I own nothing

Bellas POV

Rosalie seemed to be holding herself together well. Carly was attached to her side almost every moment that she wasn't asleep or at school. Ethan had been attached at my hip. Jasper and Alice were staying with Carlisle so he wasn't alone. It had been two weeks and we hadn't seen or heard from Edward. Esme on the other hand had been begging Carlisle to take her back. He had drawn up divorce were all sure she would be fighting him every step of the way. Emmett was still trying to deal with the fact his mother had betrayed him. We were all praying that Charlie would find him and arrest him. That he would be out of our lives for good before he did anything else to harm anyone else we loved. I was starting to worry he was planning something truly horrendous because we hadn't seen or heard from him. I found him sitting in the kitchen with his head in his hands.

"I don't understand," He said looking up at me sadly, "How could my own mother put the woman I love in danger? For that monster?"

"I don't know honey," I said grabbing his hands in mine, "I really don't understand it either. I wish I knew. I wish I knew how to make all this go away." I looked away from him. I was nearly willingly to do anything to save my family from the pain they were suffering. I heard footsteps on the stairs and saw Rosalie emerge.

"Where's Carly?" She asked me, "I thought she came down here. She said she was."

"Carly?" Emmett called out, "Where are you honey?" She didn't answer. I stood up and headed up the stairs. Emmett headed for the backyard. I reached Carly's bedroom and my phone rang. The number was unfamiliar. I swallowed hard as I answered it.

"Hello?" I choked out, "Who is this?"

"Hi Love," I heard his voice still smooth as velvet, "Are you looking for someone?"

"Edward don't hurt her," I begged, "Please."

"I won't love," He answered, "I know how much that would hurt you and I don't want to do that quiet yet. I'm not there to see it."

"Please Edward don't do this," I cried, "Please."

"Be quiet," He said, "I don't want anyone to hear us."

"Mommy," I heard Carly's voice and I nearly died because I turned around and she was standing there.

"You don't have her," I breathed out, "You don't have her." I hung up the phone and pulled her into my arms.

"Emmett," I called out, "Emmett." A moment later he appeared in the doorway followed by Rosalie.

"Where were you Carly?" I asked her softly, "Tell me sweetie."

"I was playing in my closet," She looked confused, "What's wrong Mommy?"

"Nothing honey," I said shakily, "Go down the hall and play with your brother." She nodded and ran out of the bedroom. I pulled my knees to my chest trying to keep myself together as I sat on her bedroom floor.

"He called me Emmett," I cried, "He has my phone number. He knew we didn't know where she was. He made me think he was going to hurt her. How did he know?" Emmett wrapped me up in his arms.

"I don't know honey," He answered anger covering his features, "I wish I did."

"Why is he still terrorizing me?" I whispered looking up at him, "I don't understand."

"We are going to figure this out," He spoke, "Go down the hall and sit with the kids I'm going to call Dad." Rosalie moved over to me.

"I'm sorry sweetie," She said quietly as Emmett left the room, "I wish he would just leave you alone."

"How are you so okay?" I asked her, "I...don't understand. I've spent years trying to get to where I am today. You just seem...okay."

"If I am not okay that means he wins," She told me, "I don't want him to win. I choose to be okay. You were just a child sweetie betrayed by someone who you thought loved you or at least cared about you. Someone you loved and trusted. Just think about how shocking that must of been. I knew how horrible he was. I didn't expect him to treat me nicely. I knew he was bad." I nodded not really having a response to her. I stood up and headed down to Ethan's room to find Carly reading to Ethan. Ethan crawled in my lap as soon as I sat in the chair in the corner of his room.

"I love you," I told him and kissed his forehead, "I love you and your sister." Emmett walked in the room a little while later.

"We are leaving the house," He told me, "We are staying in a hotel and Dad is hiring people to sweep the place for hidden cameras." I set out and started packing bags for myself and the kids. When had he found the time to do this to our home. Where had he gotten the money? How were we suppose to fight him if we couldn't see him but he could see us? How was I suppose to protect my children.
