"What is your name?" Nightingale asked. It was in a tone that no one would was clear she was going to give the girl one chance and one chance only. The girl stared at her.
"You already know my name." Nightingale scowled and pursed her lips. She sat forward and opened the file on the table.
"Well despite what you think Lieutenant Hope isn't a real name. In fact its kind of stupid name." The girl still stared at her. She remained emotionless as Nightingale watched her. However her eyes were a different story, they clearly held some anger. She sighed.
"You might as well leave now I'm not going o budge." Nightingale watched the brunette silently. They were going to need a different approach. Scaring her wasn't an option but would bribery work?
"Fine Hope...that's what you prefer to call yourself right?" Lieutenant Hope said nothing. Nightingale nodded and put her finger up to her ear. "Please bring in her weapons." She put her hand down. Hope narrowed her eyes in the slightest bit unsure of what she going to do. Torture seemed like the kind of thing an Agent like Nightingale would do well in. Or at least that's what Hope thought. I would be strangely even more cruel if she used Hope's own weapons.
Suddenly someone knocked on the door. "Come in." Nightingale said coldly. She frowned. Arthur and Split-Second stood in the door way with a cart in between each of them. She raised her eyebrow. "They sent you?" She asked. Lieutenant Hoe turned her head and watched them.
"Unfortunately yes." Arthur replied. He frowned at Hope as they wheeled the cart in. "Do you need anything else?"
"Not at the moment, thank you Arthur." The two of he walked out of the room and closed the door. Nightingale frowned and picked up the nearest weapon near her. A sword.
"Nearly a meter long, titanium enforced blade, I'm surprised you didn't use in battle it would be much easier to hurt someone. However... Nightingale placed the sword down and picked up one of the knives. "This is better long distance and much easier to get. To get a sword that is perfectly balanced and made such this one is very hard a times." Hope stared at her. This was starting to confuse her.
"Though your bow is probably the best weapons out of all of them. Good for long distance and can harm someone a lot. However when you run out of arrows it is pretty much done. But what confuses me is that I didn't even notice you had a bow until we picked you up after the battle. In the clips I didn't see it. Is this staged or something on those matters Hope?" Hope stared at the woman. Why would she out of all people even do that?
"Because the last time we fought an opponent like this he sneaked his way on to the hellicarrier and unleashed the Hulk." Hope pursed her lips. Nightingale smiled.
"I mean after all Enchantress wouldn't have picked someone like you to be on her team if she thought you would easily be defeated. Enchantress is smart and she isn't a person to consider humans very smart or strong." Nightingale said. Still Lieutenant Hope didn't respond. To anyone else she might have seemed almost emotionless but there had been a slight twitch of her hand when Nightingale had talked to her. Nightingale sighed then suddenly stiffened as he door swung open.
"Split!" Nightingale said in annoyance but the speedster didn't seem to care.
"Come out here will you?" Nightingale frowned then stood up before walking to the door. Split didn't bother moving. They needed at least one person in there.
"What is it?" Nightingale said as exited the room. Fury along with he other were standing outside the door. Fame smirked and Nightingale's eyes went wide. In her hands was a cat. That cat did't seem to pleased as Flame held her, she was growling slightly and giving everyone around her dirty looks. Overall she was pretty much black with the exception of her muzzle, belly, paws and tip of her tail and ears which were all grey.
"This cat just suddenly appeared scratching at the interrogation door. Her tag says Michele Jackson." Nightingale smirked.
"Perfect...did you get anything on her?"Nightingale asked.
"Her mother died when she was young then she disappeared...not much else." Nightingale nodded at Arthur. She then turned and went back into the room here Split was smirking at Lieutenant Hope.
"Split you can leave now." He frowned at her and rolled his eyes before obeying. Lieutenant Hope raised an eyebrow and nightingale watched her for a moment. "So Michele Jackson what can you tell us about the Enchantress?" Michele tensed up.
"How?" She gave Nightingale a dark look. "If you hurt my cat-
Nightingale rolled her eyes. "As if we would hurt your cat, she has nothing to do with this." Michele backed up slightly or at least as much as she could with hand cuffs on her hands. "So now that we know who are which also means we have some leverage." Michele glared at Nightingale.
"All my family is dead." Nightingale smiled.
"Thank you for just giving me some information Michele." Michele scowled even deeper hen but Nightingale watched her.
"Listen SHIELD is an organization with thousands of agents like me, hundreds of superheroes like all of those people out there and you expect Enchantress to win? She may have powers but she can't manage to pull it off and you know it." Michele smirked and shook her head.
"Enchantress is powerful and her allies are too-
"You are one them aren't you? If you're so powerful how did you manage to get captured?"Michele pursed her lips.
"May be Enchantress sent me here to figure out if one of our own is betraying us on your side." Nightingale frowned and tensed up.
"Michele you need to tread very carefully now." Nigtingale said and Michele smirked.
"Fine." Michele said suddenly. "I'll make you a deal. You let me go, give my cat and I'll give you all the information you want." Nightingale narrowed her eyes.
"And we would trust you with this?"
"No but that is your only choice."
