A/N: Finally got this chapter finished!
Wow, so, I do apologize for the long wait on this chapter. I was having a case of writer's block for this story. Any ideas that were coming in were for Love Goes Boom, so that's why it took some time. And as always, I wasn't willing to post a bad chapter. So I do have to thank dreadburner94 for their help in solving some problems with this chapter with me and pretty much breaking my writer's block.
Anyways, I really did have fun with this chapter, so I hope you all enjoy it. It is the last introduction chapter! So I can now start moving onto missions and a bunch of other stuff!
I would like to send out a big thanks for all the reviews I received!
Zades - Glad to hear that you liked the last chapter! I hope you enjoy this one as well!

And I do have to say that chapter 4 has been my favorite chapter as well. And I'm glad that you enjoyed the scene between Bishop, Tada and Azielle. And I laughed when you compared them to the Holic characters. I hadn't really thought about it up until you mentioned it. And I'm glad to hear that you already have some favorite characters as well. I really like writing Yuna's character as well as Diesel, so hopefully they continue to be entertaining and good characters throughout the story. I hope you enjoy this chapter as well!
dreadburner94 - LOL! Thanks for the virtual cookie! And other people seemed to enjoy both Sera and Diesel, so I'm glad to hear that they're both doing well. And yes, the team is fully formed! I can't wait to see all the mayhem they will eventually cause. Poor Maddox! And poor Azielle too. But her friends always mean well! I hope you enjoy this chapter!

Chapter 5
Mahrin-Kah Krists walked down one of the streets of Magnolia, having just left her aunt's house. She had been making weekly visits with her aunt since she joined Thunder Stone a month ago. She had been living with her Aunt Echora up until a month ago. That was when her aunt pushed her to join the guild and live there as well. Her aunt believed that it would be good for her self-confidence, and so, Echora worked out the details with Maddox and also having explained their family history to the man, knowing her niece would have been to nervous to tell him herself.
Mahrin-Kah frowned as she continued to talk back towards the guild. The eighteen year old still felt so out of place at the guild. It was hard for her to make friends when she constantly worried about everything and what people would think of her. She mostly kept to herself for the past month, afraid to open up to most of the people in the guild; considering most of them were loud and rambunctious.
She sighed a little when Thunder Stone came into sight, pulling at her the high and frilly lace neckline of her dress. The eighteen year old mage wore two dresses. The first was a light red that reached just a little above her knees while the second dress was a light pink that ended just below her hips. Each end of the dress had more white lace frills circling around them. The sleeves of the dresses were extra-long, ending past her fingertips. She also wore ankle socks that also had the same frills on the top of them that slightly irritated her skin when they rubbed up against it. Finally, she wore a pair of simple, black Mary-Janes, an open, white vest over the dresses and her mother's necklace to finish the outfit.
Her honey blonde hair was shoulder length, but up in a high ponytail. Her bangs were parted more to the right and swooped off her shoulders and framed her face and light lavender eyes. She stood at 5'7" with very pale skin and a thin build. Her black guild mark was located on her left hand. Within a pocket of the vest was a sleek, metal blowgun and she also possessed the ability to use Paper Manipulation Magic.
Mahrin-Kah stopped and stared up at the guild, knowing she would have to go back to it. Just as she started her trek back to the guild, she heard someone calling out to her.
"Rin-chan!" a cheerful voice shouted.
Mahrin-Kah turned around to see a light blonde haired woman running towards her with a bright smile. Mahrin-Kah knew the woman to be Anna Jean, another member of Thunder Stone. Anna was one of the few people that Mahrin-Kah had actually spoken to over the past month at the guild. The younger mage thought she was nice enough and felt calm around her, so long as the woman wasn't coming up with any wild matchmaking schemes. Secretly, Mahrin-Kah appreciated the nick name the woman had given her.
Anna was twenty-two years old and stood at only 5'3" with light skin and a curvy build with a large bust. Her coral pink guild mark was beneath her collar bone. Her hair was a very light, banana blonde color and was cut into a cute pixie cut while using a few hair clips to keep it all in place. She did have plans of growing it back out, though. Her short bangs fell just above her bright blue eyes. Today she wore a simple, pale blue sundress with heeled, white sandals. Her outfits would constantly change, considering how much the woman loved fashion; so today seemed to be a more toned down day for her clothing choice. She was also a Spirit Beast Summoning Mage, which allowed her to summon several types of mythical creatures to aid her in battle.
