Marinette
My head..
It hurts, so much.
I couldn't move or open my eyes. Every single limb felt like burning, it felt like I was going to burn alive.
I was laying against something, something warm. I didn't want to move away because it was so comfortable and soft. It moved up and down in a slow pace and I could hear a heartbeat. I groggily opened my eyes to see what it was, a clothed chest and an arm wrapped around me. When my eyes looked up to see what it was I saw Adrien sleeping peacefully from were he was laying in our cuddle position.
"AHHH" I screamed and sat up straight, hitting my head against the IV. It was only now that I realized the tube going into my arm, and the other end attached to the pole with a blood bag on it.
I didn't know how Adrien ended up here, I didn't know why I have a tube going into my veins and I didn't know why my head is hurting like crazy. I began panicking, I don't remember anything from yesterday. At all, and it was frustrating. Adrien murmured something and moved a little, the bed was not big enough for two persons so he rolled of the bed and accidentally fell to the ground, groaning afterwards.
"Oh my god, Adrien are you okay?" I quickly rolled of the bed and ran around the bed to the blonde boy. But he was still sleeping with snores softly escaping his pink lips so I sighed and shook my head. Adrien is a heavy sleeper.
The door suddenly opened and my doctor Caline and Alya walked in in their doctor uniforms. Caline looked really, really angry with me. I felt myself shaking underneath and Alya was just as scared.
"Marinette Dupain-Cheng! You know the rules about leaving the hospital like that! Why didn't you follow the orders?!" She put her hands on her hips and glared at me. Caline has been my doctor for two years now. She's kind but really strict and gets mad if you don't follow her orders.
"And you!" She turned towards Alya "Has disappointed me the most! Letting a patient wander off to a party and later on return drunk? Do you want this job or not?!" Alya looked gulity about what she did and turned to look at me.
'Wait, I got drunk? The heck?' I thought.
"I do want this job, very much" She mumbled and looked her in the eyes "It will not happen again, she will be under my watch. I promise" Caline relaxed with her straight look and rubbed her temples a little bit.
"Good, very good" She sighed before locking her eyes with mine "Marinette, I need you to follow us" Caline pointed towards the door "You need to do a check-up"
I frowned deeply before grabbing my IV BMP and rolled it with me as we walked out the hall, I was still feeling like crap.
Alya was walking with Caline but I made her slow down "Alya" I whispered. She looked at me with a guilty look, a look I haven't seen ever since she once accidentally gave me too much medicins and I had to do an operation to get them out of my body. And that was last year.
"What happened last night?" I whispered under my breath but she casually shrugged it off.
"I'll tell you later" Alya whispered with a sad look on her face. I nodded and we continued walking. We entered a room and they made me sit down on a nursing bed, I watched as they pulled out some medication and props.
"Marinette, I want you to look at me and count to ten" Caline said and pulled out a syringe, she filled it with some yellow-isch fluid before walking towards me. I absolutely hated syringes and needles. They were scary and gave me anxiety.
I felt a sharp needle going in my arm and I winced, the pain was extreme and I did my best to not scream. Alya held my other hand as she watched the needle leave my body after a while. I brought my hand to the place but she slapped my hand away and instead placed a bandage on it.
"Better?" Alya whispered. I breathed heavily in panic but she soothed me. Finally after a while I could respond back with a weak smile.
"Better.."
She squeezed my hand with a comforting smile and I returned the gesture.
"Good"
We continued doing 'stuff' in the room, like measuring my height, weight and looked at the blood pressure. It was too high so I had to rest for the rest for the rest of the day as Alya went to her college.
When I walked in with loud steps I saw Adrien packing his bags with a sad face. I scrunched up face in confusion and watched him place all the clothes in a suitcase. "A-Adrien?" I whispered.
He looked up and stiffened for a minute. It was like he was debating about hiding something or make up a lie about what he was doing. "What are you.." I began but he cut me off.
"My foot is healed, I can't stay longer. I've already missed a month from College" Adrien looked genuinely sad. I felt myself getting hollow after hearing the news. I don't know why, but it feels like a part of me is missing.
"Oh" I muttered, my voice darker than I thought it would be. I played with my hair that was braided into a messy bun. He placed two socks in his suitcase before walking towards me and dragged a hand through my wild black hair.
"To be honest, your hair is really cute like that" Adrien smiled crookedly and my face heated up again. Why am I acting like this all of the sudden.
"Adrien" I whispered and the green eyed boy looked down at me, those light green eyes that reminds me of emeralds. "What happened last night?" He suddenly began to blush at the thought, which caused me to be even more confused. What happened, for real?
"You got drunk...Chloe dared you" He muttered, now playing with his zipper.
"And then what?"
Adrien bit his lips, thinking for a while before sighing "You uhm...kinda asked me to sleep with you"
I choked on my saliva and almost fell to the ground. I did not just hear that.
"Y-You mean like..." He got the idea and got just as shocked as me.
"What?! No, no, no-God no" Adrien shook his head quickly as his face turned-once again- red. I breathed out in relief. "We only slept in the same bed because you were freezing and didn't let me go" He stopped to chuckle a little "But you didn't do anything else, I promise"
I felt the weight on my shoulder liften as I laughed in relief once again "Oh god, why did I do that?" He laughed with me and told me that I was acting like a 5 year old when I was drunk. We ended up laughing like lunatics.
I was really enjoying myself, for real. I always have fun with him. Then I realized he's not going to be here anymore. I stopped laughing and instead looked upset. Adrien noticed me and instantly grew concerned. He walked closer until we were nose to nose.
"Mari, are you okay?" He asked in a low voice and put his hand on my shoulder. But I didn't look up so he sighed and invited me into a hug. His body was so warm, I felt safe in his strong arms. With that feeling of safety I hugged back and he put his chin on my head.
"Even if I won't be a patient here anymore we will still see each other" He looked down at me with a small smile.
"Do you promise?" I whispered, afraid of the answer.
"I promise" Adrien booped my nose and I scrunched it, causing him to chuckle and hug me again. It felt nice. We stayed like that for a minute, just hugging each other. It was enjoyable and comforting to just hear his heartbeat and his chest moving up and down.
Then we finally let go of each other and he closed his suitcase, but before he did anything else I saw a note and a necklace. He looked at them for a minute but then walked to me with confidence.
"Here" Adrien said, handing me over the stuff. "This is for you"
I looked down, it was a note with his number written on it and then a necklace attached to the note. The necklace was black and the decor on the front was a green paw. When I looked up again he dragged his suitcase towards the exit. Then he looked back and waved at me one last time.
"Bye, Marinette. I'll see you soon" With those words he turned around and walked away, leaving me there to process what the hell had just happened.
"Don't leave me" A tear rolled down my cheek and I choked a sob "Please"
