.
Luffy ended up getting into a fight with the man with stubble over drinks (which Luffy liked, but the man hated) and the pie (which the man like but Luffy hated).
However after the man left (with some pie), another problem was caused. After Bellamy (the captain of the crew named after him) started causing trouble with Luffy.
The green haired woman watched with interest.
After Nami brought up Sky Island asking where to go the pirate crew laughed at her, irritating the green haired woman.
"Listen the age of pirate dreams is over!" yelled Bellamy, "El Dorado, the Emerald City, the One Piece…"
The woman glared at Bellamy, not that he noticed.
"Fools that are blinded by their fantasies don't see the treasures right in front of them. In this day in age some of the most able sea fears get themselves killed. " Said Bellamy, "Then they say "at least they died chasing their dreams. Aren't they lucky."
Bellamy laughed, "I say they're all losers."
The woman was getting even more irritated.
"It's fools like you that give pirates a bad name!" yelled Bellamy hitting Luffy across the face with a bottle.
The rest of Bellamy's crew began to toss food at Luffy and yelling about how they should leave the island.
Nami got angry, "Luffy! Zoro forget your promise! Clobber this guy!" yelled Nami.
Luffy on the other and, "Zoro… don't fight back." Said Luffy.
The green haired woman looked at Luffy and knew it was time to get involved.
"That's a noble thing to do." Said the woman walking towards Luffy and helping him up, "However… I'm going to fight them… I've been on this island the last few days and everything they do makes me sick."
"But I didn't want a fight." Said Luffy.
"But right now I'm not a member of your crew." Said the woman, "Besides, what they did hurt something I care about… so I'm going to fight him if you won't."
"What?" asked Luffy confused about what she was saying.
"Who is she…" thought Nami getting strange feeling from her.
"Oh so you want to fight us for them? That's pathetic." Said Bellamy.
"Are weapons allowed?" asked the woman walking towards Bellamy.
"Sure… why not." Said Bellamy, "I guess you need something to fight for a pathetic weakling…"
The woman held out her hand and a key-like silver staff appeared in her hand. Bellamy threw a punch at her but the woman blocked with her staff.
Sarkies (the first mate of the crew) looked at the staff and looked the woman over.
"No… it can't be…" he muttered.
The woman pushed Bellamy back and whacked him with the staff sending Bellamy flying.
"What's wrong Sarkies?" asked a member of the crew.
"The green hair, the staff that appears out of nowhere! That's Meioh Setsuna! The immortal!" yelled Sarkies.
"She's Meioh Setsuna?" asked Nami in shock.
"Who's Meioh Setsuna?" asked Luffy and Zoro.
"You two seriously don't know of Meioh Setsuna!" yelled Nami then sighed.
Setsuna (who indeed was the same one who met with Ace), kicked Bellamy in the face.
Bellamy got up and tried to punch her, but Setsuna ducked. She then used her staff to hit him in the chin.
"She is a woman who has been alive for hundreds maybe even thousands of years. She fought in many wars, saved many people and even fought against the government. Every time a great change would happen she would be there fighting for what she believed in…" said Nami, "Not only that but she hasn't agreed a day in all those years. That is why she is called The Immortal."
Zoro stared at her, getting a similar feeling of déjà vu.
"Not only that but her most recent escapes was over 20 years ago… when she was a member of Gold Roger's Crew." Said Nami.
Luffy watched Setsuna fight, he knew he saw her before but didn't know where.
Back with the fight. Setsuna decided it was time to finish it. She slammed her staff into his gut forcing him to tumble over. When he was on the ground she placed her staff on his neck.
"Do you give up?" asked Setsuna.
Bellamy wanted to say something but even his crew knew not say anything.
"By the way, you're wrong." Said Setsuna, "I've seen both El Dorado and Sky Island… they do exist… I don't know what made you so jaded, but it made you blind to world around you…"
Setsuna lifted her staff and then walked over to Luffy.
"There's something I need to ask you Luffy." Said Setsuna, "So can I talk to you here without them around."
"Sure…" said Luffy.
Setsuna looked at Nami and Zoro. She smiled at them.
The four of them left the bar, they walked passed the man with stubble.
"So that's the immortal." Said the man, "It's a shame that she has no bounty."
Inside the bar, Bellamy refused to get up… he was muttering things in her mind. Meanwhile his crew was in shock, not only because he was defeated but by a woman that many thought was just a legend.
