A/N: Sorry for the long wait and I know this chapter is a bit random, but I wanted some more Mobbie so...here it is. Kind of fluffy chapter, I hope to get back to the main story soon but this bit is cute and needed to be added anyway. :D

V Residence, 1PM:

Mabel entered her and Robbie's bedroom. She had just put down Amber and Coal down for their after-lunch naps. She still hadn't changed out of her robe and pajamas and her hair was a mess. Mabel grumbled under her breath tiredly as she made her way to the closet. Upon opening the wooden double doors, she growled. The closet was a mess and the hamper was overflowing.

"Guess I'm doing laundry." Mabel sighed. She glanced at the clock on the side table. Gotta pick up Sage in two hours. She realized with frustration that if her dryer acted up again, she'd have to leave wet clothes behind. I could always hang them outside old-school style. That'll take forever! Mabel placed a hand to her forehead trying to calm the ache in her mind.

Mabel grabbed the hamper and trudged down the hall. Her footsteps careful and quiet so she wouldn't wake the twins. The laundry room was all the way on the other side of the house. Mabel's arms weighed down with the hamper and she groaned in pain.

As soon as the clothes were placed in the washer and the detergent applied, Mabel made her way back to her room. Time to reorganize and clean up.

Upon reaching the room, Mabel noticed something odd. The door, which she had left open was closed. Soft music came from inside the room. Mabel instantly stiffened. Her instincts were screaming at her to run the other way. Suddenly, a flash of red caught her eye. A rose petal, hidden beneath the door peeked out at her and a familiar scent filled her nose. She smiled fondly, Robbie! He must've come home while I was in the laundry room!

Reaching for the handle, Mabel remembered with dread her little secret. She placed a soft hand on her stomach and shuddered. I have to tell him. No matter what happens, he deserves to know. Taking a deep breath, Mabel yanked open her bedroom door.

Rose petals lined the floor and were scattered all over the king-sized bed. Robbie was nowhere to be seen, but Mabel noticed the door to their bathroom was closed. She looked to the mirror over the bed and winced. Her hair was still in its haphazard ponytail from the night before. Small strands spilled out in lazy wisps and some clung to her face. Her eyes looked tired and she could see the sweat gleaming off her skin. Her robe and pajamas were rumpled and made her look big. Mabel raced to her dresser and pulled out her spare hairbrush. Yanking her tie off, Mabel began to brush out her long chocolate brown hair. With most of the knots under control, Mabel turned her attention to the closet. She didn't know how long Robbie would stay in the bathroom. In haste, she grabbed a yellow and green summer dress and pulled it over her head.

She pulled her hair back into a high pony-tail just as two arms snaked around her waist. A scratchy beard rested against her shoulder and neck. A pair of lips met her cheeks and a soft voice whispered in her ear. "Hello gorgeous."

Mabel chuckled and spun around. Her eyes found a two pools of deep blue-almost black eyes. "I thought you were at practice."

Robbie smiled, "We got out early. The band's doing really well lately. Of course, I felt my muse deserved some extra love."

Mabel grinned as Robbie's lips met hers. He was soft yet firm. Mabel loved that Robbie was full of contradictions like that. He was tough on the outside. To everyone else, he was that cold-hearted rock-god that liked to pick fights but at home he was sweet. A loving father and a romantic husband. Mabel's heart sped up and her hands instantly reached for his face and pulled him closer.

Her heart and body told her to keep going. To force him onto the bed and get in a quick session with her personal love doctor before she had to pick up Sage. Her mind, however reminded her of her promise outside the door. With hesitation, Mabel pushed her husband away.

Robbie looked down at her, a clearly confused and slightly hurt expression on his face.

Mabel sighed, she hated to see that look. As much as Robbie would vehemently deny it, Mabel knew he was more sensitive then he let on. Mabel wrung her hands through her hair nervously. For a long time she couldn't say anything. The guilt and fear raced through her mind. Guilt at not telling him sooner and fear that after hearing what she had to say, he would leave.

"Uhm...I-I have to..." Come on, Mabel! Just say it! "I have to tell you something." Mabel's head fell and she found herself staring at the rose petals. More guilt and fear struck her heart like lightning.

