"Not very long." Castiel responded solemnly. "A day. Maybe two. We don't have much time to end the curse." She nodded in understanding. Tears still glistening in her eyes.
"I can't find anything." Justin said, popping back into the room. "They're just gone."
"Then we're on our own." Castiel replied. "Where did the darkness first show itself?"
"At the east end of the Glenn." Alea
Answered.
"You stay here with Luke. I will go investigate." Cas said, before disappearing from the room.
Sam found the mermaid library quite easily. Though the waterfall was a dead give away. A beautiful mermaid sat on a rock near the waterfall reading a book. Her hair fell down her shoulders in a dark sapphire.
"Hello." She greeted upon noticing him. "How may I help you?" Her dark green orbs, a startling change from her dark blue appearance, studied him curiously.
"Are you Sapphire?" He asked.
"I am." He voice was soft and melodious. Like a song.
"Turquoise sent me to gather information." Sam stood awkwardly. Her beauty captivated him.
"Follow me." She dove into the water and swam under the waterfall. Sam hesitated a moment before stepping in behind her. The water, surprisingly, didn't touch him.
"Welcome to the mermaid's library." Sapphire said. She pulled herself out of the water and her dark blue tail transformed into legs. A sapphire skirt covered her.
"What did Turquoise send you to find?" Sapphire asked, stepping closer to him.
"She needs information on the darkness surrounding the Glenn." Sam replied.
"There's not much here." Sapphire informed. "Most of the books on magick are kept with the Fey Magick Keepers. But I think I have a few." She disappeared into the shelves of books and came back with four heavy looking, leather bound tomes. She placed them on a near by table.
"This is all I have." She said. "Shall we begin?"
"Oh. Yeah." Sam stuttered. He picked up a book and leafed through it. Careful not to tear the old papyrus.
Dean walked through the trees with Ignis. She strode silently beside him and they made their way to the training grounds.
"Are you talented in any weapon besides a gun?" She asked.
"I've used a sword a few times." He shrugged. "I wasn't great at it, but I'm not horrible."
"Perfect. Xander will train you." She walked faster through the trees and Dean slowed down.
"Damn." He said under his breath, following behind Ignis.