Outside many of the pirates roaming the streets started avoiding Setsuna after hearing about what happened in the bar. Because of that she was able to talk to them bout the topic at hand…
"So what did you want to talk about?" asked Luffy.
"I want to join your crew." Said Setsuna as she vanished her staff.
Nami was shocked. Zoro was surprised but didn't show on his face.
However Luffy's answer was even more surprising.
"No." he answered.
"What?" asked Nami, "Why?"
"Because she would make it too easy." Answered Luffy.
"What…" said Nami.
"She traveled with Gold Roger… she'll make it too easy." Said Luffy.
"That your reason?" asked Nami.
"How about you give me a week." Said Setsuna.
"What?" asked Luffy.
"How about I join your crew for a week." Said Setsuna, "And if you don't change your mind I'll leave."
"I think that's a good idea." Said Zoro.
"You want her to join?" asked Nami surprised.
Zoro looked over Setsuna, "Something tells me to trust her."
"Fine…" said Luffy, "But you better not tell me what One Piece is."
"Okay… I promise." Said Setsuna.
Meanwhile in the mysterious enemies HQ.
"All right! Since your punishment is that you have to work with us, I have a plan to get the Silver Crystal." Said Karen.
"What sort of plan…" muttered Sara.
"Hostage negotiation." Said Karen.
"What?" asked Sara.
"I'll explain when we being," said Karen.
Not too long later at the Going Merry. Luffy's group arrived to find Usopp doing some repairs to the ship.
"Hey!" called out Luffy.
The crew at the ship noticed Setsuna with them.
"Who's that?" asked Sanji his eye erupting in hearts.
"Oh this is Setsuna, she'll be joining us for the time being." Said Nami.
"Setsuna!" said Sanji his voice filled with love.
However suddenly he stopped himself… he didn't know why.
"Is something wrong?" asked Setsuna.
"No…" said Sanji.
"Luffy! You're injured." Said Chopper.
"Oh right… he did beat me up a little." Said Luffy.
The three claimed aboard.
"So… who are you exactly?" asked Usopp.
"My name is Meioh Setsuna." Said Setsuna.
"I know I've heard that name before." Said Usopp.
"Wait… aren't you The Immortal." Said Sanji.
"That's right." Said Setsuna.
"Maybe that's why you can't hit on her… you know she's 100 times older than you are." Said Zoro.
"What was that?" asked Sanji.
"So did you find anything about Skypiea?" asked Chopper.
"Skypiea…" muttered Nami.
Chopper began to get scared.
"Who cares about that…" muttered Nami.
"If you want to go, I know a couple ways…" said Setsuna.
"What? Really?" asked Luffy.
"She mentioned that she went in the bar." Said Zoro with a sweat drop.
"Can you show us?" asked Luffy.
"Of course." Said Setsuna.
"But it's still not enough for you to join this crew." Said Luffy.
"I didn't expect it to be." Said Setsuna.
That was when she noticed Luna and Artemis. She smiled at them.
"Oh yeah, these are the ship's cats Luna and Artemis." Said Chopper.
"They're cute." Said Setsuna, "They remind of pair of cats that belong to some old friends."
Setsuna winked at the two, that cats knew what that meant and nodded.
"Wait…" said Usopp, "What do you mean it's not enough…"
"Luffy won't let me permanently join." Sighed Setsuna, "But he will give me a week to change his mind."
"I wish you luck…" said Sanji, "It's hard to change his mind when he's so stubborn."
"Hey! Wait!" yelled Usopp suddenly remembering something, "The monkey is close by!"
"Is Robin back yet?" asked Nami.
"There she is!" shouted Sanji, "Robin!"
Robin came on board holding some shopping bags and wearing new clothes.
"I went shopping and found some information about Skypiea." Said Robin.
"We found a guide." Said Nami.
Robin dropped her bags in shock.
"You're the immortal." Said Robin she said in awe.
Setsuna laughed nervously, "I am." She said.
She managed to regain composure, "Sorry, I've just read a lot about you… and I never through I would ever see you in person."
"It's rare whenever I get that." Said Setsuna.
"So you found something?" asked Nami.
"Sort of." Said Robin.
She handed Nami a map and explained the situation, there was a man who was chased out of the town for talking about Dreams.
They would go to meet him to see if he knew anything.
"But wait… she already she knew away." Said Luffy.