Robbie said nothing and soon an uncomfortable silence only pierced by Mabel's favorite love song still playing on the stereo settled. Mabel felt as though her mouth was sewn shut on the inside, words failed to come out.

The sound of Robbie's footsteps penetrated Mabel's ears as he crossed the room. She could hear the stereo being turned off and the song stopped playing. Mabel grimaced, she could feel Robbie come back toward her. Here it comes!

One hand pulled her head up and Mabel found herself staring into her husband's impossibly blue eyes. "This wouldn't have anything to do with the fact that you're pregnant, would it?"

Mabel felt her eyes widen in shock, "You knew?!"

Robbie's eyes stared at her with an unreadable expression. "I didn't...until last night."

Mabel frowned in confusion, trying hard to remember what had happened last night. Did I say something in my sleep?

Robbie pulled something from behind his back pocket. It was a small white item wrapped in a sandwich bag. Mabel immediately recognized one of the pregnancy tests she had used a few nights before. "I found this when I took out the trash," he stated in explanation. "Why didn't you tell me?"

Mabel's eyes watered, "I was going to! I just...I was just afraid you were gonna leave me if we had another baby and I don't want to give it up and I don't want to lose you either and- and now you probably don't love me anymore. I mean look at me! I'm not getting any younger and I still have some baby fat from the twins and you're still the best-looking guy I know an-and...please don't leave me!" At this point, Mabel had her head in her hands and was sobbing hysterically.

Silence ensued and Mabel was certain that Robbie would leave, disgusted with her.

Two arms wrapped around Mabel and pulled her toward a warm body. Mabel grabbed the soft material of a sweater she had made a few years ago and sobbed into it. Soft hands caressed her hair and Mabel thought she heard whispers but her cries drowned them out. After catching her breath, Mabel looked up into two warm eyes. She was shocked to see the beginnings of tears in Robbie's eyes.

"Mabel, how could you think like that? I know I was a shallow, awful person when I was younger but then I got to know you. You made me a better person Mabel. You're beautiful and kind. You outshine the sun with your smile and your eyes are the most beautiful shade of green I've ever seen. You're crazy and fun. You never gave up on me even when I was at my worst, you saw the best I had to offer. You're the most amazing wife in the world and I absolutely love our kids. I could never leave you, my muse."

Mabel stood, still shocked. After digesting his words, she felt her heart and eyes soften. "Oh, Robbie!"

"To be honest, I'm surprised you haven't left me."

Mabel's jaw dropped. "What? How-why would I-?"

"Because you're perfect and I'm...well, I'm just me." Robbie hung his head and Mabel felt her heart break for him. "I screwed things up with Wendy and she's nowhere near as amazing as you, I'm shocked I even got this far with you. I thank my lucky stars every night that you're still by my side. That someone like you would even want to be anywhere near someone as flawed as me."

Mabel grabbed Robbie's arms and pushed her forehead against his. "Listen to me, Robbie V. You are amazing. You may not see it, but I do! You're a great father and an even better husband." She started to chuckle, "I can't believe we're both so insecure and yet we're still here. I love you so much, I would never leave you!"

"I would never leave you either, Mabel V. I love you too!"

Relief flooded through Mabel as she leaned into her husband's kiss. When the two finally broke apart, she took a small glance at the clock...

"Holy smokes! It's already 2:50?!" She screamed, causing Robbie to jump in surprise.

"What, what's happening?!" He cried.

"I have to pick up Sage in ten minutes and-ugh! I forgot the laundry! I love your surprise, really but I've got to go!"

"Hold on!" Robbie grabbed Mabel's wrist as she raced by, "why don't you pick up Sage and I'll take care of the laundry."

Mabel looked suspicious, "really?"

"You should go and have fun with Sage. Some mother-daughter time will do you both some good. Don't worry about the twins or the house, I owe you a new surprise. My muse still deserves an act of romance wouldn't you agree?"

Mabel grinned, "Robbie, you're the best!" She threw her arms around the tall man and swiftly kissed his cheek.

"Not as good as you." Robbie smiled fondly as he watched his wife disappear.

He turned to the petal-littered room and sighed as the sound of the twins' sobbing filled the air. Looks like I'm in for a long day. He looked at the picture of himself and Mabel on their wedding day and grinned, she's worth it.