"Thanks for waiting, Rin-chan!" Anna beamed up at the younger girl, considering Mahrin-Kah was a good four inches taller than her.
"You're welcome," Mahrin-Kah replied quietly.
"Are you heading back to the guild?"
"Yes," she answered.
"Then I'll walk with you, if you don't mind," Anna grinned, earning a nod of agreement from Mahrin-Kah, "I just got back from a week long mission and it feels good to be home."
"You went on a mission by yourself?" Mahrin-Kah asked, surprised that the older woman could go on missions alone. She could never imagine going on mission all alone. She had yet to take a mission, but she knew she would have to soon. Her aunt kept on pressuring her any time she would visit. She just wished she could work up the nerve to ask someone to go on a mission with her.
"Of course!" Anna answered, "I do like going on missions with other people, but I don't mind going alone either. Besides, I have my beast partners to keep me company as well," she explained. In all honesty, Anna normally went on missions with Liam and Shaw. Though, Liam had opted to go on a mission alone in Oak town and Shaw…well…she just couldn't seem to convince him to leave the bar a week ago; so instead of being bored while waiting for Liam to come back, Anna chose a mission for herself.
"I see," Mahrin-Kah said, looking down to the ground.
"You should go on a mission soon, Rin-chan," Anna smiled warmly over at the girl, "You don't want to be known as the person to never take a mission, do you?"
"Well…no," she answered, nervousness hanging in her voice, "But…but I would never be able to go alone like you and…and I don't have any friends at the guild yet."
"Awww, I'm your friend, aren't I?" Anna frowned playfully up at the younger mage.
"Well…yes," she replied, more nervousness in her voice now, "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to offend you."
"You didn't," Anna retorted gently, "Don't worry so much about everything, Rin-chan. I could help you find some people to work with, if you like. I know a few people that I think would well for you."
"You do?"
"Yep," Anna smiled brightly, "We can go ask them as soon as we get back to the guild."
"I'd like that. Thank you," Mahrin-Kah smiled softly.
"Any time, Rin-chan!" Anna said, grabbing onto the younger girl's hand, "Now, let's go!" she shouted, running and pulling Mahrin-Kah towards Thunder Stone.

"Where the hell are those two?" Titan asked as he walked through the forest. Tiger sat on his muscled shoulder while Tejil walked beside him, "I don't get why they don't just practice down in the training area."
"Then it would be too easy," Tejil smirked, "You should know by now that both Kokou and Raina aren't normal girls."
"That's the understatement of the year," Titan huffed, "And how the hell did we get stuck looking for them?"
"Well, seeing on how Kokou is a part of our team, it seemed to make sense for Maddox to ask us to look for her and bring her to the guild so he can make his announcement," Tejil answered, "Plus, Raina is someone that Kokou usually trains with. Raina is a bit extreme herself."
"She's not anywhere close to Kokou's level, though," Titan retorted, seeming a little proud while speaking about the final member of his team.
"Again, another understatement," Tejil smirked.
"I think I hear something," Tiger stated after his ear flicked slightly from hearing a loud sound, "Go that way," he said, pointing towards the left.
The small group walked in the direction that Tiger had pointed and eventually they all began to hear grunts and shouts of a sparring battle. They finally came upon a clearing that was known to be one of the many outside areas that the Steele family used to train in. In the clearing were both the girls that Titan and Tejil were looking for. Raina was off farther to the left while Kokou was standing off to the right, both women taking in a quick breath before they began their practice battle again.
Kokou Enyo was the woman's full name and she was nineteen. She stood at 5'8" with lightly tanned skin and slender, boyish build. Her guild mark, when it could be seen, was across the entirety of her upper back in a bright orange color. Her shaggy hair was black and shoulder length, her bangs falling into black eyes that currently sported a fierce look while in the midst of a fight. She also had a small scar across the bridge of her nose. She wore black ninja pants that disappeared into red, high-top sneakers. She had a long sleeved, navy blue crop top with white bandages around her waist. She also normally sported a white, sleeveless biker jacket that was always left unzipped and a black skull satchel. Both items were currently laying on the ground behind Kokou while she was fighting. She was a Re-Quip mage that used several different types of weapons, though her signature weapon was an extremely sharp katana with a heavily tattooed hilt that was named Hanzo. She was currently using this weapon in her sparring match.
