Disclaimer: I own nothing if you saw it on Kim Possible. The plot is mine though.

A/N: Sorry for the uber long gap between chapters. My creative energies had to be diverted elsewhere for a while but fear not! I shall never abandon a story I've started. Consider this a late Christmas and New Years present from me to you!

Thank everyone who had read my story and reviewed it! The view count is now over 10k. Not too shabby I think. I sincerely hope everyone will continue to enjoy this as much as I do writing it. I've actually had a friend tell me I grin like and idiot when I'm writing.

Announcements! Although I did this a long tome ago and you have probably already noticed I have changed two things. Number one and most obvious is the summary. It actually says something now!

Second and less noticeable is that I bumped the rating up to T because the world I'm writing is plagued by the rule 'U get Hit U get Hurt. And if U get Hit Hard Enough U cross a Certain Bridge over a Certain River.'

How horrible it must be to live in a place like that... heh.

Third! From now on I will post new chapters on Fridays only. If you check in on Saturday and there's nothing new then there wont be anything till the next Friday.

Anyway! I've taken enough of your time. On with the show!

As always please read, review and, above all, enjoy. HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE!

Chapter 6: Shocker

-Bueno Nach HQ: Fifth Floor Bridge-

Ron and Shego stood facing each other some ten meters apart. Ron trying very hard not to show the fear he felt. Shego, for her part, kept running her eyes up and down his body. Her scrutiny was making him all the more nervous.

The silence dragged on, each second grating on Ron's nerves. Just as he was about to break it himself Shego spoke.

"I have to say." She said, making Ron suppress a flinch. "You're a lot younger than I thought you'd be."

That statement confused Ron. She does know I'm just as old as Kim right? Okay, so he'd rarely been the focus of her attention, but surely she'd paid attention to that much…right?

"So, Hero…" She said.

Hero? Ron wondered, confused again.

"You got a name?" She asked.

That struck a nerve. Suddenly all of his fear and confusion was swept away by a wave of pure annoyance.

"Oh cmon!" Ron burst out. "Drakken not remembering my name is one thing but you Shego? You're supposed to be the smart one!"

Shego got over her shock at his sudden outburst in time to actually hear his words. She squinted her eyes as she studied him again, this time focusing more on his face.

"It's not even a complicated name!" Ron continued. "It's just three letters long! Ron, that's it! Cmon, say it with me: Ruh - on. can do it."

"Sidekick?" She asked in disbelief.

"Cmon." Ron tried to motivate. "Say it just once, you might even like it."

"Ron." Rufus squeaked helpfully from his perch.

"See." Ron gestured to his friend. "Even Rufus got it."

"Wow… It really is you… Huh…" She said, barely believing it. Though the bald rat thing was undeniable proof. Her eyes dropped back down to his body. "Been working out?"

"Huh?" Ron said, confused again. Of all the things she could've asked he hadn't expected that one.

"I'm talking about those." She gestured to his body.

"What?" Ron asked looking at his body but seeing nothing odd.

"Those muscles you slow-start." Shego said, starting to get annoyed.

Ron looked down again but saw only the skinny body he'd had for years.

"What are you talking about?" Ron asked. "These aren't muscles. Now the body I had with the Hench ring thingie." Ron chuckled. "Now those were muscles. I could've taken Pain King with that thing… I wonder if…"

"Nah, ah, ah! Stop!" Shego yelled, cutting him off. "I get enough useless ranting from Dr. D! Now… Why are you here?"

"Oh, you know, the usual… Drakken's up to something evil and we're here to stop him." Ron said with a slight shrug.

Shego smirked at him, reminding him of the cat had cornered Rufus in an alley once… He doubted he could do to Shego what Rufus did to the cat. His earlier fears were making their comeback, twisting his stomach into knots.

"I didn't ask why you are here." Shego corrected, her eyes giving a playfully evil glint. "I asked why are you here."

"What do you mean?" Ron asked hesitantly. He didn't know where Shego was going with this but he knew he wouldn't like it.

