Sesshomaru was restless, the moon over him taunting, it was a cruel reminder of his past, of his father. Inuyasha was being effected, but Inuyasha had never been through this, he had no idea what was coming, Sesshomaru would stay close to see it unfold.

The demon miko was around, he knew she knew. He was however surprised to see Kagome still about, he figured she would run, would she stand by and let the man she so loved go to another, perhaps she really didn't love him, he didn't care. The moon was rising more and more, the sea's waves where becoming stronger and soon the moon would be full, ripe and red, and no female would be ready.

The group was being unwise, still traveling about, Kagome still had pieces of jewel hanging from her neck, how dumb could they all be. As night fell he drew closer, the moon was turning, it was still in the beginning stages. He watched as Inuyasha left his group, unguarded, and went in search of his dead woman, Sesshomaru followed.

"Kikyo" Inuyasha whispers,

Kikyo comes into sight, her soul stealers mixing with fire flies. "Why have you come Inuyasha"

"I wanna know what you meant"

"Do you love me, Inuyasha"

"What?" He threw him off, Inuyasha watched as Kikyo circled him "Do you, love me"

"I, I care, about you, Kikyo"

"Soon the moon will rise, and it will call to all royal blood, even yours"

Inuyasha swallowed "Tell me, Inuyasha, what is your deepest desire, when you dream of lust, who is it in your arms"

Sesshomaru watched with great interest.

Inuyasha's mouth was dry "You" He whispered,

"That is because I am a woman, she is but a mere child, a brat even"

Inuyasha said nothing, she was effecting him and the moon had nothing to do with it yet.

"You will come to be Inuyasha, you blood a boil and only I will be able to calm your pain" She looked at him wicked "I will take your darkest desires, and make them real, we do not have to wait till them moon"

Kikyo came to stand in front of him, so close "You can have me now, and play with me later"

Sesshomaru could here no more, it was sick, just sick. He wondered if this was how his father ended, was this how Inuyasha mother talked to him, was he so weak?

Sesshomaru grew angry and moved back to check on the humans that his brother left alone, when he found them, he found that one was missing, the damn miko.

He sought her our and found her near by, she was washing something in a small stream, the water was cold and the moon danced in a reflection "Do you not fear being taken, miko"

Kagome rung out something and sniffed, she turned to look at him, she was hurting.

"Is the moon bad?" She asked looking up, the moon was bright and it made her glow.

"It is unwise to be alone"

"But I'm not alone" She looked at him again,

"I am not your protector"

"I know" She went back to looking at the water "He will go to her"

"He is already with her"

He could see her freeze "Why do you stay"

"Why run away"

At least she was strong, it would be wise for her to run, but that would be easy, at least she had her honor.

"Do you not fear the wolf?"

Kagome shrugged "Kouga, sure, but I will known when he is coming"

Thats true, he still had two shards, at least with him she would have a heads up.

Kagome sat back on her feet "Sesshomaru" She asked,

He said nothing,

"Does it hurt?"

He knew what she was talking about,

"It is a burn"

"Will he be in pain?"

"If he fights it, Inuyasha is weak, he will fall pray"

She looks at him "You will hate him even more"

He didn't say anything "My father fell to this weakness" He said with sickness,

"Do all demons fall prey, or can some decided?"

"I decided"

"So, maybe your father did"

He narrowed his eyes at her,

"Sorry, not my business" She stood "So, what is the first sign?"

"Restlessness"

She half smiled and returned to her friends.