"You did say you didn't want me to make things easy so we'll talk to him first." Said Setsuna.
"Hey!" yelled Luffy.
And so they set sail for the weirdo's (as he was called on the island) house.
As they sailed, Chopper was watching the ocean.
Whenever suddenly he saw something jump down form somewhere and grab him.
Elsewhere on the ship, they heard Chopper screaming.
Luffy ran towards the screaming, and saw that a monster was holding onto Chopper.
"There you are." Said Karen appearing behind him.
"Give us the Crystal or else your pet dies." Said Sara.
"Luffy…" cried Chopper.
That was when Luna jumped in and scratched the face of the monster, causing it to drop Chopper.
However when Chopper fell, Sara grabbed Chopper with a black rope.
"Still you're in the same position." Said Sara.
"Don't do it Luffy!" yelled Chopper.
"Okay!" said Luffy.
That was when the other four showed up hearing what happened.
"Moon Crisis!" shouted Luffy.
"Venus Crystal Power!" shouted Nami.
"Mercury Crystal Power!" shouted Usopp
"Mars Crystal Power!" shouted Zoro.
"Jupiter Crystal Power!" shouted Sanji.
"Make-up!"
All of them transformed into their Senshi forms.
"Remember Sara work as a team!" said Karen.
"Yeah… yeah…" sighed Sara.
Sara snapped her fingers, and the monster suddenly unleashed several black ropes.
"Seriously…" said Karen.
"Baby steps." Said Sara.
The monster all sent the ropes at the all of the Sailor Senshi, each one tying their Arms, or arms in Sailor Mars' case.
"What was this supposed to do?" asked Sailor Moon.
"Just see…" said Sara.
Sailor Jupiter rolled her eyes.
"Jupiter Oak Evolution!"
However nothing happened.
"Venus Love an D Beauty Shock!"
Once again, nothing happened.
"These are blocking our power!" said Sailor Mercury.
Why you!" yelled Sailor Moon, "Gum Gum…"
However she found she could use her gum Gum Powers.
"Now shall we get to business or should there be more humiliation." Said Sara.
"Yes… leave me out of this…" muttered Karen.
However they heard a voice whisper, "Dead Scream…"
That was a purple sphere hit the monster in the face forcing it to it to let go of them.
"I honestly didn't think you would attack so soon after I got here." Said a voice.
"Oh crap…" muttered Karen.
They all turned to see it was a Sailor Senshi, her main color was black, while her ribbons were a shade of maroon. She had long green hair, part of it were kept in a bun. Also she held a key like staff… the same one that Setsuna used.
"That Staff…" said Sailor Venus.
"That's it…" said Sailor Mars.
"Sailor Pluto…" cursed Karen.
"So you're finally here." Said Sara.
"I'd like it if you put down the ship's doctor." Said Sailor Pluto.
"Ship's doctor?" asked Karen.
"That would be me." Said Chopper.
"You're a doctor?" asked Karen, "But you're so cute and fluffy!"
"Shut up asshole!" yelled Chopper.
Though no one was sure if he was being honest or flatter.
However soon Sara had swords her neck.
"Drop him now." Said Sailor Mars.
"Fine…" muttered Sara, "I should take my leave then…"
Sara dropped Chopper, then disappeared.
"Why you…" muttered Karen following suit.
"Sailor Moon finish off the monster!" said Sailor Pluto.
"Right!" said Sailor Moon.
"Rainbow Moon Heartache!"
The combination of rainbows and hearts destroyed the monster.
However Sailor Moon turned to Sailor Pluto.
Wait! Who are you?" asked Sailor Moon.
"I'm Sailor Pluto. The Sailor Senshi of time." Said Sailor Pluto.
"She is." Said Luna confirming, "She is also the only Sailor Senshi alive after the great cataclysm."
"So that explains it." Said Sailor Venus.
"No wonder why you're immortal." Said Sailor Mars.
"You're half right." Said Sailor Pluto.
"What are you talking about…" said Sailor Mercury.
"You have to join my crew." Said Sailor Moon, "If you're a Sailor Senshi too."
"I guess you change your mind." Said Sailor Pluto.
That was when she de-transformed, rereleasing her true identity… that of Setsuna.
"I thought it would take much longer for something to happen." Said Setsuna.
Sailor Moon's jaw dropped.