"Princess finally traded your geeky butt for a hot piece of ass, huh." Shego needled him with concealed glee.

"What?!" Ron said in surprise. "Nooo, of course not. She would never leave me behind for some guy named Eric that suddenly popped up a few months ago and drove a wedge between our friendship and caused a domino effect that made me start losing everything I cared about… nope… never gonna happen." Ron said as he scratched a fake itch on his cheek and fought the urge to look at anything but her.

"Really?" Shego asked skeptically, eyes glinting with malice. "You sure she isn't finishing up a round on the dance floor? Maybe thinking about going somewhere a little more private? Like under the bleachers or a closet?"

"There is no… um… well she… um… you know?" Ron stuttered with a red face. "H-how would you even know she's at the dance?" Ron tried to redirect away from the uncomfortable subject. "I-I mean she could be just around the corner you know?" He threw a quick glance at the stairs behind him where he'd last seen the holo-Kim.

"A little birdie told me" Shego said taking a few steps towards him and making Ron take a few involuntary steps back. The synthodrones stayed put.

"They probably have Kim under surveillance." Wade commented making Ron flinch a little at the unexpected sound.

"What?" Ron said without thinking. "You have Kim under surveillance?" He asked Shego.

"Figured it out all on your own, didja." Shego teased.

"Um…" Was all Ron could say with a slight flush.

"Alright." Shego said, walking purposefully towards Ron who retreated at the same pace. "I'm bored already so lets get you tied up."

"Couldn't we just…" Ron tried to bargain before he was suddenly cut off.

"Ron!" Kim screamed as she raced up the steps. "Don't you ever do that again!" She said as she came up to him while glaring furiously. Ron turned to her just as she threw a punch at his shoulder which he instinctively pulled away from. The fist went right though his shoulder, luckily it was the one Shego couldn't see.

"Wha…?" Ron wondered.

"Play along!" Wade hissed, seeing Ron's confusion.

"Oh!..." Ron said under his breath, remembering the plan. "Yes… Kim Possible, my best friend, whatever could you mean?" He said in monotone.

Ugh! Wade thought. Better keep this short.

"Don't you remember what happened the last time you went on a mission without me?" Holo-Kim asked then answered herself. "You ended up in a space-dumpster at the Arctic!"

"Um… actually…" Ron tried to explain that that hadn't been his last solo mission but was cut off.

"Then I had to ditch that hench-creep," Kim continued. "and leave Eric dancing with a hologram, that won't be awkward at all. Not to mention I almost ruined my new dress! You have any idea how much babysitting I had to do to pay for it?!" Holo-Kim finished her little rant and looked straight ahead at Shego with one hand on her hip. Shego, for her part, looked at Kim pensively.

Something's off. Shego thought. From the moment princess had appeared she had felt it. That and the fact that the henchman tasked with keeping an eye on Kim was close enough to know if she was trying to fool him. If they hadn't heard from him then she should still be at the dance. Yet here she was. But what? She asked herself as she stared at Kim trying to figure it out.

The Synthodrones behind her didn't even react to Kim's appearance. Their sightless green eyes appeared to stare only at Ron.

"Why isn't she attacking." Wade asked Ron. He could almost see the gears turning in Shego's head.

"You haven't insulted her yet." Ron whispered so low he wasn't sure Wade heard him. Fortunately the microphone on his neck could catch anything he said, no matter how softly he said it.

"Oh… ok." Wade said. "What should I say?" He asked. He wasn't sure how to insult the beautiful villaness. Simply calling her bad would obviously be no good.

"I don't know!" Ron almost hissed. He was getting nervous and scared again, he could feel the plan crumbling around him. "Call her fat or something." His heart started hammering in his chest when Shego looked at him and narrowed her eyes.

"Right." Wade said. He typed the commands and grabbed his joystick, ready to lead Shego away.

