After an incident during the eclipse Sokka and Azula are thrust into a game the prize is getting back home. But to win the game this two enemies must work together. What are these things called mobile suits and what is there role in this game? A crossover with all of the gundam series so that is why it is not in crossover section. First chapter is somewhat bland but needed.

Chapter 6: Sokka's tutorial 3: Operation Meteor part one

February 9, AC 195 Star Base Central America

Sokka could not keep the smile off his face as he used his crutches to limp threw the food stands that have been set up for the live combat test. With him were the three girls he slept with last night each carrying some form of food. Suki was carrying a tray with three diet cokes and a regular coke for Sokka, Yue was carrying two soft garlic parmesan pretzels, and Kaya was carrying two large bags of popcorn.

"It's surprising that Lady Une got this together in only twenty for hours." Sokka says as he looks at all of the food trucks around the base.

The girls all node in agreement as they make their way to the stands set up for military personal to assess the prototypes created at Star Base. This time it packed with not only base personal but also the fifteen families from the Winner Corporation. All of the kids were bouncing in their seats unable to sit still as they were about to see real mobile suits in action. Sokka and the girls take front row seats that had their names on them. The girls pass out the treats the bought with Sokka getting one of the pretzels and the regular coke well the girls shared the popcorn and Yue keeping her pretzel. Soon Both Lady Une and Sally Po both dressed in their full dress uniforms join the foursome with sodas in hand. The two were also extremely hung over, wearing their military issue sunglasses and Sokka could see they had noise canceler earplugs in.

Foundries and other noisy places use the earplugs to block sounds over that of the standard levels the human voice is capable of use noise canceller earplugs. They can even be used even be used to dull loud noises at certain frequencies that are at the same level as human talking.

"You two tried to out drink each other didn't you?" Sokka states to the two women.

"Yes we did and we tied. Thank god for Tylenol." Both woman say.

"You may want to turn the ear plugs up two settings. And you did an amazing job with the setup Miss Une. This will not only be good for the families here but also quite good for troop morale." Sokka tells the woman with a smile.

"It was quite hard to do but worth it. After all I have a reputation to uphold as Mr. Treize's assistant." Lady stats with a smile as she and sally take Sokka's advice.

Luna and Rasheed, who was still in the suit he ware yesterday, as he had no spare clothes, soon join them. Rasheed was carrying two soda cups, a large bag of popcorn, and a bag of snickers bites.

"How was your date?" Suki asks Luna.

"It was wonderful I'll tell you three about it later." Luna tells the girl with a smile.

"Attention every one the tests will now begin please enjoy the show." Surprisingly Bolin was behind the PA system.

"What's the bartender doing operating the PA system?" Une asks confused.

"Bolin's brother Mako got him a side job as an announcer for the mobile suit combat league." Sokka informs Une as Zechs takes a seat next to Sally with a large box of caramel corn in one hand and a coke in the other.

"Hello Instructor Zechs I see you still have a weakness for caramel corn." Sokka tells the man that he looks up to as an older brother with a smile.

"What can I say I love caramel corn and I don't get sweets often? Plus the caramel corn was just made so it's still warm, melty and delouse." Zechs says as he throws a piece of caramel corn up before catching it in his mouth.

On the field

"This test will be conducted in the form of a battle royal the same as the Mobile suit combat league. Introducing first we have the last prototype of OZ's newest transforming space fighter mobile suit. This suit has been modified for atmospheric flight I give you the OZ-12SMS-AF Taurus mobile suit. My brother Mako is piloting the Taurus. It is equipped with a new large beam cannon, the latest model Leo beam rifle, and a pair of beam saber. It is also equipped with my big brothers favorite weapons two ultra-high heat flamethrowers that are capable of overheating a mobile suit. It also has the lighting whip a weapon used for capturing mobile suits via a dose of high voltage electricity. The weapons are located in the arms of the mobile suit. " Bolin announced as the dark blue and gold Taurus Mobile suit in fighter mode flies over the stands at high speeds.

