Hello, good fellows. I was kinda busy last week, so I had no time to write this further. But now that I finally do have some free time, it would be about time I continued it. (I wrote time too much, didn't I?) Anyway, as you know, last scene was the final one in Act 1 and thus, I should move on to the next act. Well, here it is. Enjoy.
Act 2, Scene 1
(The day of the Olympic Games opening ceremony. Morning. Alexa, Bia and Tiago are still in that car from the last scene. Apparently, the car has been driving for the whole night. Bia and Alexa are waking up. They see Tiago, who is not unconscious anymore, but just sleeping. Alexa and Bia look at each other and then back at Tiago. The driver has still not noticed anything. Bia decides to wake Tiago up.)
BIA (quietly shakes Tiago's shoulder): Hey, Tiago... Hey... Wake up. (Tiago wakes up, slowly.)
TIAGO (waking up): Mhm...? (Sees Bia in front of him.) Oh, hey, Bia. (Sees Alexa as well.) Alexa? (Looks around.) What... Where are we?
BIA: I don't know. Last night you fell in this car and you didn't move. Alexa and I tried to wake you up, but this guy (points at the driver) locked everything and started driving! And so, we don't know where we are.
TIAGO (sarcastically): Oh, great! (Looks at Alexa and says, even more sarcastically): Just plain great!
(The car finally stops. The driver opens the car door, to which the three react quickly.)
BIA: Quick, let's get out!
(The three quickly fly out of the car and keep flying to the top of the nearest skyscraper. They land there, only to witness a panoramic view of a city that is totally not Rio, yet equally beautiful. The three are confused, and even somewhat worried, by the fact that they're lost and they have no idea where they are.)
ALEXA (worriedly): What is this? (Pause.) Where are we?
BIA (equally worried): I don't know. (Looks around.) Maybe we should-
(Bia gets frightened for a second, but calms down. In front of her appeared an elderly female bird of a species I'd better not name because of spoilers. She apologizes for scaring Bia): Oh, sorry, I didn't mean to do that.
BIA: No, it's okay.
(The old bird does not recognize the three.) Hey, I haven't seen you three around here... ever. (She is confused.)
BIA (looks at Tiago and Alexa nervously, then back at the old bird): Well, um... we're from Rio and...
(The old bird): Oh, the beautiful Rio! Well, nice to meet you. I'm Mihaela.
BIA: Bia.
TIAGO: Tiago.
ALEXA: Alexandra. But you can call me Alexa.
(They all shake wings.)
MIHAELA: So, why are you here?
BIA: I don't know, we shouldn't have ended up here. We got in a car somehow and it drove us here and we're now... lost. (Pause.)
MIHAELA: And you're worrying. Really? There is no reason to worry just because you're lost. (Thinks of an idea.) Hey, you know what? I'll take you to a dance. To an interesting place. And no one will know. (Tiago looks at her.) What do you say?
BIA, TIAGO and ALEXA (look at each other, then at Mihaela): Okay!
MIHAELA: Oh, I almost forgot. Guys, (spreads her wings to show the whole city) welcome to Sao Paulo!
You read that right, guys. Sao damn Paulo! You're now probably wondering what the three will be doing there. Or better yet, what species this Mihaela is! I'm sorry to say this, but I can't spoil the latter yet, because it will be crucial for one of the three secrets. Sorry. Anyway, leave comments. Thanks.