"So…" Holo-Kim said. "Drakken took over Bueno Nacho. No wonder that suit looks tighter than usual. All that cheese went right to your already big butt didn't it? You really need to watch those calories. They reall…"

Anything else she was going to say was cut off by a green energy blast that was sent their way. Ron jumped to the side while Holo-Kim flipped backwards.

"Whoa!" Wade said as he piloted the disguised EE2 away from the blast. "That was faster than I thought it would be."

"That's one of the slower ones." Ron commented as he picked himself up from where he'd jumped to.

"Come'ere princess." Shego said menacingly. Her hands were lit by her signature plasma. "Let me show you how to burn those extra calories!" She tossed a few more blasts towards Holo-Kim forcing Wade to move her.

"Here we go!" Wade said excitedly as he piloted the EE2 down the escalator and down the stairs, looking to everyone as if Kim was running and jumping down them.

"Stand still!" Shego screamed as she dove after her. "You three take care of Boy-Blunder!" She yelled back at the synthodrones, which hadn't move and inch.

"Acknowledged." All three said at the same time.

"Kudos Wade." Ron said as Shego left him with the synthodrone, evening the odds for him.

"No… Prob." Wade grunted. "Whoa!"

Ron heard an explosion from below that reverberated up to the bridge.

"Damn she's fast." Wade said. "Ron, you better hurry up, I'm not sure how long I can keep her occupied."

"Gotcha." Ron said. He reached with his right hand and unsheathed his sword as quickly as he dared while Rufus jumped down him to the safety of his pocket. The only reaction the synthodrones showed towards the no armed Ron was to lower their heads slightly.

He stood there, sword comfortably at his side, waiting for the drones to make their move so that he could do the dodge-then-hit thing he'd done before.

They didn't move.

One minute passed.

Two.

Three.

This won't do. Ron thought. He could hear the explosions of Shego's plasma blasts and her voice from the fight below. He didn't have time to waste so he would have to attack first.

OK, ok, I got this. He looked at the three synthodrones and tried to find the best and fastest way to attack and win.

I got nothing. He concluded. It was odd to him how easier it was to counter-attack than to attack. Before it was just instinct, reacting to what he saw coming. Now… he didn't know what to do. He usually avoided direct confrontations. How does KP do this all the time? He wondered.

Another minute passed before faint memories of his week at Yamanouchi were stirred. They had, or at least tried, to teach him something about attacking but not attacking?... no… that wasn't it. It was pretending to attack to make them attack… or something.

It started with an f I think… He thought. He concentrated like few times before, trying to remember. Fo… fei… fai… Faint! That's it. I'll faint, which will make one of them attack then I'll counter-attack his attack and get em… right?

He shook his head trying to rid it of a few thoughts, it was starting to feel cluttered. He thought he knew what to do so all that was left was to do it.

So he charged. He passed his sword to his left hand so as to spare the right anymore damage and ran at them as fast as he could. He ran at an angle so that only two had a clean line of sight to him. Just as he was about to get within range the one in the middle moved forward. It brought up its left arm for a fierce backhand.

Ron saw it, smiled a bit at his success and stopped a few inches away from its path. The strike missed him completely and he moved in to counter with a left-handed, diagonal, upward slash.

Ok. Ron thought. One down, two to…

Thunk!

Ron's strike was parried by the synthodrones right foot, which it had brought up. Before he could make sense of it the drone pushed the sword down violently, pinning it to the floor and jarring his arm. Ron gathered his wits fast enough to see the drone pivot on its right leg, pinning the sword firmly, and throwing a kick with left leg. He dropped low and tilted his head to the side to avoid it. It missed but left his ear tingling.

Practically without stopping the drone brought its left leg back in a low reverse kick. He tried to move back to dodge but was stopped by his pinned sword. The only way to dodge was by letting go of the…

Thought time was up.

The kick landed right on his stomach and sent him flying, sword and all, towards the concrete railing. He landed a few feet from it and slid the rest of the way.

"Oh… shit…" Ron strained to say, trying to catch the breath he'd left with the drone.

"Ron, you okay?" Wade asked, concerned.