"You ready to go again?" Raina asked with a smirk, pushing her brown hair out of her eyes.
"Kokou is always ready!" the black haired woman announced loudly, "What a silly question, you short girl!"
Raina's eye twitched at the quip at her height, "Hey! I already get enough of that short crap from my brother! And you're only two inches taller than me anyways!"
"Kokou doesn't care! Raina is still shorter!" Kokou shouted, "No more talking!" she added, charging at Raina with her sword at the ready.
"Bring it!" Raina shouted back, charging the blades on her arms with her green lightning magic.
"You do realize that if they start another fight now, we'll have to wait a whole hour before they stop again, right?" Tejil asked, looking up at Titan.
"Shit!" Titan shouted, "We don't have time for that! Stone Dragon's Wall!" he shouted, pounding his fist down on the ground. The ground rumbled, cracking slightly as the spell traveled through the ground until it reached the middle of the girls. A giant wall of stone exploded out of the ground just as Kokou brought her katana forward and Raina throwing her chained blades outwards. Both metal weapons clashed against the stone, creating an echo through the forest. Both women stopped their fight to look at who had interrupted them, the sound of Raina's lightning fizzling out filling the silence.
"What the hell?!" Raina finally shouted, not happy with the interruption of her spar.
"Kokou is not happy!" she shouted, running and jumping on top of Titan. Tiger moved off of his partner just in time and landed on top of Tejil's head, "You stopped Kokou's fight! You stupid rock monster!"
"Get off!" Titan shouted, "You're such a weirdo!" he added, becoming irritated with all the smacking that Kokou was doing against his head. Even if stone was his element, that didn't mean he didn't feel pain, "Kokou! Stop! I swear, woman!"
"Apologize to Kokou!" she yelled, smacking upside his head so hard that he began to see stars. The woman never really understood her own strength and always tended to go a little overboard even when having a playful wrestling match. Titan was one of the few people that could continuously take her beatings and continue standing. Though, it didn't mean he enjoyed it.
"Stone Dragon's Skin!" Titan shouted, implementing a solid, rock hard skin across his whole body. Soon, Kokou's hits were having less of an effect on him and he was able to pull her off of him by the back of her shirt, "You are seriously a freak of nature."
"Kokou already knows this!" she huffed, crossing her arms, "Don't say stupid things, rock monster! Now, Kokou is waiting for her apology unless the rock monster wants to be tortured by Dee and Dumb!"
Titan groaned, knowing exactly what she was talking about. Kokou had two, solid steel yo-yos that she had named Dee and Dumb. He had meet both yo-yos on several occasions when the young woman was bored and he was in her line of sight, "Fine," he grumbled, "I'm sorry. Happy?"
"Kokou is appeased for the moment," she answered, "Now put Kokou down!"
Titan sat the woman back onto her feet, eyeing her closely to make sure that she wouldn't try to attack him again. Kokou huffed at him one last time before retuning Hanzo back into her re-quip space and walking over to pick up her jacket and satchel. Titan then found it safe to release his stone skin spell.
"Please tell me you two didn't come all the way out here to interrupt our sparring match," Raina said after pulling her chained blades back into place.
"Of course not," Tejil smirked, "That was just an added bonus," he added, dodging a punch that was thrown at him by Raina. He laughed her attack off before he continued, "Maddox sent us to get you two. He has an announcement to make back at the guild."
"All right," Raina said, "Let's head back to the guild."
"Kokou bets she can beat the rock monster there!" Kokou shouted, bopping Titan on the head as she ran passed him.
"You're on!" Titan yelled in return as he began chasing after the woman.
Raina shook her head at the two before turning a watchful on Tejil, "Aren't you going to run after them?"
"Nah," he answered with a smile, "I'd never win against the two of them and I have Tiger with me," he explained, motioning up to the Exceed still sitting on top of his head, "And I don't think he'll appreciate it if I just go running off like an idiot."
"No, I wouldn't," Tiger confirmed.
"Plus, I'm sure you wouldn't want to walk back alone," he grinned.
"Whatever," Raina shrugged as she began walking passed Tejil, "It doesn't matter either way to me. But," she began turning around on Tejil, "No funny business on the walk back, got it?"
"Yes ma'am," he replied, laughing lightly.
Raina simply rolled her eyes in response before the group began walking back towards Thunder Stone.
