Some time passed before Michaela was ready to separate from Bickslow. Sitting back on the couch she rubbed her eyes and sniffled a bit. Meanwhile, Bickslow stood up and stretched.
"You're super light. Have you been eating properly?" He asked as he rubbed his head frowning at the girl. Rolling her eyes at him Mika stood up herself.
"I'm not that big to have much weight on me." Huffing a bit she hugged her torso tightly. Eying the man she quickly looked away as he was still looking at her.
"What now?" Michaela asked hesitantly. Sure she had found her brother and he had promised to never let her disappear like that again but... The future still seemed hazy. And that gave her an unsettling feeling in the pit of her stomach.
"You're gonna join Fairy Tail, obviously!" Bickslow barked out a laugh as he made a grab for her hand and started dragging the girl towards the door ignoring her week struggles.
"H-hey!" Was all Michaela had managed to stutter out before she was out in the Guildhall again and still being dragged by her brother towards the bar counter where the beautiful white-haired lady was. However, there seemed to be more people in the guild now and all of them seemed to be looking at her. Panic rose within her as Michaela dug her heels into the floor and struggled even harder now completely set on returning to the room they had been in a few seconds ago and hiding.
Since the struggling on her part had intensified so suddenly, Bickslw wasn't prepared for it and his hand slipped. stumbling a few feet back, Mika swirled around and dashed back into the room and slammed the door shut.
Bickslow stared at the shut door dumbfounded as did the rest of the guild though most found it amusing.
"Are you fucking kidding me?" Bickslow couldn't help himself curse as he stomped back toward the door and knocked.
"Oyy, Mika, c'mon! no one's going to bite ya." He tried reasoning with the girl but no sound came from the inside of the room. "You there?" Heavy footsteps approached him and he turned to glance to see who was coming although this was Laxus's office, Bickslow wasn't surprised to see the dragon-slayer approach.
"Hey, boss. I uhmm..." Bickslow stammered not sure what to say. He knew how, in a way, the man could be possessive of his belongings. Stepping aside hesitantly, Bickslow watched in slight fear as Laxus approached the door. The said man knocked once, loudly, earning a squeak from behind the door.
"Listen here, if I open this door and find even one thing out of place, I'm frying your ass."
Few seconds passed. Bickslow stared at Laxus completely dumbfounded because partially he was sure that the man would blast the door open and the other part, a considerably tiny one, was thinking that the man would try to talk his sister out of the room calmly. This was neither. Laxus just stood there staring at the door, his arm crossed, eyes narrowed.
More seconds passed and finally, the doors cracked open a bit and a wary Mika looked through the small opening and eyed Laxus as if contemplating if he would follow up on his word. A part of her, one that had been pushed aside for so long, wanted to annoy him and do just that, but in a minuscule manner that would make the man lose it trying to figure out what was out of place. Deciding that he looked intimidating enough for her not to risk it, Michaella shut the door again and rested her forehead on the cool wood. She hasn't had this much interaction so long and after the water-works, she felt even more exhausted. Turning away from the door she eyed the couch and walked over it. She wasn't necessarily putting it out place so it shouldn't be too much of a stretch to take a nap. Sitting and then laying down Michaela sighed and curled up into a ball soon after falling asleep.
Laxus had listened carefully to what was happening behind the door. He heard the couch let out a quiet huff as the girl apparently sat on it. Her heartbeat seemed to slow down a bit, now beating at a slow pace and so did her breathing. Laxus glaring face morphed into one of disbelief. Before Bickslow could ask what's going on Laxus shrugged him off.
"She's taking a nap. I, on the other hand, have documents to fill in since gramps ain't gonna do 'em." Laxus grumbled as he opened the door and walked in and shut it in Bicklosw's face giving him a smirk when he saw that Bickslow was ready to argue. Frankly, Laxus didn't care that the pipsqueak was taking a nap in his office as long as she wasn't gonna bother him. He'd noticed how her heart had sped up when the guilds' attention was on her and he figured that the chick wouldn't take it kindly if Bickslow took her somewhere without her being aware of it.
Laxus had met people who acted out in a similar pattern that this Mika girl had. Hell, he's been the cause of few panic attacks so he knew when one was coming and where to draw the line. Though he had to admit that considering how jumpy the girl was it didn't seem that she was easily intimidated when one was trying to do so. Could be sheer stubbornness like Bickslow or maybe she's quite confident in her abilities.
Shaking his head as he was thinking too much into it Laxus did as he told Bickslow, as the stack of papers on his table seemed to have grown since yesterday. Grumbling about lazyass gramps and fuck this shit, Laxus set to work.