"Not really." Ron answered as he propped himself up and started to get up. "These ones are… faster!" He all but squeaked the last part as he saw the drone run then jump toward him then jump and prepare a punch.

Ron scrambled to his feet and hopped backwards onto the railing. The drone landed and threw its punch at where he had been half a second ago. It hit the floor and crushed it along with the railing Ron had jumped to. Before the piece of bridge fell Ron flipped over the drone sending a slice its way like he'd done before. This time it connected and sent off sparks.

Ron landed facing the drones back and waited for it to collapse. It didn't. Instead it simply turned around to face him. It had a silver scar going from its upper chest to its head between its eyes. The sword had definitely cut, but it was too shallow.

"Thicker skin too…" Ron said absently. One arm's not gonna cut it. He smiled at the unintended pun and raised the sword up. Before he could pass it to his right hand for a two handed strike he heard something coming fast behind him.

He'd been so surprised by the drone's speed that he'd forgotten about the other two.

Following instinct again he moved backwards as fast as he could. He collided with the body of one of the other drones which had its hands outstretched trying to grab him. Instead of grabbing Ron's arms and immobilizing him like it had planned it opted for enveloping him in a bear hug. His right arm was caught in it while the left was left free.

Ron struggle fiercely but in vain. The drones hold was too strong. Glancing ahead he saw the drone he had marked walk purposefully towards him with its palms facing him. He could see electric sparks flying from circles and the base of each finger and on its fingertips.

He was running out of time. And breath, the drone was really holding him tight.

He looked back at the drone and saw its head. Its sightless eyes seemed to mock him. And was that a twinkle of superiority he saw in the syntho-goo? Wait…

He stared at its eyes for what seemed like half an hour but was actually a single beat of his pounding heart.

I wond… No, he had no time for that. He acted.

He brought his sword back with as much strength as he could in that position and tried to stab the drone in the eye. He missed and got its forehead.

"Cmon…" He grunted and tried again with the strength that only desperation gave… The other drone, with its electric hands, was way too close for comfort. The second time he struck the edge of its goo-filled eye.

He'd been right. The membrane on the eyes was thinner than the rest of the body so the sword penetrated it. He felt the sword strike something solid inside and decided to twist it as best he could in that position and felt something break. Immediately the drones hold slackened.

Ron took his sword out of the drone's eye preparing to fight off the incoming drone when a thick stream of syntho-goo shot past his head and all but coated it. Ron quickly moved away from it before any of it got on him.

"That's sick!" Ron said as he saw the rapidly deflating drone and the other trying to get the goo off its face. It had obviously been blinded. He would have been happy to see it struggle with the stuff but he noticed something moving to his side. It was the third synthodrone which he'd forgotten about… again.

It moved on him so fast he had no time to get in any sort of stance for the two handed strike he would need to take it down. It was all he could do to dodge its attacks. It moved practically as fast as either Kim or Shego. He tried his dodge and cut again but all it did was give out sparks and give the drone a shallow, scar-like silver line to its side.

He needed some breathing room.

Ron ducked under a punch and quickly did a small back flip, kicking the synthodrones head as hard as he could. Once he finished it he saw that its head was backwards.

That was as much of a chance as he was likely to get. He spared a glance to the other drone and saw that it was having as hard a time as he had trying to get the goo off of his eyes. He quickly got within striking distance of the drone in front of him.

He took his stance. The drone gripped its head with both hands.

He passed the sword to his right hand, gripped the bottom of the hilt with his left and brought it to his side. The drone repositioned its head the right way up, the movement making some odd cracking sounds.

"Eww…" Rufus squeaked from his pocket.

Ron struck hard horizontally. The drone raised its arms to hit him.

He hit its side just before the drone hit him. It stopped when it sensed the breach. It wasn't a deep cut, the sword only went about half-an-inch deep. But it was deep enough and long.

Ron smiled at his small victory before his sword was wrenched out of his grip by the stream of syntho-goo that shot out violently from the drones no gaping wound. The sword clanged noisily across the floor, making sparks here and there, until it hit the doors hard and stopped.