Sailor Venus des de-transformed, "Luffy… she used the same weapon… it should be that much of a surprise." Sighed Nami.
After the rest de-transformed and getting Robin and Artemis, Setsuna explained.
"I didn't want tell you right away that I was a Sailor Senshi because I knew Luffy would want me to join because of that." Said Setsuna, "I though either we'd get attacked or he'd remember something before the week was up. I didn't think we'd get attacked so soon."
"Remember?" asked Usopp.
"You mean a past life?" asked Sanji.
"Wait!" said Luffy, "I remember you now…"
"Wait are you talking about a memory from your past life?" asked Chipper.
"No something that happened when I was kid." Said Luffy.
(Flashback)
Setsuna sighed… She had heard that Garp was doing an extremely training regiment with Ace.
She was going to give him a piece of her mind. After all Ace was like a nephew to her.
That was when she found Garp holding what appeared to be a six year old boy and he was about to toss him into a ravine, however Setsuna grabbed the boy before he could do it.
"What?" asked Garp, he looked behind him.
"Are you okay?" asked Setsuna.
"You save me from Grandpa! Thank you!" said the boy who was Luffy hugging her.
Setsuna looked at Luffy, he eyes widened.
"It can't be…" she thought.
"Setsuna!" yelled Garp, "What do you think you're doing?"
"Preventing you from throwing a child into a ravine!" muttered Setsuna glaring at him.
"But he's my grandson!" yelled Garp, "If he doesn't do his training how else is going to be a strong marine!"
"I told you! I'm going to be a pirate! Not a marine!" yelled Luffy.
"Is that so!" said Setsuna with a smile, "How about when you become a pirate I join you're crew."
"I don't know you don't look strong." Said Luffy.
"You want to see how strong I am?" asked Setsuna.
She turned to Garp.
"Crap! She knows what I've been doing to Ace!" thought Garp.
Luffy watched as Setsuna beat up Garp. After it was done, Luffy saw that his grandfather on the ground twitching.
"Oh wow you are strong if you beat up grandpa!" said Luffy, "you can join my crew when I become a pirate."
"When you do, I'll find you." Said Setsuna.
Luffy smiled and nodded.
"Now if you excuse me I have to talk to your grandfather." Said Setsuna.
She dragged away Garp and for another day Luffy was safe from the training.
(End of Flashback)
"Wait… you're grandfather tried to throw you off a cliff?" asked Zoro.
"Why?" asked Sanji.
"Don't ask…" said Luffy who looked terrified.
"It's best not to bring up his grandfather." Said Setsuna.
"I thought you would have been an old lady by then." Said Luffy.
"Since I spend most of my time at the Gates of Time I don't age." Said Setsuna.
"The gates of Time?" asked Nami.
"I'm supposed to guard them, however due to certain even I can leave whenever I want. So every once in a while I would explore the world and help people. As well search for you." said Setsuna, "I found Luffy when I was checking up someone I watch over and I could immediately that he was this reincarnation of the Princess…"
"So why didn't you show up sooner?" asked Zoro.
"There were a few loose ends I was tying up." Said Setsuna, "Trust me… you'll understand soon."
"Well either way you're a member of the crew now! And we should celebrate!" said Luffy.
"Maybe later…" said Nami pointing to the ship
There was a ship approaching, one with a monkey theme.
Of course this would lead to a somewhat short battle.
Meanwhile in the HQ, Doug and Karen stared at Sara.
"We're going to teach that friendship can be magic!" said Doug.
"What?" asked Sara.
"Yeah… this weirding me out too." Said Karen.
"Trust me! It will be fun!" said Doug, "But first I'll tech you about Fun…"
That was when music began to play.
"Pleas don't sing." Said Sara.
"This is a punishment for you so you will have to take it!" said Doug stopping them music then restarting it.
"I'm leaving…" said Karen.
"Wait!" said Sara.
"I'm not helping you… just like you didn't help me." Said Karen.
Sara stood there in shock, as Doug began to sing a song that involved the spelling of Fun.
And so Sara had to endure her punishment.
With that Sailor Pluto joined in on the crew… but who knew what was going to happen in the future now with 4 Senshi on the ship… All that was known was that they were headed to Sky Island… hopefully…
Next Time: The adventure on Sky Island was crazy... however something happens while on the island and then after all that Sara attack with new found power of friendship... will she be able to defeat the Sailor Senshi or no? Find out next time!
