[Greetings warrior. I wanted to update you on the current standings of this story. Due to a variety of outside events my updated haven't been nearly as frequent as I would have personally liked. Now however with alot of factors settling down updates can commence! While you all await this I'll leave you with a little preview of what's to come]
Six paced down the halls, of the icy carved chambers. Men and women alike gawked in awe, absorbing the Spartan's sheer prescence. The flow of traffic briefly paused, before the troops returned toward their objectives. Six payed them little heed his mind focused solely upon one thing."where in the hell was he, and more importantly where was Dot?" The question flickered through his mind. The overly enthusiastic nurse who had tended him, witheld any and all usefull Intel claiming it was unknown wether or not he could prove a liability. As ludicrous as the idea seemed Six could not hold her against it, for if he could recall only a few years ago, the Spartan forced Luna into a similar circumstance our of mistrust. Hypocrisy was something he hated especially when directed toward him. Shaking his head he turned his mind toward more important matters. The nurse left with him a note inscribed with directions. Six obediently followed the route without hesitation. He needed answers and his hunch told him what he might find would eliminate his doubts. Minutes passed before he encountered a clearing, heavy crates lined the wall's interior, accompanied by two holo projectors. As if on cue they both sputtered to life, two men he was unfamiliar with Maxis Barron and Jag Quilan appeared in each. Six frowned under his visor. He wasn't one for theatrics. Silence enveloped the room until One of the men spoke.
"Greeting Spartan B312. Allow us to introduce ourselves. I am Director Jag Quilan and the man in the projector next to me is Major Maxis Barron. I can only imagine you are asking yourself, where exactly you are?" Explained Jag.
"Damn right" six replied.
"Well unfortunately we cannot disclose whereabouts of this facility until we know you can be trusted." Jag continued on.
"Yep just like Luna" six thought thimself before speaking aloud."Look I don't have time to waste. Where the hell is Auntie Dot? Dont pretend you don't know what I'm asking you all tampered with my armor."
Jag smiled slightly. "And how are those modifications we added to your suit? I do hope you find them to your liking, the technology you use is outdated. Offering scant protection you may have well been better off without it. Finest shields, forms of vision and HUD we have to offer., now your own."
Six couldn't lie, the upgrades to his suit were noticeably beyond what he had remembered however, this wasn't the time to focus on that. "Dont change the subject. Where is she?"
Maxis faced six frowning. "Look your companion is safe with us, just answer a few of our questions and you both will be free to go."
Six felt his eyes narrow as he bore his gaze upon the major. Dot was his closets friend as well as a construct of the UNSC. She was too valuable to be left into the hands of an unknown party. Silently Six resigned, allowing to two men to continue.
"Alright Six tell us where are you from?"Jag inquired.
Six paused hesitantly. He highly doubted anyone would believe he was an extragalactic humanoid super soldier, responsible for the death of an uncountable amount of covenant and insurrecrionist militia alike. Deftly the Spartan's decided to play his hand cautiously. " I'm not from around here."
Maxis sighed "Care to be more specific?"
Six eyed his interrogators cautiously. If they weren't to reveal their own secrets, then he had every right to withhold his own. "Isn't it a bit unfair to ask a man where he's from without telling him at the very least where the hell he is?"
Jag jumped into the conversation. "Very well. You are within a secure compound on the very same planet you crashed on two weeks ago. Feel any better?"
"Slightly... As far as I can say I'm not from your Galaxy."
"That's very difficult to believe Noble Six"
Six merely leaned back at their accusations of dishonesty. "Well I'll say this. You haven't seen any thing like my armor, nor any humans of my caliber. If I couldn't be trusted or was a liability, upgrading and nursing me to health was a stupid move. You currently have my companion which you could have easily interrogated while I was incapacitated. What would I gain by lying? And what exactly would you have to lose if I was?"
Both men spoke instinctively, devoid of hesitation to the Six's questions. "The entire galaxy."