The hell is up with these things! Ron wondered as he saw the goo spray out like a fire hose. Distracted as he was he failed to see the drone throw one last punch at him. It hit the side of his face hard, making him stumble and almost fall.

"Ow! Dude!" He massaged his jaw. Thankfully the blow had been weakened by the loss of goo. Still… it hurt like hell. "That was so not cool, man." It was definitely gonna swell up.

Massaging his jaw he glanced to the side and noticed something. The last drone had finished scraping the goo off its eyes and was staring right at him.

Ok, ok, time for the last… Ron thought before the blood drained from his face. He looked at the doors to his other side and saw his sword lying in a pile of syntho-goo. Behind him he heard the drone take two quick steps toward him and he took off like a frightened rabbit on crack.

He ran as fast as he could towards his sword with the drone close behind. Just as he neared it he dove for it. The moment his hand gripped the hilt he turned around and sliced blindly hoping to fend it off. The sword cut the drone across the chest. The drone stopped two feet from him for a second in which Ron tried to kick it away.

The synthodrone suddenly and unexpectedly exploded, bathing Ron in the slippery and sticky goop. What was left of the drone flew backwards a couple of feet from the force of it. Ron stayed motionless with his leg brought back for the now unnecessary kick.

"That…" He began, his voice full of emotion. "Is just Sick and Wrong, man! Agh! It's in my eyes, it's in my ears, it's up my nose, it's in my mouth… tastes nasty! Why would Drakken build em like…" He would have continued his rant but something else caught his attention.

"Sidekick!" Shegos voice cut across the large space and reached him from below. From the sound of her voice she was really pissed off.

"Wade." He called. "What's going on?"

Silence.

"Wade! You there?" He called again and again he heard nothing.

That can't be good. Ron worked double time and got enough of the goop out of his eyes for him to see. He got up, sheathed his sword with a loud squish and moved to the doors.

OK, ok, ok. Ron thought. Just gotta get through these doors, run down that hallway and shoot a computer. No worries.

Ron went to the doors and tugged hard. They wouldn't budge. He tried pushing but it didn't work either.

"What the…" Ron look around and noticed the palm and retinal scanner. He'd been too nervous before to notice it. "Damn!" He put his hand and eye to it and got scanned.

"Access Denied." An overly pleasant computer voiced informed him.

"Worth a try I guess." Ron said. He dug into his pocket and brought out his secret weapon. "Can you do something about this buddy?"

"Hmn…" Rufus rubbed his chin as he studied the device. "Yep!" The little guy scurried onto the scanner and was about to enter it when Ron saw a familiar green glow on the wall.

"Whoa, whoa!" Ron quickly grabbed Rufus back and dove to the side just as a blast of green plasma hit the door. It didn't destroy it but left a dent and its surface was charred.

"Shit." Ron cursed under his breath.

-Bueno Nacho HQ: Control Room-

"My babies!" Drakken cried as he saw his precious synthodrones fall to the intruder on the monitor. Not only had Kim Possible suddenly popped out of nowhere to ruin his plans but now he had lost three of his new 900's. He was particularly fond of them.

It just wasn't fair!

"You two!" He yelled at the last two 900's he had left. "Take care of that insect before he breaks anything else!"

"Acknowledged." The drones said and moved to the hallway that led to the bridge.

"And make sure he doesn't break either of you!" He called after them.

He looked back at the screen and saw that Shego had comeback. He looked to the other monitors hoping to see his teenage foe unconscious or something but saw nothing.

"Where'd she go?" Drakken wondered.

-Bueno Nacho HQ: Fifth Floor Bridge-

Shego glared at the blonde boy in front of the doors that led to the command center. Her green eyes overflowing with anger. She had felt something out of place the second 'princess' had popped out. But she'd never been one to take an insult, no matter how small, without making the person pay for saying it. So she'd bit the bait.