The Taurus preforms several corkscrews before transforming midair into mobile suit mode and lands at the far end of the test field. It fires several gold colored beam shots at several large targets with its beam rifle before drawing its large beam cannon. It locks on to several targets before firing its powerful blast taking out all of the targets in one shot.

"That was some impressive speed agility and firepower. The Tauris mobile suit will be competing against the latest aquatic prototype the OZ-MMS-P09 Cancer." the cancer rises from the sea.

The OX-MMS-P09 is a prototype aquatic mobile suit that has the shape of a crab with propellers on its claws and a massive square head. Unlike the mobile suits soon to be, mass produced counterpart the prototype has large square legs that attach themselves together in its aquatic mobile armor form. This gives the mobile suit the shape of a horseshoe crab and is painted a dull grey color. The legs were remove to decrease weight for better control of its submersion capabilities. However, this makes the mass produced Cancer a pure aquatic use transformable mobile suit. The cancer released its missiles from its shoulder claws taking out several targets.

"Next we have the OZ-05MSNTTT-SUC, a custom Leo built to test out new armor and some unique weapons and technology. The unit also saved the gests siting in the stands today. Do to the injuries this Leo's developer and pilot Sokka Umi sustained yesterday a special pilot will be taking over today. The pilot is the one the only Treize Khushrenada leader of OZ and the Rose Duelist." Bolin stats as Treize flies into the battle field in Sokka's Leo.

"This one of a kind Leo is equipped with several new weapons. Are next contender is also an OZ-05MSTTT Leo piloted by Valder Farkill. This suit is equipped with new enemy location devices, improved targeting systems, sensors, and a new type of beam machine gun with a beam bayonet installed on the end. The pilot chose a standard flight pack for the backpack. It is also equipped with Valder's customized Leo shield baring the nine headed hydra upon it that the pilot panted himself." Bolin announced as the next Leo flew onto the scene painted in a deep black color that seemed to suck in all light.

This black has the standard square shaped square mono eye camera in an evil looking blood red color. The Leo has special visor that has a large circle shaped blood red sensor that drops down over the main camera. This scope gave Valder's Leo unprecedented targeting capabilities in all ranges of combat.

Some of the people in the stands could feel the shear bloodlust the pilot exuded. The black mobile suit also scared all of the children in the stands. Sokka and Treize both sensed the children's fear and unconsciously began releasing a calm comforting warmth using their Newtype abilities. Sokka blocked Valder's bloodlust from the children well the warm calming presence of Treize calmed the children down as he stepped between Valder and the crowd.

A Newtype is the next stage of human evolution that is extraordinarily rare. There physical abilities are the same as the Oldtype or normal humans however there evolved mind grants them several enhanced abilities like a danger sense that allows them to react faster than a normal person, telepathic capabilities and other abilities like understanding how a machine works but these vary from person to person. There full abilities are unknown. One theory on how Newtypes evolved is so they could connect with their family after they have been separated by emigration to the space colonies and the moon.

"Now we have are last suit is an OZ-07AMS-NTT Aries mobile suit outfitted with new beam cannons to replace the missile launchers. A pair of beam machine guns is also equipped to the suit. To make up for the higher demand of energy the suit has a stronger fusion reactor and better aerial abilities. It also has a hand carried machine gun and a beam rifle with a heat sword attached to it. Its pilot is Sam Body" Bolin announces the last participant of the tests. The Aries is painted in a blue and green color scheme.

"As the basic tests were done a few days ago the live combat test will now be conducted. This battle will take place as a battle royal. The only rules are no targeting the cockpit or generator. When a unit loses its head or all of its limbs, the suit will be out of the match. These rules are the same as that of the Mobile Fight games held twice a month by both the military and civilians. Mobile Fight ready?" Bolin announces to the crowed.

On the battlefield

Treize who is wearing his personal light blue astro suit as a way to lead by example for when the pilot suits come out, sits in the cockpit of Sokka's mobile suit and considers the test carefully. The Col was debating who to take out first, Valder in the black Leo or the Aeries with its massive arsenal or the Tauris as it is the official next generation of space type mobile suits. He decided he should take out the Aries when the announcer yells, "go" over the intercom. Treize fires up the thrusters on his Leo and the strong g forces the suit puts on him as he rockets past the other mobile suit surprise him.

