Why?
Why does my idiocy get me to places not further from hell?
Stupid Tobi being stupid doing stupid shit, getting us to be stupid (more than usual) and saving his stupid ass. Actually, that's my fault… Dammit. The girls are gonna be pissed about it later.
Three brutes, typical lowlife that only beats at the smaller forms instead of biting at bigger foes. Steve, able to change the colors of objects and a threat only to fashion-sensitive people. Next to him stood Robert with the ability to emit slime from any and every inch of his body he desired, which is just plain nasty. Insert sexual joke here. But nastier than him was Greg, their leader. A peculiar individual with the ability of producing a foul odor that went from week-old bananas and dried horse turds to elephant and giraffe carcasses rotting in the sun like raisins in a heartbeat. Hard to tell why would they pick on Tobi, unless if he did something to bother them.
These guys looked like one of those shitty trios, dressed in dirty uniforms and mostly smelling like smoke. Steve looked groggy, blonde hair reaching a little above his eyes. Robert had little to no hair somewhat looking like a lightbulb and wearing a serious expression. Greg just looked annoyed, black strands sticking out everywhere and splashes of dirt on his face. Also, they should consider changing their names to something scarier. They don't sound that menacing when you think about it. Scratch that, no time to think.
Blue Bloods. Red Bloods. There was no way we could take these guys on. We ran for dear life, Greg and his crew not far behind. Though somehow this is much less scarier than being chased by a chicken. Lunch break is supposed to mean people everywhere, right? Then where the hell did everybody go?! Actually, more importantly, where did Kei go? She was running right next to- WHAT THE POTATO?!
Right on top of the hill, by the Electronics class, was a wide-eyed girl with shaking legs looking down at the smaller group of teens.
"Kei, how did you even?!" was all Zuri could manage to scream from the bottom of the hill.
"I don't know!"
We stopped, knowing Kristal isn't athletic in the slightest and wouldn't be able to catch up. We couldn't leave her behind. Looking up, Kei ran down to us at lightning speed, going far behind us and knocking out Steve. When she ran back, she took Kristal up the hill. When we snapped from the shock, we began running up too. My make-belief daughter, born from Red Bloods, was a Blue Blood.
Happiness was cut short by Greg screaming bloody murder. They had stopped chasing us. That's when we heard the bell from the distance, unable to drown the annoying voice from what is known as Greg. The rules are strict so that not too much trouble follows after the bell. Punishment is not to be taken lightly, anyone missing from a classroom will get hunted down and be tortured by boring lectures. They retreated.
Now gone, we went around the way we came and went to classes. Kei couldn't believe she was a Blue all along, neither could us. We didn't get her enrolled in E's, at least for now. Maybe Tobi did a good thing by being stupid this time…?
We know it won't be long before word spreads all over the school, but the principal won't hear from it. No one likes him. By the time the final bell had rung, we'd texted the rest of the girls to meet with us by the busses. We told them everything that happened. They were reflecting mixed emotions between joy and fear and curiosity. When everything was said and done, we parted ways before we were spotted by the bullies again. For today, Kei and I would have to get off at different stops. Kristal takes a different to a far off barrio (Spanish word for a sector of a town, you could say), so no one would follow her there. There's always cops where her and Zuri live, too. Too much excitement is never enough excitement! Sometimes… Maybe.
Let's just hope we don't get followed…
A figure lurked under the shade from nearby trees, smirking at the sight of a hidden power being born. He went unnoticed by the teenage girls hiding in a thick crowd of students, all trying to get in the busses by pushing each other off. Thinking he'd seen enough, he watched the girls part ways. His business was done. Surrounded by a pool of black, he vanished.
Here's to my late update. College is responsible for many things. Enjoy.