The first thing that had brought her 'Sucker Moment' as she'd decided to call it was the fact that no matter how many blast and barbs she would throw the princess would never retaliate, she just dodged.

The second came when they'd reached the ground floor. She had a hard time keeping her feet with all the goo covering the floor yet Kimmie had no trouble.

The one that clinched it was when her foot went right through the remains of one of the drones and came out without so much as nudging it.

She had been duped… By the sidekick.

She'd turned her back on the now obvious distraction yelling in anger and raced back up the stairs. She had expected to find him at the drones mercy and was surprised when she was met with their deflated remains. She spotted him trying to do something to the scanner and sent a blast his way which he dodged by diving to the side.

"You know what I really hate?" She asked Ron as he picked himself up and hid Rufus in his cargo pocket.

"Sugar, spice and everything nice?" He said trying his best to hide his fear.

"Being led by the help!"She said. "No, I'm sorry, I meant ex-help since you've been dumped on your ass and now have to hang with virtual dolls."

"I haven't been dumped!" Ron said defensively. "She would never do that. She's…"

"Just as much a bitch as any other popular high school girl." She cut him off. "Face it, the best friend card you used for being around her just expired. You've been outgrown."

"No." Ron said shaking his head as thoughts he'd had before came back. Rufus stuck his head out of his pocket and chattered angrily at Shego.

"I have to say." Shego continued, enjoying the face Ron was making. "I'm surprised she kept you as long as she did. I was sure she wou…"

"No!" Ron said fiercely, interrupting whatever she was going to say next. He brought he right hand behind him, fingers wrapping around the hilts of both his extendable batons. "That will never happen. KP is different. She's better than you and any of those other girls." He passed one of the batons to his left hand and opened them both with a flick of his wrists. "She's a good person." His golden-brown eyes shimmered blue for half a second. Something Shego missed since she had been focused on the batons.

"What." Shego scoffed. "You're going to fight me?" She lit her hands with her signature plasma. "Have you seen me fight?"

"Yes." Ron swallowed hard but failed since his throat was so dry. "A lot. Have you seen me fight?"

"No." Shego answered with a slight frown.

"Then I guess I have the advantage." Ron concluded trying to get some confidence from it.

"You really think so?" Shego commented skeptically. "Tell you what. I won't even use my powers." Shego's plasma went out and she put her hands on her hip, unconcerned and smirking.

Ron looked down at his little buddy who had kept on chattering angrily at Shego. Rufus looked up and locked eyes with his best friend.

"Ready buddy?" Ron asked him.

"Charge!" Rufus squeaked and dove into his pocket.

Ron smiled and looked at where Shego waited. His smile dropped at what he felt. Like with the drones Ron couldn't feel a way to attack. This time, however, he could also feel a faint need to flee. It was quickly squashed by the anger Ron felt at what she had said.

Ron decided to wing it and charged in as fast he could hoping he could catch her by surprise. He struck wherever he could. Shego either dodged or blocked each blow without dropping her smirk.

Ron tried everything he knew. From punches to leg swipes to any move he made up with the batons. The few blows that made it through felt shallow and weak. He struggle to block or dodge her own attacks whenever she decided to throw them.

"You're actually better than I expected." She commented after a few minutes of going back and forth. "But still nowhere near my league."

Faster than he could react she cut across his side with her clawed gloves.

"Ah!" Ron exclaimed in pain. He looked down and saw that the shirt had held just like Wade had said it would. His relief was short lived as Shego gripped the top of his batons and brought her face very close to his.

"Nice shirt." She said before placing both her feet against his chest and kicking him hard. The batons where wrenched from his grip as he flew backwards from the force of it while Shego did a graceful backflip.

Ron landed and rolled backwards once before stopping in a heap on top of the last drone he'd taken down. He was back near the doors where he'd started.

He stood on all fours and coughed a bit. His chest has received one hell of a beating tonight. It hurt like hell. He looked back at Shego where she stood with both his batons in her hands.