"That kid can handle the g forces this suit puts on him like it's nothing and I am not at top speed yet. I'm either impressed or scared that the boy could turn a Leo into a Tallgeese. Now to test my opponent's skill, hmm so many weapons to choose from I'll try the waist beam saber guns." Treize tells himself as he rolls and takes a shot at the new Aires mobile suit. The dark green beams fire off from the waist of the suit and his opponent dodged the shots.

"He is competent as a pilot." Treize tells himself as he dodged the shots fired from the Aries beam machine guns. Treize preforms several high-speed zigzag maneuvers to dodge the Aries as it takes off.

Treize's opponent takes advantage of the Aries unique form to enter a dogfight with the Leo.

With Valder

Valder smiled cruelly as he charged the aquatic cancer mobile suit as it started retreating into the ocean. The cancer fires a volley of missiles at Valder who shot them all down with his beam machine gun well still moving forward. Valder continued to shoot at the mobile suit hitting in its left arm destroying the shoulder and pincer. The beam shots also cause the stored missiles to blow up damaging the suit. Using the smoke billowing up Valder continues to rush the unit and upon arriving at the amphibious mobile suit cuts off its head.

"So you want a piece of me too." Valder tells himself as he dodged the blast of super high heat flames shot at him by Mako. Valder had to use his beam bayonet to block the fallow up beam saber strike Mako made with his left hand and use his shield to block the second beam saber strike from its right hand. The hydra Valder painted on his shield was not just for show as the entire makeup of the paint was anti-beam coating to allow the shield to last far longer than a normal Leo shield.

Valder disengaged from the power struggle with the Taurus when Mako fires the forearm mounted flamethrower at him in an attempt to overheat Valder's Leo. Gaining enough range to attack with his beam machine gun Valder fires at Mako who managed to dodge by transforming and taking to the air in a vertical launch. Valder fallows Mako into the sky and but even with the lighter weight of the neo titanium armor Valder knew he would not keep up with the new machine.

Instead, he waited for Mako to start attacking him again. When Mako performs a high speed, half loop Valder fires on Mako with his beam machine gun destroying the Taurus left wing forcing Mako to change back to mobile suit mode. Mako was close enough to swing his lighting whip at Valder. Valder however cuts the whip off with the beam bayonet as he throws one of his beam sabers like a buzz saw however, Mako managed to fire his maneuvering thrusters so only the top of section of his Taurus is severed from the suit. Mako however does not avoid the fallow up shot from Valder's beam machine gun that finshed the job of removing the units head.

"With that Valder has removed two out the four pilots from the match." Bolin angrily announced.

Valder flips a switch on the control council that activates a small but powerful winch. The winch that is hooked to the beam saber Valder just threw reeling it back in and deactivating the blade. Valder then takes in Treize's battle. His time would soon be here; he would beat Treize and become the new leader of OZ.

With Treize

Treize after testing his opponent flips the switch to drop the extra equipment ejecting the cannon parts of shields and the stabilizers needed to fire the shell fired cannon. this action reveals that the shields have twin thrusters installed were the cannon attached to the shield. This form is called full -speed mode. Treize then activates the forearm beam canon in sword mode its dark green blade deploys as he increasing his speed cuts off and the head of the Aires he is then forced to increase his thrusters output to its maximum to avoid the shot from Valder's beam machine gun. He hears several of his ribs break as the g forces increase to from 2-17 in three seconds. He flings the unique weapon on the mobile suit as he performs his maneuver, a extremely overpowered beam boomerang with a power rating of 30 megawatts of power. The beam boomerang flies through the air Valder dodges thinking Treize used one of his beam sabers as a projectile. The boomerang comes back around and decapitates Valder's Leo. Treize catches the boomerang as it makes its return trip.

"And the winner of the battle royal is Treize Khushrenada." Bolin screams with excitement at the unexpected victory over the crowd's loud applause. Treize lands the Leo.