. : + : .
Reese Shirogane sat on one of the large, comfy couches in the loft, smirking at Miyako and Remi sitting on the other side of the loft. The poor girls had their hands pressed to their ears from Samuel's consistent story telling. Why the two girls hadn't disappeared back downstairs was unknown to Reese; but as long as they stayed up there, then that meant that Samuel wouldn't be bothering him or his friends.
Reese was a nineteen year old mage at Thunder Stone. He stood at 5'9" with lightly tanned skin and a toned and muscled build. His white hair was short and spikey with sideburns and a small ponytail at the nape of his neck. His bangs were kept out of his black eyes with a red headband. His black guild mark, when it could be seen, was on his right shoulder blade. He wore black jeans and black boots. He had a light blue shirt with two brown leather straps crossing over his chest. He wore a long sleeved, white jacket that he left open with red armor guards on each of his forearms and both hands were covered by dark blue, fingerless gloves. Finally, he had blue studs in each ear and he had a silver necklace chain with a turquoise, swirled pendant on the end of it. He possessed a magic called Amp Magic as well as duel, straight katana that were currently in his room while he relaxed at the guild after the mission he had come back from a few days ago.
"You really shouldn't laugh at them, Reese," a light, feminine voice said after seeing the smirk on his face, "And Samuel's stories aren't that bad."
"That's only because you're too nice to tell him to shut up, Sherry," Reese replied, looking over at the young woman that sat across from him.
The woman's full name was Sherry Park and she was seventeen. She stood at 5'6" with pale skin and a slight frame with soft curves. Her long, jet black hair reached down passed her hips and her long bangs fell in front of her golden eyes. Her orange guild mark was located on her inner, left forearm. She wore dark brown pants that tucked into brown boots and a brown leather belt. She had a tight, red t-shirt with a black cape that draped across her shoulders and was tied around her neck by a dark gray ribbon. Finally she wore a dark green scarf around her neck and had white bandages wrapped around her hands up to the middles of her fingers. She possessed Celestial Spirit Beast Magic which allowed her to call forth animal spirits based on the different types of animal constellations.
"And his stories really are that bad," another, slightly deeper female voice added, "I respect the man, but enough is enough."
"Oh, come on! Don't side with Reese on this, Selena," Sherry said.
This woman's full name was Selena Crossroad and she was nineteen. She stood at 5'8" with lightly tanned skin and a toned build from her military training. Her blonde hair was cut short, reaching her shoulders. Her bangs were layered and long, most of them parted to the left side to cover her left eye. Her right eye wasn't obstructed from few and was a dark blue. She had a dark blue headband, but it did little to control her bangs. Her teal guild mark was located on her outer, right forearm when it could be seen. She wore blue pants, white boots and a long sleeved, blue shirt. Over the shirt, she wore white plated armor with a high neckline and shoulder guards. She also had a metal guard piece that circled around her hips, but there was an opening in the front to allow her better mobility. She wore white armor guards on both forearms as well as metal gloves. Finally, she had a teal jewel imbedded in the center of her chest armor, right below her neck. She was the final Re-Quip mage, Jewel Re-Quip Magic to be exact, at Thunder Stone, being able to re-quip several sets of jeweled armor and weapons.
"But he makes a valid point," Selena retorted calmly, "You are too nice to tell Samuel to stop talking."
"Like you would tell him either," Sherry replied, blowing air up into her bangs to make them float for a moment, "You're so respectful of everyone."
"I suppose so," Selena agreed, looking over at Reese along with Sherry, "Looks like that leaves you to tell him."
"What?!" Reese shouted, "Why would I even have to tell him in the first place?! He's not even talking to us."
"You are the one that started this," Selena answered.
"All I was doing was laughing at Miyako and Remi," he said. He was suddenly bonked on the head with an apple right after he spoke, "OW! What the hell?!" he shouted, looking over towards the two younger girls that sat near Samuel while rubbing his head, "What's your problem?!" he yelled at Remi. He assumed she was the one that threw the apple at him since she was sending him a hard glare. Miyako was too busy crying over Samuel's stories and still pushing her hands up against her ears.
"I heard that! You jerk!" Remi hissed loudly at him.
"You could always walk away from him, ya know!" he hissed back at her.
"Mind your own business!" she snapped before turning away from him.