"Had enough yet?" Shego said as she lit her hands with the batons still in them. They bent and twisted out of shape before Shego tossed the smoking remains over the edge of the bridge.

"Hey!" Ron exclaimed as he saw them go. "Those were brand new! And I thought you said you wouldn't use your powers."

"I lied." Shego said. "Are you actually surprised?"

"Tch!" Ron said under his breath. He was in deep trouble. "Wade." He whispered. "Please tell me you're there and have some suggestions."

Silence again.

"Didn't think so." Ron said, he wondered what Shego had done to cut him off from Wade.

He brought his right arm back and unsheathed his katana for the third time that night. He got into the crouching stance he'd always felt the most comfortable in and waited. He didn't want to hurt Shego… well, not seriously. So he would have to do what the always did in the movies and comics. He would try to use the back of his sword.

I hope I can… His thought train began but was derailed when the doors behind him slammed open. He turned around on instinct so quickly that he slipped on the goo under his feet. As he fell a drones arms closed around where he'd been wrapping his sword in a bear hug instead of him. Ron kicked the drone over him making sure he kept a firm grip on his sword so that it didn't go with it.

The drone was propelled through the air right into a surprised Shego, knocking her down.

Ron tried to get up quickly, taking advantage of a distracted Shego, to run through the now open doors to the control room. A pair of strong hands gripped his arms in a vice and pushed him back down on top of the dispatched drone.

Before he could do anything to resist he was surrounded by arcs of electricity which dissolved his every thought in a wave of pain. All of his muscles locked up, he couldn't move them even if he'd have the presence of mind to try. In all of Kim's and his adventures had he been in such pain.

Then, to his horror, his pain doubled as the energy travelled through the syntho-goo he was covered in and laying on to the previous drone jumpstarting its own tasers. Ron opened his mouth in a silent scream of pure, undiluted agony.

After a few seconds and felt like an eternity to Ron the drone powered down its tasers. Ron immediately went limp, eyes rolling back into his eyes and tears rolling down his cheeks. A single strangled "Ah." Escaped his lips before he let go of his sword and lay still. There were thin wisps of smoke coming from various parts of his body.

"Target neutralized." The drone said letting go of his body and standing straight.

"Get off!" Shego yelled as she kicked off the drone that had collided with her and stood up. She looked over at were Ron's body lay.

"Shame." Shego said, not really sad.

She started walking towards him when she saw something move from the corner of her eye. Something fast. Whatever it was it was heading towards the drone standing over Ron. She took a running leap and intercepted it.

"And what's this?" She asked no one in particular as she landed. She looked at what looked like a plane with no wings and four propellers at each corner. The small device fought her grip and almost got away. It was way stronger than it looked.

"Oh, no." She said as she lit the hand that held it. The EE2 struggled for a few seconds more before it bent, gave out a few sparks and died in her hand. "It broke." She tossed the device to the ground where it broke into several pieces.

She walked up to Ron's body, which still had wisps of smoke rising up, and crinkled her nose. She could smell the scent of burnt skin.

"A little too well done for my taste." She said. She looked around at the remains of the other two drones . She looked down at the body and frowned. Something bothered her about the fight she'd just had but she couldn't quite put her finger on it.

"Alright." She said putting out of her mind, the kid was done anyway so why bother with trying to figure it out. "Pick all of this up and let's get him stored." She ordered the drones, gesturing to Ron and his sword. "It'll make a nice… present… for Kimmie when she finally decides to show up."

The drones moved to obey and she led them away. She noted that the drone that had landed on her now had a sliver line going from its right shoulder to its left hip.

When he manage that. She wondered. As she walked she stepped on something that made a crunching sound. Looking down she recognized the object as some sort of flesh colored hearing aid or earphone. It wasn't hers so she paid it little mind.

-Load Residence: Wade's Basement Room-

Wade sat at the edge of his seat, staring intently at the screen in front of him. He had tried to warn Ron that Shego had seen through his hologram. Tried to tell him to put Rufus inside the scanner so that he could dismantle it from the inside. He saw the drones move from the command room into the hallway leading to him and tried to tell him too.

