Chapter 5: The Secret Underground

Arriving at the hillside, Jin and Yugo noticed the same place where Shep was buried by the alien bands who were rescued by him. Daigo now wears his casual clothing to examine the place.

"Most of the time, a lot of students visit here during New Year's Day. But sometimes they always go to the temple."

"Yeah this place... is very peace and quiet." Yugo commented and Jin tries to think about Earl's location.

"There's no way that Earl's base would be in this place...?"

"Hey brother...?! Over here...?"

Yugo and the others saw Kenji is in the tree while standing on the tree trunk and finally found them at last in the hillside.

"Kenji, you supposed to stay with Gado and the others from my base?" Yugo said scolding his brother as Kenji gets off the tree trunk and facing his step-older brother.

"Brother, I can't stay without you getting hurt again. I want to protect you just like you saved me from Busuzima." Kenji reacted wanted to stay with his step-older brother as Jin tells him.

"I never thought your brother is here to help, Yugo. Do you remember that he saved you from being hit by Earl's soldiers?"

Yugo remembers when he and Jin are staying in the hotel along with Kenji when they were investigating about the CD that Gado gave them as one of Earl's men tries to hit him with a bow gun as Kenji saves him from being hit as he got hit instead.

"Okay, Kenji, since you saved me from being hit by those idiots. You can come along."Yugo finally let his brother go with them as he smiles excitedly.

"Alright! Thank you, brother...!"

"I forgot to tell you, Jin. My brother Kenji is also a Zoanthrope like me." Yugo said telling him. "But his form is a mole."

"A mole rat?"

"It's a mole, Jin." Yugo corrected. "Don't add the word 'rat'?"

"So this kid is able to transform into an animal like you?" Daigo asked and Yugo answers.

"Well we Zoanthropes are able to transform into animal-human hybrids. But I realize that Kenji is a very skilled ninjutsu. I heard from that jackass Busuzima that he trains the art of ninjutsu from Kato school of ninjas."

"You mean he's a ninja...?" Ryu nodded.

"I never realizes that he was taught by Ryuzo Kato or known as the original Bakuryu the Mole." Yugo explained. "When my brother was brainwashed by Busuzima, they made him as a cold blooded ninja assassin after he beats me up and kidnapped him. I managed to snap him out from brainwashing when I defeat Kenji twice."

"So you were examining the hillside that we stepped on?" Kenji asked and he heard noises from the underground. "I can hear noises coming from the underground."

"What?!"

"Yeah... it's feels familiar? This sounds is kinda eerie to me." Ryu nodded as he hears it and Kenji knows this and decides to investigate.

"Brother... I need to check inside the underground."

"Kenji, don't get yourself captured, all right." Yugo said letting his brother to investigate the underground.

"Yugo, I think moles are able to dig underground." Jin said telling him as Yugo has an idea for his brother, Kenji.

"Kenji, why don't you transform into your mole form? Like Jin says moles can dig underground."

"Hey...? You were right...? I am indeed a Zoanthrope and I can transform." Kenji smiles as he transforms into his mole form as the top of his ninja garb is shredded as he starts digging with his large claws and they watched him digging a hole on the ground.

"Wow...? I've never seen a kid can dig." Ryu said amazed to the young one's skill even he's in mole form.

"If only if I try to have digging claws like he does." Daigo said calmly and Yugo smiles seeing Kenji dig the hole and cheers his brother.

"You can do it, Kenji..."

Kenji continues to dig while in his mole form as he found the way out and he goes down on the ground and reverts to his normal state but remains in shirtless after his top is in shreds. He discovered an enemy base and it was Earl's underground base.

"Holy moly...? This underground base is huge..." Kenji amazed to see the enemy's base and he hides to see some of Earl's men were guarding the doors he follows the guards using his camouflage techniques.

Kenji saw other Zoanthropes are in cased in floating crystals, seeing this mess they made up and he saw Earl is talking to Relius Clover who made his artificial body for him and to find out that Earl's artificial body is temporary.

Who is this man in a opera mask? He's from the other game too? I have to warn brother and his friends about this.

"Who are you?" One of Earl's soldiers tries to hit Kenji as he managed to escape while he uses the fake jutsu to fake the enemy's attack. Kenji manages to dispatch the soldiers by throwing kunais as he found the way out. Two of Earl's soldiers are pursuing him and Kenji was hiding in a bush using a camouflage jutsu.