He glared at her a moment longer before turning back to his own friends. His eye twitched when he saw them. Sherry was trying hard not to laugh at him while Selena gave him an 'I-told-you-so' look.
"Shut up, the both of you," he said, not wanting to hear another word on the subject.
Maddox laughed up at the scene in the loft before the sound of stampeding reached his ears. He looked towards the front, double doors just in time to see Kokou literally crashing through the door, leaving a gaping hole in it. She flipped a few times in the air before sliding some feet across the stone floor. When she finally stopped sliding, she was standing nose to nose with Maddox.
There was a dead silence through the whole guild. The group from downstairs had just made it back upstairs in time to see Kokou's grand entrance and Hikari and Terran exited the kitchen to see what all the ruckus was.
"Well," Maddox said, looking down at the woman in front of him, "What do you have to say for yourself, Kokou?"
It was then that the guild doors were thrown open to show a panting Titan. He looked up to hole in the door and sweat dropped, knowing Kokou had been the one to make it.
"Kokou beat the rock monster!" she shouted in reply to Maddox's question, throwing a fist up into the air.
Everyone else in the guild sweat dropped in response while Maddox simply laughed loudly at her answer, "That you did! Seems like Titan needs to start working on his speed."
"Sir! Don't encourage her!" Titan shouted.
At that moment, Tejil, Tiger and Raina along with Anna and Mahrin-Kah walked into the guild. Raina smacked her palm to her forehead upon seeing the hole in the door while Tejil laughed at it. Anna let out an 'Oh my' when she looked up at the door while Mahrin-Kah just stared nervously down at the floor.
Maddox grinned widely when he saw that his entire guild was now on the main floor, "All right everyone! Come on in closer! I have an announcement to make!"
The people in the doorway moved in towards the bar as well as the people who had come up from downstairs. Everyone on the loft quickly made their way down onto the main floor and towards the bar. Once Maddox felt everyone was close enough to hear him, he began.
"You all know of the Grand Magic Games, correct?" he asked, earning several nods from the guild members, "Good because we're going to enter in them for the first time this year. They start in three months."
There were many cheers in approval for this. Many of the members had been asking for the past two years if they were going to be a part of the Games. Maddox had held off the first year since the guild had barely been established at that time. He then refused to participate last year since he felt that his guild members still had some growing to do and he still wanted to make sure that people would be in Magnolia to look out for the town and Fairy Tail from Twilight Ogre. Even if Fairy Tail had participated in the Games themselves every year, Maddox wouldn't put it past Twilight Ogre to try something while they were gone. This year, though, so many of the guild members were pushing to participate and Maddox felt that they were ready. He couldn't keep holding them back, so he finally signed Thunder Stone up for the Games.
"There will be a preliminary round to cut down on how many guilds go to the finals, but it won't be announced what the preliminary game will be until the week of the Games," Maddox explained, "A team of five will represent Thunder Stone and participate in the five days that it occurs. Now, I will be choosing the team myself, so you have the next few months to prove yourselves to me that you're ready to participate in the Games. Even if you don't volunteer and I feel you're suited to participate, I will still choose you. No arguments," he continued, looking over all the eager faces of his guild, "But, this is not to say that you can't participate in the Games this year if I don't choose you for the main five-man team. We are allowed to make replacements and such. So don't be disappointed if you aren't chosen right away. There might just be something I still decide to throw you into," Maddox smirked, "So, are you all in?" he asked, earning another round of cheers from the guild, "Good. Now, I suggest you start taking as many missions as you can from now until the Games. You'll need the training for some of the opponents we'll be going up against, such as Sabertooth and Lamia Scale," he said, "Now go!" he added with a shout.
This caused the entire guild to erupt in chaos as guild members ran for the request board, literally pushing people out of the way.
"You've literally started a mini-war within the guild," Samuel laughed after he walked up to Maddox.
"Yes, I have," Maddox chuckled, "And I'm surprised you're not right up there with them."
"I've had my share of competitions and shows of strength," Samuel replied, "It's time to let the youth have their turn."
"I found one!" Raina shouted, lifting a paper high into the air above the wrestling match below her in front of the mission board.
"And I also have a niece and a nephew willing to get a few bumps on the head for a good mission," Samuel grinned widely, earning a loud laugh and a slap on the back from Maddox.
A/N: Well, there you go! I hope you all enjoyed the chapter! And the next one should be up soon!
Please remember to review!