But for some reason Ron hadn't heard him.

He wondered why. Did a diagnostics check on the communication system thinking it had failed. But everything was running just at it should.

He saw the whole fight against Shego and thought Ron was doing quite well until she disarmed him and sent him flying in the same move.

Then Ron unsheathed his sword looking very serious. Just then he saw a flurry of movement on his map and yelled at the screen trying to warn him but again he hadn't heard him.

He saw him avoid the first drone but get pinned by the second one he hadn't noticed. That's when things got really bad.

Whatever the drone was doing to Ron made his vitals go wild. The signals from the microchip in his body and the microphone in his neck told him in how much pain he was in. After a few seconds the signal from the microphone was lost. That didn't surprise him since it wasn't shielded like the chip. Once the drone stopped electrocuting Ron the chip took a new reading.

It was a flat-line. According to the chip, Ron… was dead.

Alarms blared from anywhere they could in his room like he'd programmed them to incase something like this happened. His hands stood still over his keyboard, not really sure what to do.

Ron was… No! He wouldn't even think it until he had confirmation from a second source.

First he turned off the alarms so that he could think. Next the piloted the EE2 within scanning range of him. The EE2 scanning capabilities were weak but if he pushed them to their limits he should get an accurate scan of Ron's…

"And what's this!" He heard Shego say. Suddenly he was staring at her face instead of flying to Ron. He pushed its small but powerful engines to their max trying to break her grip until his screen flashed green and cut to black.

"Eagle Eye signal lost." His system told him in his own voice.

Wade sat there, his hands trembling over his keyboard.

Ron was… No, Damn it! He couldn't be!

One thing he knew for certain though. Ron was hurt… bad.

He needed help.

He needed Kim.

As soon as that thought crossed his mind his hands flashed across the keyboard faster than he'd thought possible. He brought up the Kimmunicator system. She still hadn't answered.

Think, think, think! He ordered himself fiercely. The has to be a way.

And one came to him. It wasn't subtle like he usually preferred. It wasn't particularly techie. But it was impossible to miss.

So he got started on it.

-Possible Residence: Driveway-

"Hey hon!" James called to his wife from the driveway where he stood looking down at the device Wade had used to bring Ron his stuff.

"Yes dear?" Ann answered coming out of the house dusting off her hands. She'd been digging through some rubble looking for more pictures. There was one she couldn't find… one of her favorites.

"Don't you think we should get this inside the garage before it starts raining?" He asked her. "I don't like the look of those clouds."

Ann smiled at her husband. "You just want to get it inside so you can figure out how it works."

"Well…" James said with a slight blush. "It is an interesting piece of technology." He conceded.

Ann chuckled a bit. "It's not a bad idea though. Let's call the boys so that they can…"

The rest of her sentence was lost when the wings of Wade's improvised 'Cargo Drone' Shot out.

"Whoa, there." James said as he placed himself between it and Ann protectively.

The drone took of vertically, climbing very quickly. The sounds of twisting metal could be heard coming from it. Once it stopped climbing it let the useless cargo box drop with a metallic 'click'. The box dropped back to earth with loud 'thud' cracking the concrete and rolling down the hill before it stopped on the corner.

The drone hovering above adjusted its direction and fired its main thrusters, flying into the night like a missile.

James and Ann stared after it.

"Oh, my." Ann said, very worried. "You don't think something happened…"

"Of course not." James reassured his wife. "Wade probably thought the same thing I did and flew it back home. Shame really, would have loved to take a look at it." James sighed at the missed chance.

James spotted a truck drive up to their house and stop. The logo on it read 'Smartymart'.

"Oh!" James said. "Looks like the roof repairmen are here. Let's cover up that hole before the rain starts. Last thing we need is water damage." James went over to greet them.

Ann stared at the patch of dark sky where Wade's drone had disappeared for a few moments before joining her husband. She rubbed her arms as she felt the night get rather chilly.
