The pain retreated as quickly as it had come. Harry found himself grinning like a madman as he turned towards his Godfather. "Better?" Sirius asked, a small sad smile on his face. "Lots" Harry replied, rolling his shoulders. They felt lighter than they had in years. Harry stood up and went to the mirror hanging on the wardrobe door. He twisted his head, trying to get a good look at his back. His grin went, if possible, even wider as he saw the scar from the buckle end of Uncle Vernon's belt had disappeared. It felt to good to be true. Sirius cares. Harry thought again. Sirius watched his boy's elation, feeling older than he ever had. He shouldn't have to feel so good because he's been healed. I never should have had to heal him in the first place. Sirius thought sadly. Then a predatory look crossed his face that was hurridly replaced with an angelic one as he thought of the Dursleys. They were going to pay hell for this. Much the same thought occured to the younger wizard and he wheeled around to face the angel-faced Godfather. "What're you going to do to them?" said Harry suspiciously, "Don't do anything that'll get you thrown back in Azkaban! You're only just free!" Harry cried.
Oops. Maybe the Angelic Face doesn't work on Harry. Sirius thought amusedly. He could almost hear Remus's voice Just like it doesn't work on anyone. He could hear James's voice as well now Mine however... Works perfectly on everyone. Merlin, he missed James but he would do everything in his power to protect his son. His Godson.
"I'm sure I won't do anything too bad" At Harry's sceptical look he added "Well, nothing illegal. I'm sure I can find a few loopholes in the law." Harry relented then a grin of pure evil transformed his face. "So. What are your're plans? Mr Marauder." Sirius grinned evily as well and shot back immediately "What are they most scared of?"
"Wizards and the, ah, M word."
"M word?"
"You know." Harry lowered his voice and leaned towards Sirius, making as if to tell him a deadly secret. "Magic" He breathed. Then another thought occured to him. "I mayn't have told them that you're innocent yet" He admitted sheepishly. Sirius exploded.
"That. Harry. Is. Bloody. Brilliant." Sirius gasped while barking with laughter. "Ya hear that James! See how brilliant your son is!" he shouted at the ceiling. Harry glowed with pride. The animagus was pleased that Harry could still joke, despite all that he had been through. Sirius suddenly sobered. He frowned and said slowly "If they're so afraid of magic, wizards and me, then how come they had the guts to do this to you." He waved a hand in the general direction of Harry. Harry hung his head. "I wasn't going to tell anyone... and they knew that."
"Oh Harry. C'mere" Sirius pulled Harry into a massive bear hug.
Far away in mountainous parts of Scotland, a certain silver haired man was carefully selecting several spells that would somehow find their way into a certain red haired matriach's hands.
