For Shiranai Atsune – sempai
We're halfway through the promised ten-chapter fanfic request! Just felt like updating before the fourth quarter starts…which tomorrow… T_T
I feel like I owe Shiranai Atsune-sempai another fanfic because I feel like I'm doing this half-buttedly. Okay, that's settled!
Yoshaaa! This is a swing back and forth from past to present again.
Disclaimer: Suishou Yusaburu belongs to Shiranai Atsune-sempai and Inazuma Eleven to the Level 5 peeps. In short, I own nothing.
6: His Yuki-Onna
Legends say she mesmerized men; truth says he captivated her.
"Kantoku," A blue-haired teen piped up during their break. "I got news from Raimon that their coach, Endou Mamoru, is married," He continued, tone sounding innocent yet full of ulterior motives. "Yukimura-kun," Fubuki smiled knowingly. "What are you trying to say?"
"Shouldn't you be too?"
"Of course not!" Suishou answered hastily in an attempt to hide her blush. Otonashi was just as confused as the three other managers sitting on one table. "You seem to like hanging out with him more than with any other guy," Aki said in defense. Fuyuka was no different. "And every girl always has dreams of getting married before thirty~!" She chimed along. To prove her point, Natsumi coughed and looked away from the others to cover her embarrassment. The three other managers giggled at her.
"You girls are too caught up in your fantasies," Suishou bit the inside of her cheek, still embarrassed. "Aw, come on, Suishou-chan," Otonashi urged her with a smile. "Quit being stubborn," Aki added as well.
"I'm fourteen years old," The blackette with white streaked-bangs tried to argue, "I don't think I'm being stubborn, I'm being realistic—"
"About this," Fubuki scratched the back of his head, managing a smile at his teenage protégé, "I'd like to tell you a secret," He said, about to remove his hand hidden in his pocket when a brunette girl with demanding seagreen eyes approached the two of them. "Break's over, Yukimura," She crossed her arms, "And Kantoku, you're playing favorites with him – we're going to have another Keshin battle because of this." She muttered impatiently as Yukimura skidded back to the ice field. "Gomen, gomen, Okinaru-kun," Fubuki laughed (A/N: Mizugameza Okinaru is Jer-bear's OC, just so you peeps know. :B). "Let's head back to the field now."
Just as the curly-haired captain raced back to the field, already barking orders at Shirosaki and the rest, Fubuki's pocket rang. Rather, his phone did. "Moshi moshi?"
"Care to pick me up at the doctor's?" Fubuki smiled to himself. That bossy voice always made him do so.
"I'll be there."
Suishou Yusaburu was the ideal repellant.
Back at her old school Galourmore, boys disregarded the status of 'single and will kill you if you try anything' that Suishou had proudly held on her head like some bounty, so a lot of them made huge passes at her despite the cold looks and blue bruises they got in the end. Aside from her adoptive siblings Tomoshibi Gyousei, Sanada Ran and Amadare Kyougisha, Yusaburu made sure she was off-limits to every other breathing creature of the academy. And she was definitely not going to have herself drawn to anyone.
The only difference between her and a yuki-onna was the willingness to keep men away than close.
Fubuki Shirou was a definite people person; all people of the Fubuki bloodline were. So when he'd found out there was a playroom just nearby Dr. Kazuya's clinic, he decided to make a short detour. 'Just for a while,' He had promised.
As much as he was too humble to admit, the kids had taken a great liking to him, which in turn had caused the nurses to make passes at him; apparently being a kid magnet was a requirement for every girl's boyfriend standard. The present doctor, Doctor Kusama, hadn't minded when the Prince of Snow had entered since he had around six theses to review for or something.
It was a shrimp with raven hair and curious amber eyes that had first discovered his little secret.
"Ne, ne, Fubuki-chan," Inari, her name literally meaning shrimp, grabbed Fubuki's left hand, amazed at the shiny band enclosed around the finger. Upon seeing the obvious engagement ring, it wasn't just the children expressing their disappointment— the nurses were too subtle. "But Fubu-chan," A redheaded Karin pouted, "How can we marry you now?" This, apparently, got all the girls and some of the boys hogging and glomping the surprised yet confusedly flattered silver-haired Shirou.
Oh, who was she kidding— she was jealous out of her mind!
Every child and every woman and every single girl within their age range flirted with him. Well of course Fubu-kun was no doubt one of the popular soccer players of Inazuma Japan, but…but…who was she kidding, Fubuki Shirou was hands down the one!
Suishou slapped herself on both cheeks. "Get a grip. He's never going to like a man-hating yuki-onna like you," She assured herself.
Sure, she had always been confident of herself for all the right reasons. She was highly intellectual, that's why she was bumped up a year higher for the right studying environment; she was beautiful, any boy who got rejected by her could attest to that; she was independent, and even Fubuki knew this by heart. 'But why does it feel like I'm not good enough?' Suishou's face cringed. Since when had she ever been this insecure?
"Love does that to people,"
Fubuki smiled. His sister-figure Megamino Sokudone always had crazy rants about what love was capable of. Well since she was a matchmaker it could just be that, but Soku-nee knew there was more to just this and just that. And she was as sharp as Kidou was on the field…except hers was in the field of romance. "Gomen, minna," He stood up, careful not to hit any toddler, "But I have to go pick up my future wife now," He smiled gingerly as he headed towards the door.
His stubborn airheaded wife was exactly as their junior high school friends had predicted: a girl who had dreams of getting married before the age of thirty. But the silver-haired Shirou knew that his fiancée wasn't the type to be easily prepared for a huge commitment like marriage (A/N: Small warning, you guys should read Shiranai Atsune-sempai's First Kiss.).
He had actually proposed to her thirteen years ago, when they had had their first but intense kiss. Shirou had never really thought that she would still stay with him, after all they'd been through. Fubuki Shirou had never considered himself the strong one of the pair— it had always been her. And not just in physical terms, emotionally too. He couldn't get over the deaths of his family for almost a decade, but she could stop herself from breaking down even when her closest confidants were all driven to the edge, even when she was all alone…not a single tear was shed.
He smiled at her. "Will you be my girlfriend – and a few years later, my wife – Yusa-chan?" Fubuki gulped, he was nervous, but that kiss was enough to assure him of the obvious answer.
"Yes!" She jumped.
Suishou stared at the ring in her hand, a blush and a smile beautifying her features. 'He caught me with a ring.'
Okay, now I have to sleep. Byeee!
Flames, reviews and complaints are what I like to read! And personally, I'm very proud of this chapter. :3