February 23rd, AC 195

Sokka gulped as he waited for his queue to enter the stage. He was receiving the UASA highest military honor, the Eagle Wings and Cross Medal of Honor and Field Marshal Noventa head of the UASA military himself is presenting it to him. Sokka knew from his implanted memories of this time line that Novotna was a friend of his grandfather on his mother's side. Seventeen years ago, he walked his mother down the aisle in place of his late grandfather who died saving the man's life during the last war. He felt honored that this great man who is a vocal an advocate of demilitarization was giving him Medal of Honor.

"Now without farther ado I present to you the youngest person to receive the Eagle Wings and Cross Metal of Honor, and a promotion Major. Sokka Umi." Sokka hears his queue and walks onto the stage from the right side of it.

Field Marshal Novotna's grandfatherly smile helped Sokka calm down as he stepped up to him. "Just take a deep breath before your speech," Novotna whispers to Sokka as he placed the medal over his head. Sokka shakes Novotna's hand before stepping up to the podium to give a speech.

As Sokka takes a deep breath, he looks over the crowed starting from the left side of the room and is shocked to see a large picture of his mother and father set in the front row. Sitting next to his mother's picture is his grandmother dressed in her full dress uniform. For some reason sitting next to, Gran-Gran was a man who looked just like Master Pakku from the northern Water Tribe who is dressed in a JAG officer's uniform. Sitting next to Pakku was his sister dressed in a nice dark blue dress and blouse. Next to his sister was Relena Darlian wearing a similar white dress and sweater combo. Another shocking thing was that Vice-Foreign Minister Michael Darlian dressed in a full tuxedo (I am using his American voice actor's first name for Darlian's first name) was sitting next to his wife Mareen Darlian dressed in a nice black dress with a white sweater over it. Sitting next to Mrs. Darlian is Zechs Merquise dressed in his full red dress uniform complete with metals and he replaced his signature helmet with a pair of dark sunglasses. Next to Zechs is a beautiful woman with her purple hair cut short, a pair of long well shaped legs, and has a decent set of c cup breasts. This is LT Col. Lucrezia Noin a lifelong friend of Zechs and she was wearing her standard green specials dress uniform. Sokka also noticed that she was holding Zechs hand with a light blush on her face. Next to Noin are Lady Une and Treize both in full formal military dress uniforms. Next to Treize is Rashid Kimora in his old black military dress uniform and sitting next to him is Luna Winner in a black dress with a black sweater. Sokka also sees several members of his graduating class and to his surprise, every one there to support him had smiles that said they are proud of him.

Sokka recalled all the members of his class were extremely hard on him. In his hand-to-hand combat classes, they beat the hell out of him for the first two months, in simulator training they ganged up on him, and during the obstacle course, they made sure he is knocked to the ground at least 16 times during each session. The only class he held his own in was knife fighting and the optional sword fighting class. However, instead of braking Sokka down this harsh treatment pushed him to new heights of combat abilities. The biggest bully of the class an 18 year old who's sir name was Jack Farkill, Valder Farkill's younger brother and he stood at about 6'2".

Farkill was the first person Sokka defeated in hand to hand. Later an angry Farkill ambushed him and started beating him down. The next thing Sokka knew Farkill is being pulled off him. The next day in hand to hand combat class Zechs put Farkill through the bullring and the other members of the class beat Farkill so badly he was released from Lake Victoria do to how long it would take him to recover. When Sokka asked his class why they went so hard on Farkill who was the best student at the time, they revealed they were so hard on Sokka and would continue to be because they wanted him to succeed, as he was the classes little brother and the Mad Scientist of lake Victoria. This support pushed Sokka to beat all of Zechs's records and saw that he graduated at the top of his class.

"First of all I am happy that someone put the pictures of my parents in the front row. This means more to me than you will ever know." Sokka says as he steps to the side of the podium and bows to the crowed. He then steps back up to the podium and begins to speck again.