"Phew... that was a close call. So this must be the entrance of their underground base? I'd better warn my brother about this." Kenji quickly runs and went back to the hillside as he teleports.

At the hillside, Yugo, Jin, Ryu and Daigo saw Kenji arrives but is very exhausted.

"Kenji... did you find anything in the underground, you look exhausted?" Yugo said worried to his brother.

"Brother...huff... huff... I found their underground base and it was really deep. The real entrance was on the forest... I just dug from here up to their ceiling... " Kenji said in exhaustion.

"Now that we found Earl's location. We need to find a shelter to rest." Jin said and he asks Daigo. "Daigo, do you have a place to take a rest?"

"Well Akira and I usually have a house but she's in Seijyun dorms right now."

"I think we can stay in his place first before we plan to stop him." Ryu suggested as Jin agrees to his suggestion to stay at Daigo's house.

At Daigo's house, Kenji finally tells them about what happened inside of Earl's underground base and Yugo was furious to see what Earl did.

"That stupid Earl...? He's gonna make him pay for this!"

"So the underground base was indeed in this game. Not just about the burning high school building? But this is where Earl takes upon his revenge." Jin said coldly to Earl's actions.

"There's no way it has a secret underground. On this game we came from, How would that old man would do such a thing?" Daigo replied angrily as Ryu remembers what happened to his game.

"This is just like what happened to the game that I came from. He's going to destroy it that must be the cause of the short circuit."

"What?!"

"You mean... Earl made this underground base to make this game goes into short circuit. He's really insane after all." Jin said angrily and Kenji fell in the sofa as he fasts asleep.

"Kenji?!" Yugo shouted and becomes relieved to see his brother was asleep. "I thought that he's sick... he's just asleep."

"There's no need to worry about your brother, Yugo." Ryu said as he patted him. "He seems to be very tired."

"Brother...? Jin, Ryu... I'm glad to see you again and who's this guy?" Akira arrives in the Kazama's house and Jin noticed her.

"Akira... I...uh...?" Jin said as he turns around and blushing. "I never knew she would be here."

"Don't worry, she always prepared meals only just the two of us. So make yourselves at home the three of you."

After Akira arrives in their house, she explains to them why she came back home which is a surprise to her older brother, Daigo and Ryu.

"Wow... I never thought you will never return home for many months before it struck Holiday." Daigo said shockingly to his sister as he tells her in relief. "But I'm glad that you're back..."

"That's when I told everyone at Seijyun High including Yurika and Zaki about my condition that I was rescued by you and Jin from any kinds of danger." Akira explained shyly. "Until our principal heard of what happened to me, she was impressed after seeing that I was safe and sound so she allows me get home to see you and Jin for the time being."

"Lucky for her, I've never seen that she was allowed to get home to see you, Daigo." Ryu smiled calmly as Daigo sighs in relief and he explains to him.

"The all-girls Seijyun High School where Akira has been transferred to was a bit far from Aoharu City. Their principal in their school was very notorious than the ones in Gorin High who had a rivalry at my school in Gedo. All girls who studied in that school including my sister was strictly prohibited in getting home if it's not a holiday so that they can only stay at Seijyun dorms until they graduate. Only they could get home if some Holiday events such as Christmas. That's why my sister moved from our house to Seijyun dorms."

"It's not like what Jin had studied there though." Ryu nodded as he remembers what Jin told him reminiscing about how he and Akira went to Seijyun dorms before she was kidnapped by Kurow. "He once told me that he went with her to Seijyun dorms to change her clothes. So he waited for her to come out."

"Haha... I knew this would happen... Despite it's strict policies they did not see Jin unnoticed. It was a clever situation as I thought." Daigo laughs happily after hearing of this.

Outside of Daigo's house, Yugo finally knows his base and wanted to save Alice and the rest of the Zoanthropes like him. Jin arrives and knowing that he wants to save them.

"Guess that you're going to save them, aren't you Yugo?" Jin said calmly and Yugo looked at him who is serious enough to help him.

"Sometimes, I'm very impulsive to others. But I don't mind if you were here..."

"I just let Ryu and Daigo to stay for a while and your brother is with them too." Jin said while looking at the window where Ryu and Daigo are trying to prepare to infiltrate Earl's underground base.

"Jin... Is it okay to help me out? If Kenji was saying was true that the old's jackass base was deep underground? Why don't we go to where my brother just dug up the ground earlier?"

