A/N: I haven't read this series in a while, but I missed writing fanfiction, and I'm most familiar with writing these characters, so... here we are. Your reviews on my old work persuaded me to write some more again, so thank you all for that! Enjoy!

Cress doesn't really love swimming in the ocean. It's too big and reminds her of space and floating aimlessly... something she's had WAY too much of in her life. Thorne still wants to teach her how to swim, though, so he introduces her to water parks. She's still a little scared of the tunnel water slides, but she enjoys pools MUCH more than the ocean (even though the ocean is prettier).

Thorne and Cress do find a quiet happiness collecting seashells though. It's not very adventurous, but Cress gets so excited when she finds shells that are super small, or super large, or super pretty, or super strange that he can't help but enjoy the activity too, if not for the fact that she's prettier in her excitement than any of the shells.

Winter loves picnics. She loves the grass between her toes and the breeze through her hair. She likes how the blue skies match Jacin's eyes. And she likes Scarlet's food. In the spring-summer months, the two couples have a lot of outdoor meals together.

Scarlet and Wolf's little ones love to play outside with Aunt Winter, and they love to rest with Uncle Jacin, who loves their innate fascination with everything (it gives him hope, though he admits it only once to Winter).

Cinder and Kai like just sitting outside together. It's peaceful and calming. It's moments like those that break them out of their busy days and horrible memories and help them remember what they're trying to protect. (It's helpful that they think the other person is so beautiful in the sunlight, too.)

Scarlet and Wolf like to sleep in during the summer. They don't really allow themselves to because of the farm and their kids, but every once in a while they let themselves bask in the comfort of each other.

Scarlet and Wolf like museums a lot though. Scarlet didn't see very many growing up and Wolf obviously didn't either. Museums help them learn why life is so beautiful and cool. It's also very cute when Wolf learns something new. (Sometimes they buy/download textbooks just for fun so they can learn together).

Cinder and Kai take lots of walks whenever they can and just talk. Not about anything serious usually. They honestly just crack each other up and make fun of each other. They remember why they love each other more each time, and it makes the political nonsense more bearable. (Sometimes they sneak inside jokes during meetings and it takes all of Kai and Cinder's willpower not to smirk.)