"I have to say I would never have been able to do what I did if my classmates from Lake Victoria were not as hard as they were on me. However, two months into the hell I went through I learned that they were so hard on me because they wanted me to be the best I could be and that I was the classes little brother. This is what pushed me to be the top of my class and made me the man I am today. I also feel that I do not deserve this honor as I did what I felt a good soldier should do and that is protect civilians regardless of nationality, race, creed, or religion . However, as I am receiving this honor I will gladly accept it with great humility and honor. I vow to do my best to uphold my new positon with honor befitting a both an officer and a recipient of this metal. Thank you." Sokka says finishing his speech with another bow.

"Before you step off the stage I understand Col. Treize wants to present you with a gift." Noventa says holding a wireless microphone.

Sokka watches as Treize walks up to the left side of the stage disappearing from view for a couple seconds as he slips behind the certain. He reappears carrying case about six feet long and wearing a headset microphone. Treize sets down the case on a table that a soldier set up well he made his way up.

"Mgr. Sokka I ask that you kneel before me." Treize asks Sokka.

Sokka does as he asks and Treize draws his personal rapier.

"I Treize Khushrenada Duke of Romefeller dub you Sir Sokka Umi, Dark knight of Romefeller." Treize says as he taps Sokka with his sword on each of the boy's shoulders.

"Rise Sir Sokka." Treize says as he sheaths his blade. Sokka rises from his kneeling position with a large smile on his face.

"Also as I broke you swords two weeks and one day ago in a sparring match." Treize says as he steps up to the table and opens the case. The case reveals a shuangshou jian witch is a two handed Jain with a blade length of up to 5 and 1/4th inches and this swords blade is four feet long. The hilt consisted of a cross guard. One part of the guard is the head of a silver wolf well other is a gold eagle head. The handle is wrapped with black leather. The pummel is a red phoenix.

"I had this Shuangshou Jian made out of Gundanium and the blade treated to be black. This blade will never brake on you Sir Sokka. The engraving was Luna Winners idea. The silver wolf represents your linage as the sun of the Artic Wolf Hakoda Umi well the eagle head represents your trainer Zechs Merquise. The phoenix represents you as from your record you always seem to rise from your injuries stronger than before." Treize tells Sokka with a smile as he hands the sheathed sword to Sokka.

Sokka draws the sword from its sheath reveling its black blade, engraved on the blade is a quote. "Because he's the hero Gotham deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So we'll hunt him. Because he can take it. Because he's not our hero. He's a silent guardian. A watchful protector. A Dark Knight. - Commissioner James Gordon in The Dark Knight." Sokka reads the quote aloud before sheathing the blade.

I have been a fan of Christopher Nolan's dark knight trilogy since I watched it on the Turner movie classics with my dad when I was six. And I feel it fits how a soldier should be." Sokka says before stepping down and going back stage. He promptly falls down on his butt from holding back his nerves.

"That was a good speech Sokka, coke?" Treize asks Sokka as he holds a glass bottle of coke out for him. Since Sokka was underage, the brass felt it would be nice to have age appropriate beverages and since Romefeller was footing the bill the brass is serving only top shelf spirits and wine they also bought glass bottles of colas and other sodas. (Glass bottles in my opinion have the best flavor when it comes to cola as glass does not taint the flavor as plastic or aluminum does.)

"Thank you." Sokka says as opens the soda and takes a pull off it.

"Glass bottle soda is much better than plastic or aluminum." Sokka says with a smile.

"How would you like to work in the best mobile suit development facility OZ has to offer, Cosmos Base in North America. You will be able to hand pick your staff as well." Treize asks Sokka with a smile.

"Will I still be able to get my hands dirty, work on my own machine and not be sitting behind a desk?" Sokka asks Treize with an eyebrow raised.

"Of course you will be able to get your hands dirty if you want you will also be able to stay in your hanger as you are now but you will also have a staff to help you develop your technology. You will also get the money from all the patients you have filed." Treize says with a smile.

"Then I will take the transfer but I want no arguments on my staff choices." Sokka says with a smile.