"I suppose you're right... that would be the way to find your friend." Jin said in a serious manner.

"Thank you, Jin...? Let's do it..." Yugo said thankfully.

Later at daylight, Jin and Yugo are now trying to investigate the hole where his brother dug earlier as Yugo fixes the sleeves of his white undershirt from his orange vest.

"This is going to mess things up."

"Let's go then..." Jin said while fixing his detachable gauntlets and both went inside.

They walked on the digging hole and they found the way out of the hole.

"This is the end of the hole, Yugo." Jin smirked and Yugo sees this.

"All right, Here we go!"

Both Jin and Yugo jumped down on the ground and seeing that they are in Earl's underground base.

"Kenji, was right... his base is huge."

"Much like in the military base...?" Jin commented.

"We have to find Alice and fast." Yugo said as both he and Jin goes to find Alice.

Both managed to dispatch the soldiers silently and they went inside and Yugo was surprised to see few of the Zoanthropes are the same as he is.

"No way...? We have to get them out of here?"

"Yeah... but they are still unconscious." Jin said and they heard a lady's loud voice.

"Yugo! Yugo! I'm over here...!"

"That voice...! Alice?!" Yugo exclaimed while yelling and seeing that Alice was inside of the incased crystal like the rest and wants to get her out of the crystal. "Hang on, Alice?! I'll get you out of... UWAHHHH!"

"Yugo, are you all right?" Jin said worried and Yugo gritted his teeth seeing that it was protected by the electric barrier.

"Damn it...? I can't set her free...?"

Jin wants to save her as he uses the Avenger unblockable move and he was electrocuted while the red lightning is able to absorb the barrier. Jin manages to destroy the barrier as Yugo smashes the incased crystal and saves Alice as she wears a purple and white sleeveless collared dress.

"Thank you, Yugo..." Alice said as she hugs him.

"It's okay, Alice... we need you and the rest to get out of here." Yugo said nicely to her and Jin sensed this as he gets both down with a gun shot.

"I don't believe this...?" Jin grunted and Earl arrives in the scene along with his men.

"You fools are trying to get her as the vessel of my plans. Perhaps this is the end of the road."

"I had enough of this... you stupid old man...? I will never forgive you for this." Alice said angrily towards them and she stands up and begins to transform into her rabbit form.

"Alice don't transform into a rabbit yet?! You know what will...?" Yugo tries to stop her from transforming but it's too late.

Alice transforms into a rabbit as her dress is in shreds leaving her wearing a little left of her dress which is a scarf and she goes to attack Earl's men. She beats most of it and she manages to dispatch Earl knocking him down. When Earl tries to aim with his gun. Alice manages to defeat him much to both Jin and Yugo's surprise.

"Wow... she's tough as I thought." Jin said amazed to her skills as Yugo was angrily terrified towards her.

"She never listen to me isn't she... Just like I left in the hospital without medical attention trying to force myself to save Kenji while in my injured state."

Alice then reverts to normal as she was left naked much to her embarrassment.

"Wahhh! My clothes are gone?" Alice covers herself since both men are here with her as Jin turns around and being shooed.

"Oh dear...?"

"I already told you, don't transform..." Yugo said angrily disappointed to her and he reluctantly goes to her as he turns around and removing his vest while taking off his shirt as he gives his white shirt to her. "Here put my shirt on...?"

"Thanks, Yugo...? Sorry that I didn't listen to you...?" Alice said thanking him as she apologizes to him for not listening to him and finally put his shirt on and Yugo put his orange mini-vest back on.

"We need to get out of here, Jin?"

The trio proceeds to escape the underground base and Busuzima arrives now recovered his injured arm and ambushes them.

"Well now... the rabbit and the wolf are now escaping. This is going to be a huge take down with each and every one of you."

"I broke your arm once, Busuzima. I'm going to beat you right here." Jin said as his fists are embedded with red lightning.

"We'll see about that." Busuzima transforms into his chameleon form and attacks Jin. To his surprise, Jin transforms into Devil Jin as his black sleeveless shirt is been shredded as a destructive fight begins.

"Who is this guy, Yugo?" Alice asked.

"That's Jin... Alice he's from the Tekken game and he helps me to rescue you." Yugo answered and cheers Jin to beat him. "You can do it Jin, try and pulverize that asshole out of here...!"

Both men are equally matched as it goes in a devastating battle and comes the fight between a devil and a chameleon.
