Olivia sighed and sat beside Alex on the couch. They had a lot to talk about. Olivia didn't think she would be able to help Alex but Alex seemed to think she could.

"I want to be with you…" Alex says quietly.

"Alex…"

"No you don't think I do but I do. I was confused at first. You should've expected that Olivia. I have never been with a woman. You have, you are openly gay. I shouldn't have ran out and hurt you the way I did, I know that. I know the pain I've caused but I do want to be with you. You just need to take things slow with me."

Olivia sat there silently not sure what to say, this was what she wanted. She has wanted this forever but she was just unsure if this wasn't just a fling for Alex. She couldn't help but thing that it was phase for her. She sighed and ran a hand through her short messy hair. Alex gave her a look and it was one of those looks she knew she well.

"I love you Alex but I just don't want you leaving me again because you are confused. You have no idea how bad that hurt me. I do want to be with you but this can't be some phase and you just trust me because I'm the only gay person you know. I need you just as much as you need me."

Alex looked at Olivia stunned that she wouldn't even suggested that to her. She would even thing Alex was capable of that. Alex closed her eyes tight thinking before she spoke.

"I can't believe you think I'd do that. I wouldn't lie and say I'm in love with you. Jesus Olivia."

"I'm sorry Alex. I'm just being cautious…"

"I know…"

Olivia found Alex's hand and clasped them together and gave her a smile. She squeezed it tight.

"I'm here for you no matter what. I will support you."

"I need to tell my mom and dad…" She sighed.

"Your mom has some sort of idea of it. She's okay with it."

Alex looked at her confused.

"Don't ask."

Alex smiled and Olivia sighed. There was only so much Olivia could take and she hoped for the life of her she could know her limit. She didn't want to end up even more hurt. She wanted Alex but this whole idea of Olivia being her first girl made her nervous.

"Okay, I'll be with you. We'll take it slow and easy." Olivia said squeezing Alex's hand.

"Good. We have a picnic to go to tomorrow and we will talk to my dad there. So we should head to bed."

Olivia stands first and walked into the room, Alex follows. She strips out of her red dress and throws in her hamper. Alex watches her as she walks around to grab bed clothes. Olivia's in a black lacey bra and underwear set.

"You could just sleep like that I wouldn't mind."

Olivia turns and smiles at her.

"Cute."

Alex winks and climbs into bed and watches as Olivia changes out of that bra and underwear into a tank top and booty shorts. Olivia walks over to the bed and climbs in.

"I am so gay. You have just confirmed all my doubts, seriously." Alex laughed.

Olivia rolled her eyes playfully and leaned over and kissed Alex softly and Alex tried to deepen the kiss but Olivia pulled away.

"Slow." Olivia said putting a finger to Alex's mouth.

Alex made a face and laid down cuddling into Olivia's chest, drifting off to sleep.

Olivia stretched away and felt Alex was gone from bed. She sat up and saw the bathroom light was on and the door was cracked. She let out a sigh of relieve and laid back down. Olivia felt bad that she was scared Alex had actually left her in the middle of the night. She wished all her bad thoughts would just go away so she could be happy with Alex.

Alex walked out of the bathroom and smiled at Olivia has she put an earring in. She was wearing a strapless white dress with little butterflies on the bottom and sandals. Alex's hair was straight and her make-up was light has always.

"You look gorgeous." Olivia said softly as she climbed out of bed.

"Coming from the beauty queen. You even look perfect in the morning, now that should be illegal." Alex said kissing Olivia softly.

Olivia laughed and walked over to her closet, trying to find something to wear. She was so glad her hair was finally growing out and it was starting to look better. She pulled out a yellow dress with thin straps and it had a plunging neck line.

"Oh you'll be getting all the looks." Alex joked.

"Jokes this earlier consular?" Olivia smiled as she walked into the bathroom.

Alex and Olivia arrived at the picnic an hour later. Olivia knew Alex was nervous by the way she locked arms with her and squeezed tightly. Olivia thought she had the right to be, she was getting ready to come out to her family, that's a huge deal.

Alex sat beside her favorite cousin Joshua. He was super attractive and had a gorgeous smile. He hugged Alex and then looked over at Olivia.

"Holy and who might you be? You are breathtaking!" He said as he took Olivia's hand.

"Olivia Benson, Alex's…friend." She coughed and smiled at Alex.

"Alexandra your friends are hot." He said before sitting down.

The whole picnic Alex's parents were off doing something. Josh, Alex, and Olivia were hanging around having fun. Josh hit on Olivia more times then she could count. She just laughed it off.

"I've had so much fun with you two. I wanna come stay with you! I'm in town for a few days, could I crash at your place Alex?"

"Actually I'm staying at Olivia's, you'll have to talk to her."

"Oh I don't mind! It'll be fun."

Alex smiled and squeezed Olivia's hand when her parents walked over to them.

"Mother, father, could we speak privately please?"

Alex grabbed Olivia has they walked over to an empty clearing. They all sat on a picnic table and Alex was hesitant at first. She wasn't sure what to say to them. She was scared of her father's reaction the man that she worked so hard to impress. She closed her eyes and then look over at Olivia.

"I'm…I am gay."

Richard looked at Alice. Alice looked at Olivia and Alex was looking at Richard.

"No. No you aren't Alexandra. You think you are because you have friends like Olivia."

"Excuse me? I have nothing to do with your daughter's sexuality. She would be gay either way. You are born that way, you can't control who you fall in love with and for you to judge your own daughter, the woman you raised…you are a bastard Richard. You may not like me because I'm gay and because I am not like other women, I do not bow down at a man's feet or keep my mouth shut, because this is the 2006 not 1932. I am leaving Alex, I'll see you at home. I will not stay where people think it's unacceptable to be happy with who I am."

Olivia stood up and walked towards the car and she heard Alice's voice when she hit the parking lot. She sighed and turned to face her.

"I'm sorry I blew up on him."

"No he deserved it. You are right, Alexandra is the same woman we raised, she just likes to date women. Richard will learn to accept it or he won't have a daughter anymore. I love you Olivia just like one of my own. You treat my baby good and I expect grandbabies!"

Olivia laughed and hugged her tightly. Alex walked over to them with Josh. Alex dip kissed Olivia and Alice and Josh clapped and whistled.

"I love you Olivia Benson."

"I also love you Alexandra Cabot."

A/N: I ended on a happy note. I also made Olivia say a lot to Richard because it wasn't easy coming out when I told my parents. But it did get easier. So this is only the beginning of a long rollercoaster my friends! Don't forget to review! xxx