"That will not be a problem as not only is Cosmos base one of the few bases that are controlled solely by OZ, I also happen to be stationed there so your staff choices will be approved." Treize tells Sokka with a smile.

"Good". Sokka responds with a smile as he takes another pull from his coke.

"One more thing I have a picture to show you." Treize says as he takes his smart phone from his holder. He pulls off his glove and allows the scanner to take his DNA and fingerprints then opens his picture gallery. He pulls up a photo and hands his phone to Sokka.

"THAT'S TALLGEESE KAI's frame." Sokka loudly states as he stares at the phone.

"Mr. Winners thank you for saving his daughter and employees lives. He will make the frame and armor it but you will need to install the armaments as he refuses to make weapons. However, he will reinforce the arms and hands with Gundanium so it can handle the weight of the Broad Poleaxe. It will be ready on May 7th." Treize says with a smile on his face.

"Thank you my lord." Sokka says with a smile.

"You are welcome Sir Sokka I except you to have the Kai's weapons ready by May first. I will also expect you to spare with me at least three days a week. Now come with me you need to mingle and I believe you haven't seen your family since you graduated from Lake Victoria." Treize says with a smile.

Sokka spent the rest of the ceremony talking with his family and getting to know his sisters best friend and her family.

After transferring to cosmos base Sokka together with Treize would visit the nearby army memorial museum were his father's custom painted Tallgeese was on display. Some of his father's ashes are interred in the cockpit. Unlike the Tallgeese in storage in Brussels this unit had, everything needed to operate but the cockpit removed. It was a display only piece. it was painted a mix of black and red with 06 printed on its left shoulder, his mother Kya's name on the right shoulder, Katara's name on the right skirt thruster, Sokka's name on the left thigh thruster, Kana painted on the left leg and pa written on the right leg. Sokka would leave a single red rose in front of the Tallgeese well Treize sets a large bottle of Jack Daniels.

April 7th AC 195,

Sokka was two miles away from Cosmos Base testing his finished sonic imaging horn. He also was testing the improvements to his AI Scorn and during the month and a half Scorn has been online the AI had become self-aware and viewed Sokka as his father.

"The SIH is working perfectly now Dad." Scorns childlike voice tells Sokka as he analyzed the data.

"Dad a meteorite struck down fifty miles from base." Scorn informs Sokka.

"Could it be Operation Meteor? Scorn informs the base that I am on my way to investigate." Sokka tells scorn as he switches back to his normal camera and jets off toward the location of the meteor hit. Erring on side of cosign Sokka takes 30 minutes to get to the meteors location. At the location, Sokka finds a spherical reentry capsule that is big enough to hold a mobile suit, some spare parts, and ammo.

"Dad I am picking up traces of Gundanium and some form of jamming particle from the capsule. The particle trail is leading toward the MS production facilities at Cosmos base." Scorn tells Sokka before a massive exploding comes from the base. Sokka fires up his thrusters and using his suits extreme speed arrives at star base in five minutes.

Arriving at Cosmos base Sokka sees a mobile suit sliced vertically in half by nothing. A green flash appears in front of his forehead as he dodges a projectile the size of a small shield.

"Scorn, switch to SIH view and use every piece of scanning equipment we have and that you can tap into to gather data on the enemy." Sokka orders his mechanical son. Quickly his screen switches from full color to a high detail wire frame black and white display. Sokka sees that his opponent is mobile suit that stands a little taller than his is. The suit has a look more like that of samurai armor then the knight armor of the Zodiac class mobile suits and is built to look like a mechanical grim reaper with bat like pauldrons. Its main weapon is a beam scythe that was as long as the enemy suit is tall. It is armed with head mounted vulcan guns and clavicle mounted machine cannons.

Sokka retaliates with a full powered dark gray colored shot from his clavicle mounted beam machine guns cannon mode. The enemy suit easily dogged the shot responds with a salvo from its clavicle machine cannons as it rushes Sokka. Sokka evades the machine cannon rounds and seeing the speed that his opponent is approaching Sokka activates his forearm cannons beam saber mode to block the weapons strike.
