Hey! We decided to put a chapter in that dealed with a big problem in D. Gray-Man. It's bugged us for a while, and we've been wanting something to be done about it, but that never happened. So, we did something about it in this chapter. Don't forget to read RavenNightshade98's fanfics and my other fanfics, too. This chapter is in Neliel's POV.

Ch. 6 Spring Changes

Karasu and I walked into Komui's office. We were told he wanted to talk to us, and I wasn't sure I really wanted to only a couple days after our trial. Everyone in the Order now knew that we were Noah, on top of being exorcists. Not only that, but we were...well...in a word, ancient.

"There you are, you two," he said when he saw us walk in. "I have another mission for the two of you." He began explaining the details of the mission, but I couldn't concentrate. My OCD was kicking in. There were papers all over not only the desk, but the floor and bookshelves as well. They were probably taking the place of the books that also littered the space.

"Could we put the mission aside for a day or two?" I asked. "I can't even concentrate on the details as long as we're in this akuma attack gone wrong that you call an office. Have you ever considered cleaning it?"

"I have considered it, actually," Komui answered. "But then I told myself that I had better stuff to do than take a day off of work to clean."

"You took a day off to destroy the town," Karasu argued.

"That was different! I thought that Lenalee was going on a date, and as her brother I couldn't allow that to happen!"

"Well, I can't believe I'm saying this, but would you let us clean your office?" I asked him.

"Well, I suppose you could, but do you even know where to start?"

"We'll figure it out. Just leave it to us."

"Ok, then." Komui walked over to the couch and laid down on it. He fell asleep shortly after.

Karasu and I began dividing up tasks. I took the job of gathering and sorting all the paperwork, while she gathered and alphabetized the books on the shelves.

I separated the paperwork into a few different piles: things from Lenalee (obviously), mission requests, letters, and trash. I didn't find as many mission requests as I expected, but there were still quite a few. A few of them caught my eye. A couple of them said that villagers had reported seeing a monster, and others said someone saw a suspicious man walking along at night. It sounded like it could be an akuma, so I pointed it out to Karasu.

"They sound too similar to be a coincidence," I said. "Maybe it's not the same thing, but it could be. Some people saw it as human. Others saw it as a 'monster.' I think we should check into it."

"Yeah, you're probably right," Karasu agreed. "We'll leave as soon as we finish in here."

"Alright." We hurried up and finished cleaning Komui's office. Once all the books were on the shelves and the papers stacked neatly on his desk (with the trash pile thrown away), we woke Komui up.

"You already finished?" he asked.

"Yup," Karasu answered. "Neliel found something interesting in a few of the mission requests, so we're going to go and check it out. We shouldn't be gone long."

"But what about the mission I had for you?"

"Give it to another exorcist. I don't think Miranda and Marie have gone on a mission in a while. They would be more than happy to take on a mission."

"But you two can't just leave by yourselves! You have to take a finder with you."

"It's best if we go alone," I said.

"At least take another exorcist."

"No can do. We're leaving now. Bye!"

"Bye, Panda-kun!" Karasu said. We didn't stick around to listen to anything else Komui had to say. We left his office and went to gather some things from our rooms. Then we went to the last place the akuma was sighted, a small village a couple hours away from the Order.

When we got there, it was like a ghost town. There was nobody in sight. Karasu went to one of the houses and knocked on the door.

"Hello?" she called. "Is anybody home?" While she searched for people in buildings, I walked around town to see if I could find something on the akuma. It wasn't long before I felt like I was being followed. When I felt like whoever, or whatever, was following me was close enough, I stopped walking.

"You can come out now!" I called to them. "I know you're following me." Someone walked out from behind a nearby house. It was Allen.

"So you knew I was there?" he asked me.

"Well, I wasn't really expecting you. Did Komui send you?"

"Yeah. Troy's here, too."

"Great. Well, make sure to stay out of our way. Karasu and I work better when it's just the two of us." I walked past him and went back to find Karasu.

Troy was with Karasu, as I figured he would be, and they were arguing. Same old, same old.

"My name is Troy!" Troy yelled.

"If I say your name is Triton, then your name is Triton!" Karasu yelled back.

"Just because you say something, it doesn't make it true!"

"Okay, that's enough, you two," I told them. "Troy, just give up. She's not going to stop calling you Triton. You're just putting fuel on the fire by arguing with her about it."

"So, do you want to explain why we're even here?" Allen asked.

"Panda-kun sent you here," Karasu answered.

"I meant why you guys came here in the first place."

"We think there's an akuma in this area," I said. "It hasn't killed anybody yet, but we want to stop it before it does."

"What makes you think there's an akuma in this area?" Troy asked.

"When we were cleaning Panda-kun's office, Nel-chan found quite a few reports of what sounded like akuma sightings," Karasu answered. "Whatever they saw was last seen in this village a couple days ago."

"And you think it's still here?"

"No, but we could at least look for clues about where it might have gone next."

"Did you find anyone that lives here?" I asked Karasu.

"It doesn't look like anyone has lived here in a long time. Whoever sent in the request from this village was probably from a traveler passing through here."

"I haven't found any signs of the akuma even being here. I thought maybe it was following me earlier, but that turned out to be Allen."

"I wasn't following you," Allen said. "Troy and I just got here right before I met up with you."

"Then what was following me?"

"Look out!" Karasu yelled. She ran at me and pulled me away from where I was standing. When I looked back to see what she pulled me away from, I couldn't believe what I was seeing.

It was an akuma. But not just any akuma. This akuma was stronger than any other akuma Karasu and I had ever run into. This akuma was specifically designed to only attack Karasu and me. This akuma was so strong that it didn't even have a level. This akuma put Karasu and me to sleep for hundreds of years.

I watched as Allen attacked the akuma from behind. He slashed at the back of the akuma with his Innocence, Crown Clown, but he didn't do anything to it. He moved out of Troy's way as he attacked the akuma with his Innocence, Aquarius. But, as with Allen, he didn't do any damage.

Karasu and I activated our Innocence and attacked the akuma. We still didn't do any damage. The akuma hit us both in the stomach and sent us flying through the house behind us. We got up, and saw the akuma standing right in front of us.

It put one hand on my forehead, and the other hand on Karasu's forehead.

The last thing I saw was Allen and Troy moving to attack the akuma together, right before the akuma vanished.

Then everything went black.

There you go! I think that's probably the quickest I've updated a chapter. Lol. Review, please!
